00:00The vessel, Timeless, won the 60-mile class at the 2026 Trinidad and Tobago Great Race.
00:06It was a first time for the boat at a prestigious event, which made owner and throttleman Gilson Smith a
00:12proud man.
00:13Competition was stiff because there were a lot of other boats in the class with way more power than I
00:21had.
00:21And we just persist and fought a tough, tough, tough battle. And we were victorious.
00:32Also on Smith's team was driver Anthony Joseph, who was making his Great Race debut.
00:37And Smith was delighted to have him on board, saying the chemistry was second to none.
00:42He drove like he is a custom driver in Great Race. So it wasn't anything bad or it was real
00:51good.
00:51He knew where to go because he's a seasoned seaman. So he had a strategy, especially crossing the shallows or
01:01the crossing from Grand River.
01:03He knew what to do and we got the job done.
01:08When individuals achieve certain goals, retirement comes to mind for some, whereas others keep on going.
01:15So what are Smith's future plans?
01:18I won a national championship already and now I have a Great Race title under my belt.
01:25And it looked like I could call it quits because I guess I have nothing else to prove or nothing
01:30else to win.
01:32But I love powerboat racing so much that I will still keep it close to me and I might still
01:41race in the future.
01:44But for now, I'm not sure. I'm not sure yet what will happen.
01:49Is Smith going for glory again?
01:52And will he have Joseph as his driver?
01:55Only time will tell what Timeless has in store.
01:58I'll see you in the next video, Chiefs Export.
