00:00Uh, and here we go tonight, Zach Wheeler, who's given up 13 runs in his last three starts,
00:06Greg, but two 50, two 60 overnight, I'm seeing nothing but Marlon money, uh, coming in all
00:14day long.
00:15And it makes sense given what they just saw from him.
00:20It's not like they didn't have success for him here in South Florida.
00:23And there are, might be a little sign of maybe exhaustion happening here right now with Wheeler.
00:29Yeah, I'm not really sure what's going on with Wheeler, but that, but his first, uh, poor
00:33start really of the season was, was in Miami.
00:36The Marlins got to him.
00:37The Marlins swept the Phillies here.
00:39They came back in all three games to win those games.
00:41A bullpen for Philly just completely blew apart and it almost blew apart for them last night
00:46to a bowling again came in like he did in Miami and almost gave it up for a second time
00:52in
00:52the last two times that he faced them.
00:53Uh, but the Marlins today opted to not start Tyler Phillips, who has been a starter for
01:00them all season long.
01:00And they're going with a lefty Cade Gibson.
01:04Uh, but this is, it's, it's an interesting move and it's a little complicated for me.
01:08And, you know, I'm in the weeds a little more with Miami than anything else.
01:11And the, the issue for Miami, as I see going into tonight is, uh, is the same thing that
01:19went into last night, but maybe it's even more exacerbated here because if Gibson opens
01:24the game, they really don't have any lefties to get out the lefties on Philadelphia late
01:31in the game.
01:32This, this guy, John King, who came in and gave up a bunch of runs yesterday.
01:35I don't think you'll see him again tonight, which leaves them, I think with no one or maybe
01:40Dax Fulton, I, they don't have almost anybody to get it.
01:43The thing with this game tonight, this is what I would say is that the comeback that you saw
01:48last night from Miami, I don't think that happens tonight.
01:51I think the Marlins have to have a lead at some point today to take this game.
01:55I don't think if they fall behind, they come back like they have been.
01:58Cause I just think, uh, more runs are probably going to be scored in this game than we saw
02:03in last night's game.
02:04And I think Miami will get a little on wheel or two, whatever they figured out the last time.
02:08I think they can do it again, but this Kate Gibson is a reliever.
02:12He'll probably pitch an inning, maybe to get through Schwarber a first time, get through
02:17Harper a first time, get through Marsha first time, and then they'll turn it over to Phillips
02:21and hope that Phillips can have better success against Philadelphia.
02:24Cause unfortunately for Tyler, who by the way, pitched for the Phillies and threw a shutout
02:29with the Phillies two years ago, Tyler Phillips, he just has not had the same success in this
02:33park, uh, when he puts on that Miami uniform.
02:36So as I've said throughout this, uh, this week, tomorrow is really the key game for me.
02:41I think Miami's got a good shot to win tomorrow, but tonight, you know, obviously I can't come
02:45out on the air here and say Miami is like the biggest dog of the night and baseball is going
02:50to win.
02:50I hope so.
02:51But realistically speaking, when you see something like that, you can't say that you think it's
02:55going to happen.
02:57Well, I listen, we said it yesterday on the show.
03:00I thought that too, I'm not paying two 60 for, for Sanchez as good as he was early in
03:05the season.
03:06I agree with that.
03:06Yeah.
03:07Yeah.
03:07He's missing fewer and fewer bats and his last five starts.
03:12He is not what Philadelphia is not one wheelers last five starts here.
03:16In fact, he's got three losses and two, no decisions while giving up 13 runs.
03:20So there is maybe a little fatigue involved in this.
03:24And again, yeah, running to the window to lay $2 is not how you're going to make any
03:27money in baseball, uh, betting on this sport.
03:30I can tell you that right now.
03:31And he's got nearly an 82% left on base percentage too, Craig.
03:37So, you know, all of that finds a way to work its way back to the middle at some particular
03:43point here.
03:44I'm with you.
03:45I tend to think that maybe less runs, not more runs in this one here tonight.
03:49I'll also say this, that, that in a normal situation, uh, the Marlins wouldn't do this.
03:56They wouldn't just pull Phillips and put an opener there, but here's what's working in
04:01their favor.
04:02This is why I think, I don't know this for a fact, but I, because I'm not on the road
04:05with them, but I think this is the thinking Joe is the thinking is two things.
04:09Number one, let's unload the bullpen today because we won't need it tomorrow.
04:14Cause we have Sandy Alcantara.
04:15Cause we know that guy's going to go seven, eight innings and Joe, they're off the next
04:19day.
04:20So they, I think you can do a bullpen game.
04:23If you got Sandy the next day and nothing the day after that, I think you could kind
04:27of pull it off.
04:28So that's sort of their thinking.
04:29I'm going to take a look at the look ahead.
04:31Uh, Oh, it's not, they don't, I don't see anything for tomorrow.
04:34I'd be curious about tomorrow's game.
04:37Um, what that says for Miami, but I don't see any odds currently now.
04:40I'm sorry.
04:41I'm leaning forward here.
04:42I'm just checking it.
04:43Uh, no, that's fine.
04:44Yeah.
04:45Uh, yeah.
04:45I don't see any either yet, but that doesn't, uh, it doesn't mean that you're not close to
04:51it here.
04:51And I, I think tomorrow is a great shot.
04:55Tomorrow's a great thing.
04:56It happened.
04:57Yep.
04:57Anything is possible here tonight.
04:59I just would not expect crazy blowout.
