00:09Last month I got to see what it would be like to live like a celebrity for the day
00:13and I actually went to Joanna Vargas' spa in New York and tried her body peel.
00:19While I was there, I discovered that she has a new facial called the Super Noah Facial
00:23that she's been giving to all the celebs this year.
00:27Everyone from Betty Gilpin to Greta Gerwig to Jake Gyllenhaal to Mandy Moore.
00:33So I was like, can I please get a facial too?
00:37And I did. I recorded the entire process because it was very, very cool.
00:42Literally.

00:49I headed over to Joanna's spa again. It's on 5th Avenue in New York.
00:54And I laid down in her super comfy bed.
00:58Super Noah Facial, let's go!
01:01So step one, I am going to do some exfoliation.
01:07So she uses a machine that has a bit of a tube on the end that very gently exfoliates your
01:12skin.
01:12It uses suction to lift dead skin cells away while also penetrating the skin with a serum.
01:18This is so much more gentle and instead of a dry exfoliation, this is really making the skin hydrated from
01:28the start.
01:29She did that all over my face and then she cleansed.
01:31So she used her vitamin C cleanser to really get all the gunk out of my pores.
01:34And she removed it with a really relaxing hot towel before moving on to facial massage.
01:40Face massage is something that's very traditional.
01:44Not only does it relax the client, it actually exfoliates further and it assists in lymphatic drainage.
01:52So after Joanna removed the oils from my face with a hot towel, she took out a dry sheet mask,
01:58which she cut a little nose slit into.
02:00Put the sheet mask onto my face. Bye!
02:03And then she doused the dry sheet mask with a mixture of medical grade collagen and peptides.
02:08This is the type of collagen that's used in hospitals in Europe because it's so helpful in stimulating collagen production
02:18in your own skin.
02:20I go over the lips and everything because obviously you have fine lines there around the mouth.
02:28The lips also get super dehydrated.
02:30Same thing with the eye area.
02:32So after laying down the first mask, she actually followed up with another mask.
02:37I am going to cover your face with a bit of gauze.
02:43This is a molding mask.
02:47So this mask is going to go on your face wet and it's going to dry into sort of a
02:53rubbery consistency.
02:55The purpose of this layer is really to make sure that the collagen mask underneath stays completely active the entire
03:06time it's on your skin.
03:07This mask holds in hydration in the skin and pushes it back into the dermis.
03:14So this is going to stay on the face for about 20 minutes.
03:19You can actually feel it and it feels kind of like silly putty in a way.
03:23Now we can bounce things off of your face.
03:27Now we are going to take off your mask and unveil your dewy glowy skin.
03:38That was so cool.
03:40It was really cooling.
03:42Yeah.
03:42It felt really good.
03:44So after the collagen facial, Joanna moved on to a microcurrent device, which she glided all over my face, especially
03:50into the contours of my face.
03:52And basically what microcurrent devices do is send microcurrents through your skin, causing your muscles to kind of tighten and
03:59contract.
03:59And the effect is supposed to firm up your face.
04:02Have you ever had a client come in on the day of the event with something like a huge zit
04:09on their forehead?
04:10Yeah.
04:11One Oscars I had that.
04:12Really?
04:12I basically put my exfoliating mask on the one breakout at the beginning of the facial.
04:20So I left it on there for over an hour.
04:24It has clay in it.
04:25So it sucked out some of the bacteria and toxins and it flattened it enough so it could be covered.
04:32Then was cryotherapy, which honestly was the part that I was most excited for.
04:37People are always scared when they hear that I'm going to do cryo on their face.
04:41But it actually feels good, doesn't it?
04:43Yeah, it feels like an ice cube.
04:44This machine is really cool because it's pushing the cold deep into the dermis.
04:50It increases your circulation.
04:52Therefore, it oxygenates the skin.
04:54Does it work kind of similarly to cryotherapy where because it's so cold, it's forcing a lot of blood to
05:00that area?
05:01Absolutely.
05:02Joanna made a really good point that when you use ice cubes in your face, it does cause a lot
05:05of redness and the cryotherapy device doesn't at all.
05:08So in terms of this facial, which she developed for her clients to do the day of a really big
05:13event, it's perfect because there's no downtime.
05:16You are glowing, girl.
05:18I feel already less buffy.
05:20The final step of Joanna's facial is the oxygen treatment.
05:24It is a device that is 98% oxygen and she just kind of dusts it all over your face
05:30and it's supposed to really make your skin look super glowy.
05:33So once the oxygen treatment was done, Joanna just put a bunch of skincare on my face.
05:37So she started with her daily serum.
05:39This is the green juice for the skin serum.
05:42It smells like a creamsicle.
05:46This one is just my daily hydrating cream.
05:49It is great to lock in all the moisture that we put into your skin.
05:53My skin feels so smooth.
05:57You're dewy and ready to face the world.
06:00So all in all, I really enjoyed the facial.
06:01It made my skin feel super smooth.
06:03I think that makeup actually did apply pretty nicely over it.
06:07The facial itself costs just shy of $400.
06:10I do think it's a really amazing facial to get before an event.
06:14So if you're going for a wedding or you have a really big party, obviously if you're a celebrity and
06:18you are going to walk the red carpet, it might be a good facial for you.
06:21Joanna has a ton of celebrity clients and I kind of feel like I kind of walked among them today.
