01:44So it's not more – it's kind of crazy in August to say that it's more important
01:48for Pittsburgh to win the series, but it kind of is.

01:52Like, I think Pittsburgh now has to roll off two or three series wins.
01:56I hope they don't do it, but I could see them pushing forward a little bit

02:06I mean, Skeens has not been the Skeens here that we thought we might get
02:11over his past 15 starts.
02:13He's got over a 5 ERA, which is kind of shocking when you consider it a little bit
02:20of a velocity dip to Craig.
02:22I mean, he was throwing 98, 98.5 miles an hour.
02:27Now he's down to about 96, which may not seem like a lot.
02:31But when you start dropping a mile and a half like that, they're – either we're
02:37talking a very tired situation here or mechanically or something else is going on
02:43because there's no good reason for him to be losing velocity and be as bad as he
02:49has been here over the last 15 starts.

02:52I don't know what's going on.
02:53I'm not a good enough expert at this to be able to tell you.
02:57And the other part about this, Joe, specifically as it pertains to Skeens, if you've noticed,
03:02no one has the answer on what is going on with Skeens.
03:05It's not like you're reading anything or seeing anything on TV of saying, well, this is the

03:10No one seems to know the reason.
03:12His velo is pretty much still where it has been.
03:14So it's got to be something mechanical, and that's why the pressure is on the coaching
03:21staff and the front office in Pittsburgh right now, Joe.
03:23You can't have Paul Skeens finish the season with an ERA of five.
03:26You've got to get this right in the next couple months.
