Watch as one determined dad's race at his son's school sports day comes to a painful but hilarious end after an unexpected trip sends him flying.

The video shows parents taking part in a relay race during the afternoon sports day event.
Everything appears to be going smoothly until one father catches his foot in a hole in the field. He is launched forward, landing face-first on the grass despite throwing his arms out in an attempt to break the fall.
After grazing his face and letting out a frustrated exclamation, the determined dad quickly gets back to his feet. Rather than giving up, he carries on and finishes the race to the cheers of those watching.
The funny footage was shared online and had left viewers laughing. Melissa said: "My husband takes part in the parent rally in the afternoon for our sons sports day. Everything was going fine until he tripped over a hole in the field and went flying across the grass as well as grazing his face at the same time."
