YAK GIVES BIRTH IN MIDDLE OF REMOTE MOUNTAIN ROAD AS HERD CROSSES

Watch as a yak herd crossing a remote mountain road is interrupted by the dramatic arrival of a newborn calf.
The remarkable footage, filmed in Ganzi by Ga Mujie, Sichuan, China, shows a large group of shaggy-haired yaks moving across a paved road in the mountainous countryside.
Among the herd, one female yak stops in the middle of the road to give birth, with her newborn calf lying on the asphalt moments after arriving into the world.
The mother stands protectively beside her calf as the rest of the herd continues moving around them, seemingly undisturbed by the rare moment unfolding.
