00:33or TFRs, established over the area. NORAD F-16s intercepted the aircraft and safely escorted
00:43them out of the restricted airspace. There were no reports of injuries, damage, or any direct threat
00:50to the President. In an official statement, NORAD said its F-16s intercepted multiple General Aviation

01:29So why was the airspace restricted? Trump was spending the weekend at his Trump National Golf Club
01:37in Bedminster, where the LIV Golf New York Tournament was also taking place. Temporary flight
01:44restrictions are routinely established when the President is present. They create a protected airspace
01:51around the President's location and are enforced by NORAD. Pilots are required to check notices to airmen,
01:59known as NOTAMs, before flying. There was also another aircraft that triggered an alert
02:06later in the day as Trump prepared to leave Bedminster. According to reports, that aircraft re-established
02:14communication and became compliant before NORAD fighters had to intervene. Trump's departure was
02:21reportedly delayed by roughly 13 minutes. Emergency vehicles, law enforcement, and Secret Service personnel
02:29were also seen positioning near the runway around the scheduled departure time.
02:35Meanwhile, video circulating online appeared to show an F-16 closing in on a small, propeller-driven aircraft near Bedminster.
02:45The dramatic footage quickly drew attention, because it showed just how close military aircraft can get
02:52when responding to a restricted airspace violation. But NORAD has not said whether the pilots simply made
03:00a navigational mistake. That determination will be handled by the Federal Aviation Administration.
03:07The White House did not immediately comment on the incident. Importantly, there is no indication that
03:14the aircraft posed a deliberate threat to Trump. NORAD says these kinds of intercepts are a standard
03:21response when aircraft enter protected presidential airspace. The command also reminded pilots that if they are
