00:00Nearly four weeks after the double earthquakes that struck Venezuela, restoration efforts continue.
00:06In Mare Abajo, La Guaira, authorities oversee the work to ensure that families can return safely to their homes.
00:12Our correspondent, Belén de los Santos, brings us the details.
00:17Hello, studios. I'm coming to you from La Guaira.
00:19In this case, we are from Mare Abajo, and particularly behind me are the Mare 1 and 234,
00:27the different towers that make up this urbanism in Mare Abajo.
00:32These are one of the buildings that have been affected and classified as yellow after the twin earthquakes of June
00:4024th.
00:41And what we have been seeing here is that the work of the Venezuela Rises, again, the Venezuela Renace plan,
00:49are already underway.
00:50Actually, just moments ago, these buildings in particular received the visit of the Venezuela Rises Again plan,
00:59Yagelin Farias, and also Governor Tehran from La Guaira, who were here visiting the reconstruction projects.
01:07These towers have all been inspected.
01:10They have been classified as yellow.
01:11That means that they have had damage to their structures, but not damage that compromises the entire building.
01:19That means, in this case, that they can be repaired, and the work are already underway,
01:24particularly in the Tower 1, where the workers are already at job right now.
01:31And they have an estimate of up to 15 days, maybe a little bit more,
01:37in order to complete reparations and for the families to be able to stay there safely.
01:43That is the project part of the Venezuela Rises Again project that is underway and will continue in all the
01:50buildings.
01:51The ones that have been classified as red then go to another process.
01:55They have to be further analyzed to see if they can undergo reparations
02:00or if they have to go to another stage and be demolished in order to find another permanent solution.
02:07That is what we're seeing right now in this stage of recovery in La Guaira and in Venezuela as a
02:14whole.
02:14That is part of the plan.
02:17Venezuela renace in Spanish.
02:19Venezuela renace in Spanish, and that is what is happening when we are a couple of days for marking four
02:24weeks after the double earthquake.
02:27That is all for now.
02:28I go back to you.
