00:00It was an active day for severe weather across the state of Nebraska yesterday as multiple storms brought damaging winds,
00:06large hail, even some tornadic threats to portions of central Nebraska. Today we have a little bit of a lull
00:13in the severe weather across the central plains. Still not out of the question for a couple of rogue severe
00:17storms, especially as we get later into the evening. That threat really going to be focused across northeast Kansas, southeast
00:23Nebraska and then points to the east. We could also be looking a little bit further west for the potential
00:27for some stronger storms as well. But tomorrow,
00:29tomorrow is going to be another day that we're going to be watching for sure. This storm yesterday, the tornadic
00:34storm in central Nebraska, late in the evening hours, tons of lightning with this nearly constant flashes for folks up
00:41in the Ord area. They did see power outages as this storm rolled through, bringing winds over 75 miles per
00:46hour and the possible tornado threat with that as well. A lot of those storms continue to work their way
00:51overnight into the morning hours, and that is why we've seen kind of a hiccup in the pattern here today
00:56as that has really stabilized a lot of the area that we were going to be looking at.
00:59We're looking at for severe weather. So today a lower end threat, but we still will be out in the
01:04area just in case we do see storms fire later this afternoon into the evening. And then tomorrow we shift
01:09our attention in two directions, one across portions of the Midwest and the south. We're looking areas over from Missouri
01:15down to southern Illinois. That could be one area we're going to be watching. I will be focused on the
01:19area in the high plains. We're talking areas in eastern Colorado and western Kansas for us tomorrow. Reporting from Kearney,
01:25Nebraska for AccuWeather, I'm meteorologist Tony Laubach.
