00:25and I saw a few girls with blue hair.
00:28I thought it was a good idea.
00:29I'm so excited to do my daughter's hair today.
00:31I know it's gonna turn out beautiful
00:33and I know she's gonna be very happy.
00:36And since my salon's been closed for three weeks,
00:39I haven't done hair, so I'm so excited today.

00:52Taking a really, really fine session,
00:55very fine highlights.
00:56When her hair grows out,
00:58it's gonna grow out really nicely without looking straight.

01:23And when I do the oil line, I'm very, very careful.
01:26I don't want the bleach coming out from the foil.
01:30So I always apply just a little bit away from the scalp
01:34and move my way up close to the scalp.
01:39I really like my hair right now,
01:41but I think it's good to experiment
01:43and it'll give me something to do during quarantine.
01:46I really just want to change it up right now.
01:50I know you guys get very bored during this quarantine,
01:54but changing the hair color can be very tricky.
01:56If your hair is blonde or pre-lighted,
01:59you can easily get semi-permanent color,
02:03and you can do that at home.
02:05But I wouldn't recommend going from dark to light,
02:08but you can go from light to darker.
02:11Now I'm gonna start tipping at the ends
02:15by taking little section, little by little.
02:19So I'm going to tease.
02:21By doing this, this is gonna give you
02:24the dark to light effect without getting it striping.
02:29And I make sure this line is not completely horizontal
02:32to avoid that harsh line.
02:36I feel really lucky that I have my mom with me
02:39during quarantine.

02:41and she offered to do this for me.

03:25and hydrates the hair.
03:27And it's perfect for after the highlights.

03:34And we are gonna condition her hair.
03:36I'm gonna use this Yuluka mask.
03:39It's really hydrating.
03:42I'm gonna let this sit for a while
03:45and comb out her hair,
03:46and we are gonna do the toner.
03:48The blue that Maika picked,
03:51It's called sea glass color.

03:58When you do these funky color,
04:00usually it goes on the dry hair.
04:02And I'm gonna apply right on the pre-lightened hair.
04:06Make sure it's so nice and saturated.
04:08I don't wanna get to the other color,
04:10so I'm just gonna put this in the foil.
04:16I'm gonna let this sit for 10 minutes.
04:18Then I'm gonna mix my toner
04:20and then apply with her hair.
04:22I'm going to mix two different colors.
04:25I'm gonna do darker color on her roots area.
04:28I'm gonna mix 3M and 6M.
04:31And it's gonna make the hair nice and shiny.
04:34And also I'm gonna make the color for her ends.
04:37This is gonna be a little bit lighter
04:39and also a little bit of violet.
04:43This is gonna cut off the yellow
04:45and gives her beautiful color.
04:48Give it a nice shake.
04:50Gloss can tone down the hair, makes the hair darker.
04:53If your hair's a little orangey
04:55or a little yellow or a little brassy,
04:57this can help you cut down the brassiness.
05:00And usually gloss doesn't have any ammonia,
05:03so it doesn't damage the hair.
05:06And usually it lasts for two, six weeks.
05:08Now I'm going to apply lighter color.
05:12By doing so, when the hair grows out,
05:15the regrowth will be more forgiving
05:18and less pronounced.
05:20And you set your time up for 10 minutes
05:22and you jump in the shower
05:24and shampoo and condition your hair.
05:26So this is something you can do
05:28while you're pointing at your home
05:30very easily and safely.
05:32This is not gonna interfere with you doing highlights.
05:39Since my salon's been closed,
05:42my concern was my client's roots gray.
05:45Cause a lot of clients coming every two weeks,
05:48they do not want to see the roots.
05:51I came up with this idea,
05:53which is custom hair color kit.
05:54So I will pre-mix and pre-measure the color.
05:58And then I've been sending it out to clients home.
06:01They can feel good about themselves.
06:03And I've been walking through them with a face sign.
06:07So that's been really fun process as well.
06:10One of the best treatment after the highlight,
06:14it's this by this company called Number Three.
06:18Comes with four little packet like this.
06:23And you're gonna use the whole thing.
06:30Okay, so I'm gonna start styling her hair.
06:33I'm gonna give her a nice, loose beachy weight.
06:36Not a lot of people are gonna see it
06:39because of quarantine obviously,
06:40but I really like that it's lighter.
06:43I think it's really pretty for the spring and the summer.
06:47I'm really excited to show my friends.
06:50I'm gonna show my friend Saffron
06:52because she also has a streak of blue.
06:54It's not the exact same,
06:55but I thought it'd be cool to show her.
