00:05So every time I hit a ball, every single week it's gone further.
00:11With just a year of competitive golf behind her, Rihanna Hills will travel to America this month.
00:16With her dad as caddy, she'll play at an invitation-only championship event for kids aged 5 to 12.

00:30The eight-year-old is one of many young girls taking female representation in golf well above par.

00:52and if they don't give them the opportunities to play on the course and open the course up for them,
00:55they won't have a golf club in 20 or 30 years.
00:58For now, the biggest battle for this school-aged star is practising under a setting sun and avoiding distractions.
