00:00So I'm going to place this right over the face. I'm going to have you lift your head up for
00:03me
00:04and relax, and there's going to be a bright light, okay?
00:13Hey, it's Carly, and today I am heading to Higher Dose to try out the Lymphatic Drainage Facial.
00:18I've been traveling a lot and not sleeping well, and my skin is feeling the struggles.
00:23We're breaking out. It's dry. It's puffy. It's not good. So I'm really hoping that this facial
00:27can help relieve some of those issues I've been experiencing. We'll find out if it's worth the
00:32time, money, and hopefully there's no pain, but I honestly don't know. So let's go.
00:40I prepared for this facial first by looking into it a bit more. I've tried a Lymphatic Drainage
00:45massage, but never a facial, and so I just wanted to see what results, benefits I would get out of
00:51it.
00:51I also just took a hard look at my skin and how rough it's been looking lately, and so I'm
00:58hoping
00:58when I look in the mirror after this, it'll be much healthier. I'm really excited to try this.
01:03I honestly think I might fall asleep during the facial, but we'll see. So let's go.
01:09My name is Michaela. I am the creator of our Get Lifted Facial here at Higher Dose,
01:14and I'm the lead esthetician and trainer. I'm preparing our enzyme mask, and these are all the
01:19modalities that I use to really encourage lymphatic drainage, and then our higher dose
01:24red LED mask. Our Get Lifted Facial features red light technology and lymphatic drainage.
01:31So I've heard of lymphatic drainage massages for the body, but never really for the face,
01:37so what's the benefit? Sure. So it's very similar how we treat the body, but we're really focusing
01:43on the lip notes that are from the neck up. It's really great for acne because we're moving
01:47those toxins out of the skin, puffiness, and it's really great for all skin types. It also helps
01:53to strengthen your immune system. It works really well with your sinuses, so if you're coming down
01:59from a cold, this could really speed up the healing process because your lymph nodes really hold on to
02:04the viruses and, again, all the toxins, so you really want to get that out of your body.
02:09And so in results, your skin just looks really nice and lifted healthy, brings back a really nice,
02:16healthy glow. Most of my clients, I would say, come in like every two to six weeks. I have a
02:23lot
02:24of clients who have immune disorders that kind of need a lot of help getting that lymph out of their
02:29system, and then I have a lot of clients that just want to do it for like a really nice
02:32big event.
02:33And how much does this facial cost? Our facial is 225. It's 60 minutes, and then you get 30 minutes
02:39of our infrared sauna time after. So when you leave today, your skin's going to look amazing,
02:44but I always tell my clients, your results really peak on day three. And that's, again,
02:49your body's still in that detox mode. You're drinking lots of water. You're getting enough sleep.
02:54You're hopefully avoiding any alcohol, processed sugars within the next three days. And that really
02:59also depends on how long the results last. All right. So are you all set? Yes. Perfect. Let's get
03:06started. Okay. Have you begin by taking three deep breaths in for me?
03:22So a lymphatic drainage, very simply put, is getting rid of any waste that our cells may produce.
03:29So this facial really focuses on draining the lip notes from your neck up. And when we do that,
03:37we're getting rid of any excess fluids in the skin. So you're really left with kind of a natural
03:44facelift. And the skin is left really hydrated, plumped, giving a natural glow. And then it's
03:51really repairing the skin on a cellular level. So everything that we do here is very natural. So
03:58even if you have breakouts, getting rid of that static lymph really helps with any blockages. And so
04:04throughout the facial, we really use like holistic approaches such as shade rolling, facial cupping,
04:11manual lymphatic drainage, and gua sha to really encourage the flow of your lip notes.
04:16So I am going to go in with our LED mask now. So I'm going to place this right over
04:22the face. I'm
04:23going to have you lift your head up for me. And relax. And there's going to be a bright light.
04:27Okay.
04:32So hydration is really key. You really want to be hydrated, of course, before you come in, but it's
04:39really important to hydrate a lot afterwards because again, we're working with your drainage system. And
04:46that hydration to really help flush everything out of your system.
05:00I feel amazing. I never want to leave. This is the best I've ever looked. I feel so relaxed after
05:14that.
05:14That was the most amazing hour of my life. I feel like my face maybe looks a little bit more
05:21sculpted
05:22and healthier and I don't know, all the things. It was so nice. I love the cupping thing. I want
05:29to buy
05:29one for myself. I am going to have to drink a lot of water over the next few hours, days,
05:35and I'm not
05:35really good at that, but I want to maintain results and have healthy, luscious, sculpted skin. So we
05:43will drink water. I did doze off a bit with the red mask. It was just very peaceful and relaxing.
05:50To be honest, I feel like I could doze off again. I am feeling very zen.
06:05It has been a few hours since my lymphatic drainage facial. My face feels so good. It feels just like
06:12very sculpted, plump, healthy. I like took a shower just now and I got out and I was like,
06:19damn, that skin looks good. It was also such a relaxing facial. I definitely fell asleep briefly.
06:26Hopefully that, I don't know. Hopefully I wasn't snoring on camera. I definitely see like the benefits
06:33of, you know, using like cupping on your face and gua sha and just giving yourself, you know,
06:39like a really good lymphatic drainage facial. You don't even have to go get an expensive one like
06:45this. You can do a lot of it at home as long as you know the right techniques, which I
06:50did not
06:51beforehand, but I think I kind of got the hang of it now. So at the end of the day,
06:55you can achieve
06:55the results many different ways, but I will say I would definitely like to do this one again just
07:01because it was so relaxing. And, um, and no, I just loved how like glowy my face felt afterwards.
07:08You know, it's kind of nice to like let someone else take the wheel and you just like pass out.
07:12So
07:13I think I would do it again. Yeah. I'd recommend it to a friend that wanted to splurge for sure.
07:23I don't know. That was, that was just really nice. I feel like everyone gets body massages,
07:28but we never really massage our face. Um, and so now I want to incorporate that into my routine.
07:34I do, however, really need to be here.
