00:01Every question is a kill, right?
00:03Sir, we don't have a helicopter.
00:04We have a delicopter.
00:07Fifty years we've been landing helicopters on grass.
00:10The grass is wet, soggy.
00:13The helicopters sometimes miss their little mark.
00:16You know, they send people out, Marines.
00:18I watch them do it.
00:19They march out so beautiful, great guys.
00:22They have a piece of metal that they put down.
00:24And except for the fact that these pilots are so good,
00:26they almost hit the mark all the time.
00:28But sometimes they miss their half the size of this desk.
00:32Think of it. You're landing a big chopper.
00:34But, you know, years ago and they just got produced.
00:41But during my administration, they ordered brand new helicopters.
00:44The big ones, the ones for president.
00:47It's called Marine One.
00:49And our other Marine ones are about 40 years old.
00:51They're all like Air Force One.
00:52You know, it's time to make a change.
00:54And other presidents wouldn't do that
00:56because I think it's not good to make a change to luxury.
00:58But you got to do it.
00:59You know, other countries have them.
01:01So Sikorsky gave —
01:02we ordered a number of Sikorskys as the helicopters back and forth.
01:07Well, they're about two and a half times more powerful than the old ones.
01:11And when you land on the grass, it's not that the grass gets discolored.
01:15It gets ripped out.
01:17Ripped out.
01:19And it was all over it.
01:20They landed it once.
01:22And nobody planned for this.
01:23This was a little bit of a planning mistake.
01:27So they landed the helicopter.
01:29And half of the grass was sitting in front of the Oval Office front door.
01:33The rest of it was scattered all over the — I mean, literally, it didn't singe it.
01:37It also singed it, by the way.
01:39But it literally — because of the power.
01:43It's tremendous.
01:45And everybody said, well, we'll keep using the old helicopters when we have to land at the White House.
01:52And for everything else, we use the new helicopters.
01:54They said, that's a pretty expensive deal.
01:56You wouldn't do that for your company.
01:58You'd figure out an answer.
01:59So I said — because I have helicopters, and three of them.
02:03And I said — because they've been great for my business.
02:06I think they're incredible.
02:09So, Sikorsky's.
02:11Sikorsky 76, right?
02:13And I always was lucky.
02:15I always got helipads.
02:16Other people don't.
02:17Very hard to get.
02:18The hardest thing to get is a helipad.
02:20Okay?
02:21There's no harder zoning thing to get is a helipad.
02:24And I had, like, seven of them at different places.
02:26So I could go around by helicopter.
02:29And I said to the people, have you ever thought — these are generals,
02:32Air Force generals, that are brilliant.
02:35And, you know, you get used to a certain thing.
02:37They'd bring out the metal.
02:38But this was — now the metal didn't work because the power of these helicopters is so great,
02:43it ripped up the grass, right?
02:45So I said, has anybody ever thought of a helipad?
02:47Because I build them, and they go quickly, and it solves all of the problems.
02:53Sikorsky's laughing.
02:54It's true, right?
02:56It's crazy.
02:58So it was funny.
02:59I said, has anyone ever thought of a helipad?
03:01I had, like, six generals in front of me.
03:03And they're going like, wow, that's a good idea.
03:05You know, it's like the paperclip.
03:07It was such a simple adventure.
03:09Probably he says that about a laptop.
03:12To him, it's a simple thing.
03:13To other people, wow.
03:14But the paperclip.
03:16200 years ago, a gentleman came up with the idea for a paperclip.
03:21And he made a lot of money.
03:22He became very rich — not as rich as Michael Dell, but rich — in those money.
03:28And what happened is everybody was jealous.
03:30They said, why didn't we think of this?
03:32Same thing with a helipad.
03:33So now we're building a helipad — beautiful helipad.
03:37And it's got the seal of the White House on it in granite, in carved granite.
03:41It's really a beautiful thing.
03:43And I'll tell you, Sikorsky is paying for it.
03:46You know why?
03:47Because they didn't tell us how powerful these helicopters were.
03:50And they felt a little bit guilty.
03:52They sold us — I like power, by the way.
03:55I think it's great for a helicopter.
03:59But they probably — I don't know — they felt a little guilty.
04:03And they are paying for the cost of — it's about five or six million dollars.
04:07They're paying the full cost.
04:08And when I heard they were paying the cost, I went out and said,
04:11let's do a beauty.
04:13Let's not just do a piece of concrete and paint it white,
04:16which is why I just put beautiful concrete, nice — and we paint it white.
04:19This one is a beauty.
04:20It's got the seal of the White House.
04:23It's beautiful.
04:24The eagle.
04:25And it's carved out of granite.
04:26It's done by some of the most talented people you'll ever meet.
04:29And you're landing on granite, which is the strongest stone that we can —
04:33like the outside walk is black granite.
04:37It's got — that's 35,000 pounds per square inch.
04:40It's got a one million-plus lifetime.
04:43It's the strongest stone there is.
04:45And that's being used out there.
04:47And it's going to be, I think, really beautiful.
04:48And you can see the size.
04:50It's going to be beautiful.
04:51It's got — and it could be used for other things.
04:53When helicopters aren't landing, you can have other things out there, like events.
04:57You could have news conferences literally on it, because it's the right size.
05:00So by doing this, we solved the problem.
05:02And we'll be able to finally retire a 45-year-old helicopter.
05:06Okay, how about — how about one or two more, and we'll get out?
05:08Go ahead, please.
05:10— Mr. President, about the FIFA decision,
05:11millions of American soccer fans are obviously very happy.
05:14But what do you say to the critics who say this starts a precedent
05:16which other powerful leaders —
05:18Well, I don't know.
05:20I mean, I can only say this.
05:22I had nothing to do with the decision.
05:24What I did have to do is, I said, I think it should be reviewed,
05:27because I watched the play.
05:29And he didn't do anything wrong.
05:31You know, you've got to look at —
05:33By the way, if he did, I'd feel differently, probably.
05:35If he punched him in the face, if he did something wrong.
05:39I thought your young, wonderful basketball player,
05:45Caitlin, I thought that she was treated rather rough, if you want to know the truth.
05:50That was a much different kind of an event.
05:52That was a pretty bad event.
05:55But in this case, he didn't do anything wrong.
05:57Two people ran into each other.
05:59And by the way, if you look at that game,
06:01there were 10 instances where it was much rougher than that.
06:04So I think it starts with the fact that it shouldn't have been a foul.
06:10And then you have to look at the person that raised the card,
06:12and that's up to you people.
06:14You'll look at it.
06:14But I didn't think it was very good, because it was not good.
06:18And I think that Johnny is brilliant at what he does.
06:22And I think they made —
06:23I don't think it was his decision.
06:24It's a big committee.
06:26And after reviewing it, I think they said,
06:28Look, it's — this would — this game would have a big mark on it.
06:33If we lost — if we won.
06:35No matter what happened, you have to let them use their best players.
06:40And the game tonight is going to be amazing.
06:42And we're going to have a full team.
06:44And Belgium is going to have a full team.
06:46And you know what?
06:46If they beat us, then they can be really proud.
06:50The other way, if they beat us, we'll say it was —
06:53I'd say it was rigged, just like the election was rigged in 2020.
06:57But I won't get into that.
06:59Ladies and gentlemen, thank you very much.
07:01The Trump accounts are great. Thank you.
07:18So he thinks it's easy.
07:22Every question is a kill.
07:24Sir, we don't have a helicopter. We have a delicopter.
07:39We have a delicopter.
