00:33Canadian Nicole Andrews-Sission is on vacation at the resort next door,
00:37capturing several videos of the dramatic incident.
00:40A helicopter did come and started scooping water out of the ocean
00:45and was dropping it onto the fire.
00:48And it took a long time, it felt like, to get it sort of contained.
00:53NBC News reached out to Viva Dominicus Beach by Wyndham
00:56and was connected to a reservation department representative
00:59who confirmed a fire on the property broke out around 11 a.m. today.

01:16I mean, George, the images are so dramatic.
01:19Is the fire still burning at this hour?
01:22Yeah, Allison, fire seems to have been contained.
01:25Nicole, who you heard from there, told us
01:26that it does seem that the worst of it is over.
01:28She's not seeing much of the smoke, obviously.
01:31Still some questions remain.
01:32And also lingering questions tonight about any fatalities or injuries.
