Victoria’s tobacco wars are heating up again. Richmond smoke shops have been the target of arsonists, and a suspected extortion attempt for the second time in a few weeks. This attack brought traffic to a halt and nearby business owners say they are terrified it is only a matter of time before someone is killed.

01:31a tobacco store in Mentone.
01:34No arrests have been made in this latest attack, but police say the car used in this ram raid was
01:39stolen from an address in the Boroondara area last week.
01:42On top of those leads and with one of the main orchestrators of this conflict here in Melbourne behind bars
01:48overseas, exactly who is ordering this latest wave of attacks will be a key question for investigators.
