00:00Thank you, Disha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. I hope you guys had a great weekend.
00:05Now, let me tell you what happened today. Due to low-level troughs interacting with the ITCZ,
00:12the Met Office issued an adverse weather alert at 1.30 this morning, which was later discontinued at 11.07
00:20a.m.
00:21This unsettled weather caused thunderstorms that mainly affected Tobago and northern and eastern Trinidad,
00:28though other areas also experienced these conditions.
00:32Moving on now to what we can expect tonight.
00:34Tonight will be cloudy but settled at first and will give way to a few showers after midnight
00:40with minimum temperatures of 25 degrees in Trinidad and 26 in Tobago.
00:46And tomorrow will begin a bit gloomy with cloudy conditions with intermittent showers during the morning
00:52that will gradually give way to sunny, hazy and breezy conditions by early afternoon.
00:58There's a medium chance of heavy showers occurring in some areas.
01:02Remember, heavy showers can bring gusty winds, street and flash flooding.
01:07Now, for the middle of the week, you can look out for more cloudy periods with intermittent showers.
01:13Towers sun times now.
01:14In Trinidad, sunrise is at 5.49 and 5.44 in Tobago.
01:18And sunset at 6.32 in Trinidad and 6.30 in Tobago.
01:23And for all the boaters and sea bathers, here's what you need to know.
01:27Seas will be moderate with waves 2 meters to 2.5 meters in open waters and below 1 meter in
01:34sheltered areas.
01:35So if you're heading offshore, expect moderately rough seas, which may make boating uncomfortable
01:41and potentially hazard for smaller vessels.
01:44But if you're staying in sheltered waters, expect relatively calm conditions.
01:49It's now time for your Thai Times.
02:00In some international news, El Nino conditions have developed in the tropical Pacific and scientists
02:06expect El Nino to strengthen rapidly over the coming months and potentially become one
02:12of the strongest on record, possibly surpassing past events dating back to 1950.
02:18If it reaches this super El Nino level, it could significantly influence weather patterns
02:24worldwide, increasing the likelihood of heat waves, droughts, heavy rainfall, and other extreme
02:30weather events.
02:32Well, that's all for weather tonight, Sachin.
02:34I did not appreciate you rubbing in my face at Brazil Lost.
02:37I had to take a break from the World Cup, so what's the update on Portugal versus Spain?
