Fred Mendonca raised funds for St Helier Hospital by abseiling from its roof two years after his heart attack. He is urging others not to ignore possible symptoms.

00:00A man who survived a heart attack after mistaking the symptoms for indigestion
00:05has returned to the hospital where he was treated to abseil from its roof.
00:09Fred Mendonca, a 62-year-old man from Sutton in South London,
00:14raised funds for St Helier Hospital with a 125-foot descent on the 18th of June,
00:20two years after his attack.
00:22While taking on the challenge, he abseiled the equivalent height of the Statue of Liberty
00:27and urged others not to delay seeking medical help if symptoms appear for them.
00:33He also praised hospital staff who supported his recovery,
00:37calling them a phenomenal team and highly professional and efficient.
00:41He says early action saved his life.
