00:01The lifting it up was a big elephant.
00:03We used this for a lot of different things.
00:05So this is a helipad at the highest level.
00:09It can land any helicopter in the world, no matter how big, no matter how powerful, no
00:14matter how strong.
00:16I was explaining for the construction people, I was explaining how when the new big Sikorskis
00:23landed, the grass was completely wiped out.
00:27Yeah, come on over here, fellas.
00:30The grass was ... Fellas, come on over here, come on.
00:35And I just want to say they've done a fantastic job.
00:38So if you look at ... If you take a look from the media standpoint, you look at the lettering
00:43and you look at the joints, they're like flawless.
00:46The exact ... A very ... It's like one-tenth of an inch.
00:50And it's the exact same size.
00:52The guys are ... These are real artists.
00:55Where's Brett?
00:56Here.
00:59I don't want to give him too much credit, and I don't want a lot of people using him, so
01:03I'm not going to even mention his name.
01:04I'll just say his name is Brett, because I don't want other people, because we've got a
01:08lot of work to do, and I want you to stay here.
01:10I'm not looking for you to go to other jobs, okay?
01:13But the job he's done, he's an artist, Brett Rugo.
01:16He's an artist.
01:17And when you see in the middle, they're doing the Eagle, the Eagle of the United States of
01:23America.
01:23That's what's in the process, and I guess that's what I'm signing right here.
01:27That's the name.
01:27So they're doing ... This is the head of the Eagle.
01:31And that'll be flipped over, and it'll be ... It'll be amazing.
01:36Oh, sir.
01:37I have a runway for you.
01:38Oh, good.
01:39Right there.
01:39Well, there it is.
01:40Was this set?
01:40Yes, sir.
01:41Oh, that's great.
01:42Yeah.
01:42Wow.
01:43This is going to look incredible from the air and from every place.
01:47And again, this is going to be used for a lot of different celebrations, a lot of different
01:52big meetings where, as an example, President Xi is coming in a little while, a couple of weeks.
01:58And we didn't plan to have this done, but it's gone so well.
02:01I delayed them a week with the lift, but that's okay.
02:04That was a good delay.
02:05That was a very good delay.
02:07But President Xi is coming.
02:09Other heads of state will come, and we can do this all outside.
02:13Nice weather like today.
02:15And this was not a scheduled press conference, but I thought it was so ... It's so good what
02:20we're doing, people should see, because the White House was in terrible condition.
02:25Some of these men worked on the facade of the White House, along with the Department
02:29of Interior.
02:30Doug Burgum has been fantastic.
02:32But they worked on the facade of the White House.
02:35And if you look at it now, if you would have looked at it six, seven months ago, you
02:39would have been embarrassed.
02:40If you looked at it, like I do.
02:42I look at it, everything.
02:43You know, I'm a real estate ... I'm a real good developer.
02:46And frankly, I used to ... It used to make me sick to look at how horrible the condition
02:52was, where the stone was broken.
02:54The columns had big chips in them, a foot long.
02:58And it was terrible.
03:00And now it's perfect.
03:01It's perfection.
03:02And I think you can see that pretty much right even from this distance.
03:05You can see it.
03:06We made life much more comfortable for the people upstairs, too.
03:10Equipment is all modern, and the top of the line, you know who I'm talking about.
03:14So it's great.
03:15But this was very exciting.
03:18And interestingly, I received zero criticism, which is shocking, because I'm used to criticism.
03:25But then after we open, I always get praise.
03:28A lot of times I get criticism, and then when they see the final product, they say,
03:32that was great.
03:33This will be the greatest military complex slash ballroom anywhere in the world.
03:38There won't be anything like it.
03:39You know, when I was in China, they have the great room.
03:42They have a room that's phenomenal.
03:45And I'm not going to get into arguments with anybody.
03:49But this beats everything.
03:51There's nothing like this anywhere in the world.
03:53And they've wanted the ballroom aspect of it for 150 years.
03:58They've wanted the military aspect.
04:00I would say it started about 75 years ago.
04:02And you can't go under this building because it's fragile, but you can go under new construction.
04:10That's when the generals came to see me.
04:11And the military has been incredible.
04:13And we hated to have to reveal some of the things that we reveal.
04:17But I said to this fake national trust, it's a fake deal.
04:21But I said to them, if you sue, they're going to learn things about that building that, frankly,
04:27they shouldn't know.
04:28But they sued anyway because they don't give a damn about the country.
04:32And that's going to be one of the greatest structures.
04:34They were saying there's more rebar in that building than in the stadium that I think you guys are already
04:40building.
04:40Is that right?
04:41There's an extreme amount of rebar.
04:43More than we would need a lot of things.
04:46Well, it's for strength.
04:47It's not too much.
04:48Yes, sir.
04:49It can take about anything in terms of the power and the strength.
04:53I was explaining about the stone outside.
04:5625,000 to 35,000 pounds per square inch.
04:59And there's no concrete, no matter what.
05:01Concrete, you get a really powerful concrete.
05:04It's just a tiny fraction of that in terms of strength.
05:07So this is the real deal.
05:08They finally have to heliport.
05:10I guess it started about 50 years ago.
05:12They've been trying to get a heliport built.
05:15And I said, we got to do it.
05:17That's what I do good.
05:18That's what you guys do well.
05:20Jared is the head of Clark, and he has done a fantastic job.
05:23You people are fantastic.
05:27So we're ahead of schedule on this.
05:29We're ahead of schedule on that.
05:30And we're ahead of schedule on just fixing the building.
05:34The building is unbelievable what's taking place in a short period of time.
05:40This building was falling apart.
05:42It's falling apart.
05:43Like buying a building in New York City that's in bad shape and putting it back together.
05:47That's what I used to do.
05:48I did it better than anybody, I think.
05:51But that's what I did.
05:52You see the palm court.
05:53That was done by Jackie O.
05:55And it has tiles, one by one tiles.
05:57They were very old, but not that old.
06:00They were like 20 years old.
06:01They weren't all the way back.
06:02She put a better floor, but it broke.
06:04And we put in the finest marble that you can get.
06:09It's called Statuario.
06:11It's beautiful.
06:12The white with the black in its book batch.
06:15And everybody walks into that room, they say, wow, that's something.
06:18That's some difference, right, Steve, between what you had there.
06:21You had one by one tiles from a box.
06:23You buy it from any store.
06:25And they flipped them in and they were all broken.
06:27And even in my first term, I noticed, I said, you know,
06:31it's embarrassing when people come through that room and then go to the Oval Office.
06:35But we also fix the Oval Office.
06:37The Oval Office was in very bad shape, so, in many ways.
06:40So, thank you all for being here.
06:42So, I'm going to be signing this.
06:44Where do you want me to sign it?
06:45Over there?
06:46You tell me what to do.
06:48Okay.
06:50Good.
06:55Wow.
06:57So, this is the back piece.
07:00This won't be revealed.
07:01This is the back of the eagle's head.
07:05This is the eagle exact of the, uh, you look how fine, how fine that's cut.
07:11When you see it, you won't even believe it.
07:12And from the air, it looks so beautiful.
07:15But this is the back of the piece.
07:17And they flip it and they put it down.
07:19So, nobody will see that.
07:20Unless in 400, 500 years, they start taking it apart.
07:25So, probably nobody will see it, I guess.
07:28Actually, I hope nobody ever sees it.
07:30Because there's only one reason to see it.
07:32But, uh, I think I'd like to sign it.
07:35And I'd like to have some of the main construction guys like yourselves and some of your tough guys sign
07:41it.
07:41You can sign this whole piece.
07:43Then we're going to put the coins.
07:46These are special coins we had.
07:48And we're going to put coins along with it.
07:51And we may put a couple facing up in some area where you have concrete that's wet.
07:56I don't know if you have any of those areas.
07:57I'm not sure that you can do that.
07:58I have some right there.
07:58But you could put one of these into the concrete facing up.
08:02So, people see.
08:03That's not good.
08:04Because you're not going to find nice ones.
08:05So, they're going to take some of these coins, which are somewhat different.
08:09These are coins that, like I gave to the young man who, the lifeguard, who saved the young boy.
08:17Because he was truly a hero.
08:20And these will go like that.
08:22These are three different coins, all different.
08:25Like that.
08:28And like that.
08:30They're going to be flipped.
08:32But I think they're so beautiful that if we find a place on this whole big pad, we could put
08:36a few of them facing upward.
08:37Right?
08:37That would be pretty cool.
08:39Right?
08:40Okay.
08:41I'm going to ask some of my people to sign this also.
08:45I know I'm supposed to sign it.
08:46But they've done such a good job.
08:48It's such an exciting project.
08:50You know, it's a no-story building.
08:53But it's as exciting as if you're building a building.
08:56And again, they've wanted this for many, many years.
08:58The happiest people of the pilots, as great as they are.
09:02They say it's great not to be landing on wood or on a piece of steel that they put out
09:06for 10 minutes.
09:07They literally put it out and then take it away.
09:10Assuming that it was very heavy.
09:12And they take it away.
09:13They don't have to do that anymore.
09:15Okay.
09:17I hope this is a good one.
09:18This better be a good one.
09:19Even though, in theory, I don't think, I don't know if anyone's ever going to see it again.
09:24That's a beautiful cut.
09:26Hey, baby, we should reverse it.
09:28Let it stay up.
09:30I like it better than one or the other.
09:32It's hand perp.
09:33That's pretty great, huh?
09:46Oh, that's good.
09:49That looks pretty good.
09:51I think we should use this side.
09:53We're using the wrong side.
09:54We're flipping it.
09:55What do you think?
09:56Is that good?
09:58I'll tell you what.
09:59That's good.
10:00Come on, Brett.
