Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi reaffirmed the country's commitment to its non-nuclear principles as Hiroshima marked the 81st anniversary of the U.S. atomic bombing, with about 50,000 people from 123 countries and regions observing a moment of silence at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.
