00:00Good morning. Yesterday was yet another widely warm day, especially across England and Wales,
00:06with temperatures again into the low 30s. And if anything, as we move our way to the
00:10middle of the week, temperatures will actually continue to actually climb, another heat wave
00:13possibly actually building. And the reason for this is this area of high pressure which is
00:17building in from the west. By the time we actually get to Wednesday, it's likely to start drawing in
00:22air from the continent, so turning increasingly hot and humid, not only by day, but also by night.
00:29But bringing everything back to this morning, we do have a fair amount of cloud across parts
00:33of England and Wales. This is gradually sinking south, and it will be thick enough to produce
00:37a little bit of light rain and drizzle, chiefly across the moors and maybe the Kentish Downs
00:42for a time, but most places will actually stay dry. And with a good deal of August sunshine on offer,
00:48it's a fairly warm day, especially across England and Wales with highs of 27 or 28 degrees for some
00:54of us. Slightly chillier further north with highs of 19 or 20 degrees.
01:00Now it remains dry and settled as we move our way into the overnight period. And with clear skies,
01:05certainly across the south, we will have a few mist and fog patches forming by by dawn.
01:11But across parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland, a fair amount of cloud. And it's across this part of
01:17the universe where we'll actually see temperatures dip into the high single digits. So a bit chilly in
01:22some rural spots, but certainly across the south, a fairly mild night to come with overnight lows of
01:2715 or 16 degrees across some of the major towns and cities. So that's a bright start for many on
01:33Tuesday morning, certainly across England and Wales. Still a fair amount of cloud across parts of the
01:38north and Scotland. But during the course of the morning, this cloud will tend to actually lift. So
01:42skies tend to actually brighten up as we move our way through into the afternoon. But you guessed it is
01:48yet another warm day, certainly across the south with highs of 28 or 29 degrees. And if anything,
01:55these temperatures across the north will actually also start to actually climb. And that pretty much
02:00sets the scene for the rest of the week, with high pressure dominating and temperatures peaking
02:06Wednesday and Thursday, perhaps reaching into the mid-30s. So we may well see some weather warnings issued
02:13with some impacts to the vulnerable and elderly and infrastructure. So stay tuned to the forecast. Bye for now.
