00:00I talked about the record highs. Here it is. New graphic. 103 in Poughkeepsie. Previous record for the date for
00:07July 2nd, 1966. We hit 97. We destroyed that record by 6 degrees. Atlantic City at the airport, about 10,
00:1412 miles inland. 103 today. Old record was 100 from 1966. That was a hot one. Hotter than that this
00:20year, though.
00:21Wilmington, Delaware, 103. Previous record was 98. Reading, PA, 103. That same date in 1966 on July 2nd. We hit
00:29102, a degree hotter this year. D.C., back in 1898, we hit 101 on July 2nd. We hit 102
00:38today. So big time heat. Tomorrow, we're going to be real hot.
00:41So here are the current temps. We're back down to 96 in New York. We did hit 100 at Central
00:46Park. So 100 at Central Park. It was our first 100-degree day since 2012 and our 61st overall for
00:54Central Park history.
00:55Tomorrow, AccuWeather real field temperatures. In the bright white here, it's going to be 110-plus in those areas for
01:00the AccuWeather real field temps. What's the actual temp? A record of 102 in D.C.
01:05That would break the record again. Back-to-back days. Probably breaking records in Charlotte and Providence as well. Not
01:12quite the record in Wilmington or Norfolk, but it'll be close.
01:15Strong storms break out there into the interior then. Saturday, more extreme heat. This is July 4th. Our nation's 250th
01:24birthday. And in D.C., we're going to be dealing with some big-time heat.
01:27Philadelphia, AccuWeather real field of 104. Actual air temp of 99. And we'll have some more records in Raleigh. Baltimore
01:33will be close. But Raleigh, we should do it.
01:36Richmond, we should do it. Charlotte and Norfolk, Virginia.
01:38These kinds of numbers, they're just downright dangerous. New York City, Washington, all the way down the I-95 corridor
01:45with AccuWeather real fields above 110 degrees.
