00:00Hair is your greatest accessory and that you should have fun with it.
00:04Even if you get a bad haircut, you can get through it.
00:09Hi, I'm Alice and today I'm getting a diffused shaggy hair look with bangs, but before you
00:15see my transformation, subscribe below.
00:18Other hairstyles I've had in the past include bleach, blonde, ombre, gone wrong, I've done
00:25the ashy gray, you name it, I've probably done it.
00:28And I've most likely done it to myself, so it's looked terrible.
00:32The last time I got my hair done, I think it was last year around this time, it was in
00:39the summer and I just got like a chop and then this just grew out from that.
00:43Alexa Chung has always been a big hair inspo for me.
00:47The look I want is just something that will look more effortless, better air dried, it's
00:52feeling so heavy, it's one layer right now, it's super bland and I think this will just
00:56be a fun, light, airy look.
01:06Hi everyone, I'm Adira Abregel, welcome to Hair Factory LA.
01:10I have been a hair stylist for almost 30 years and I think what I've learned throughout the
01:18history of doing hair is that you have to find each individual's individuality.
01:24So make sure that you explore yourself, make sure you get a lot of different haircuts because
01:29you don't know what you're going to find out about yourself and that's the beauty of hair.
01:33You have a beautiful wave that we don't even see and so I want it to come to life, I
01:38want
01:38to create this beautiful movement and you're going to look gorgeous, okay?
01:42Alright.
01:43Let's do this baby.
01:45So now we're going to start with Alice's hair, it's dry right?
01:48So we're going to take it and separate it into three different sections.
01:54Now that we created the right perimeter and the right length, you're going to take the
01:58hair and you're going to create some layers that have some movement and you want to make
02:04sure that you go around the front and create bangs that are almost wrapping around your face.
02:10You throw your hair up, you have all of these beautiful layers.
02:17I'm really kind of hoping for that 70s shaggy vibe.
02:22I feel like this new haircut will affect my mood, it'll get me more excited to just wake
02:28up and have a different look.
02:32The diffuse shaggy hair is something that has been iconic during the 70s and a lot of the
02:38time during that period, people used to cut their own hair.
02:42And so that's why it was highly layered.
02:45I knew immediately when I met Alice and I saw her texture that her hair was going to fly
02:52and explode with all of this beautiful natural texture.
02:56It's about freedom.
02:57It's about not caring.
02:59It's about living in the moment and letting your hair do what it wants to do.
03:03The way I style my hair and the effort I put into it, I feel like it kind of reflects
03:08what
03:08I'm feeling.
03:09So it's just another extension of me.
03:13I used a few different products by Virju.
03:16The first one that I used is the Unfrizz Cream and I loved mixing that with the Healing
03:21Oil.
03:22You want to make sure that you use it almost like hand cream and always start in the back
03:26and then move to the front.
03:28And then the final product that I ended up using is a Moisture Defining Whip, which is
03:32all about celebrating your natural texture.
03:42Okay, keep your eyes closed and open your eyes.
03:46Okay.
03:47Oh.
03:47My.
03:49God.
03:50I didn't know my heart could do this.
03:52Yeah.
03:52And the best, babe.
03:53The best.
04:06You can kind of just take your hair, throw it up into like a simple chignon like that.
04:11So sexy on you.
04:14You're welcome, baby.
04:15I love it.
04:15I love you.
04:16I love you.
04:17I love you.
04:20I am so obsessed with my new hair.
04:24I feel like it's 70s, hair queen, cool girl dreams achieved.
04:29Like it's been so hidden under all those long layers.
04:33I can't wait to drive home, put my windows down, put some music on, shake my hair, feel
04:38how light and breezy it is.
04:39Working with Alice was awesome.
04:41I know that she was a little bit nervous that it was going to look a little bit more like
04:45a mullet.
04:45I understood that she shouldn't have straight across thing.
04:50I wanted it to feel more of a modern shag and we achieved it and she looked absolutely
04:55gorgeous.
04:56This look definitely boosted my confidence.
04:59Heat wave who?
05:01Alexa Chung who?
05:02Scoot over.
05:04Scoochie, scoochie.
05:05There's a new 70s girl in town and she's feeling good.
