The father of a female student who was stabbed at a school in Banting on Monday (July 6) has urged the public to refrain from making any speculation and to leave the investigation to the police.

Mohd Firuz Ibrahim said he is aware of the allegations circulating online involving a list of alleged targets, which reportedly included his daughter's name, purportedly written by the female suspect who was her former classmate last year.

00:12Mohamed Firouz Ibrahim said he was aware of allegations circulating online involving an
00:18alleged list of targets said to have been written by the female suspect, but stressed
00:23that the document has not been verified.
00:25He also insisted that his daughter was not involved in bullying and rarely left the
00:31house without being accompanied by either parent.
00:34He added that his family does not know the suspect's family.
00:38However, Mohamed Firouz said he is willing to cooperate with the police if investigations
00:43uncover any evidence of bullying and is open to meeting the suspect's family.
00:49Meanwhile, he said his daughter is expected to be discharged from hospital in about a
00:54week depending on her recovery.
00:56She remains traumatised but is in stable condition after undergoing four hours of treatment in
01:02the ICU to remove blood from her lungs.
01:06Describing the incident as heartbreaking, Mohamed Firouz expressed hope that it would serve as
01:12a lesson and called for stricter security measures in schools, including proper screening of visitors
01:17before they are allowed onto school premises.
01:20Earlier, the female suspect was remanded for four days until July 10th to assist in the police investigation.
