00:00Hi, I'm Nico Bordato.
00:01Hi, I'm Emily Tosta.
00:02Hi, I'm Elle Paris-Legaski.
00:04And I'm Brandon Lara Quinkey.
00:05And we are the cast of Party 5.
00:12The amount of representation, diversity, and inclusion that the project has,
00:16not just with the cast, but also with the crew, was a really important part for all of us.
00:21On top of all of that, the complexity of all the characters,
00:26the way they interacted with each other as a family was something that really drew me in as well.
00:30We're portraying characters, you know, that are going through situations in their life,
00:35like the deportation, and, you know, there are things in real life that are happening across the country,
00:40and it's our job as actors to try and educate ourselves as much as possible.
00:44That way we can try and portray these characters as accurately.
00:48They're just reaching out to us and telling us their stories
00:51and telling us how much they like the show and how much that we did that was accurate.
00:58We hope that people take away a message of love and kindness at the end of the day.
01:04Yes, it is a show about immigration and deportation,
01:07but it's also a show about this beautiful family dynamic that we have going on.
01:11And I think it's really important for the audience to understand that at the end of the day,
01:15all you have is your loved ones to rely on in the good times and in the bad times.
01:18And the strength in that unity is something that our show portrays and embodies in such a beautiful way.
01:24It's made me a much more prouder Latino.
01:28I mean, I've always been proud of my heritage, but now it's like I want to go out and scream
01:31for rooftops.
01:32You know, it's the amount of diversity on the show, not just, you know, the cast.
01:36You know, we're all Latino, but we come from different parts of the world.
01:39And also the crew, you know, there are crew members who were from this country, who were not from this
01:43country.
01:44And to see that come to life and to see how we can all collaborate on something together,
01:50it was just very inspiring for me.
01:52It happened so quickly.
01:54Like it was in the, you know, we screen tested and we felt, you know, chemistry and stuff.
01:59And then the pilot, when we were filming that, just bonding over stuff that you do with friends.
02:04Playing board games, talking about this, watching movies and all that.
02:09And it's been truly one amazing ride that's just beginning.
