00:01We understand police recently received a new piece of information which finally unlocked
00:06this case more than four years after the disappearance of 46-year-old Chad Bishop here in Logan.
00:12Yesterday police searched the backyard of this home behind me and located human remains they
00:18believe belong to Mr Bishop, although a formal identification of the remains is yet to come.
00:24Now 52-year-old Courtney Williams and 45-year-old Carly Mordew have now been charged with murder.
00:32In court documents seen by the ABC it's also alleged that the pair improperly interfered
00:38by moving a dead body sometime around March 2nd 2022. Today police described how they were able to
00:46retrieve the remains from the backyard which they said was quite a cluttered space and it was indeed
00:51quite an involved process. Let's take a listen to what police had to say earlier today.
00:56Look the backyard's a bit of a mess. There is a pool in the backyard and like you mentioned there

01:01a cubby house. Police moved that cubby house in order to access a particular part of the yard
01:11which is where they subsequently found the box. The case was briefly mentioned in the Brisbane
01:17Magistrates Court today and no pleas have been entered. The matter will be back in court next month.
