00:09The three-day meeting comes as Israel continues to strike southern Lebanon despite a conditional ceasefire agreed in June.
00:24The discussions aim to expand existing security arrangements, resolve outstanding border disputes and work towards a broader peace agreement.
00:32They built on a June framework that outlines the settlement of Hezbollah, a phased Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon and
00:40the deployment of the Lebanese army.
00:42However, Hezbollah has rejected the negotiations, saying they would bring nothing but shame, humiliation and successive compromises for Lebanon.
00:51Israel and Hezbollah have been at war since March after the group fired rockets into northern Israel following US-Israeli
00:58strikes on Iran.
00:59Since then, Israel has occupied nearly one-fifth of Lebanon, while more than 4,000 people have been killed and
