00:00As the DRC battles one of its fastest-growing Ebola outbreaks,
00:05hostility in local communities is making the response even harder,
00:09say health workers, with WHO ambulances repeatedly coming under attack.
00:16Yesterday, one of our ambulance was attacked here,
00:19you know, one of the ambulance of the response operation was attacked here,
00:23you know, in Punia, and we are really quite extremely,
00:26very regularly challenged by this situation, by this attack on health care services.
00:33The Ebola outbreak has now claimed more than 2,300 lives,
00:38making it the deadliest outbreak of the disease ever recorded in the country.
00:45Almost on a daily basis, you know, we face some kind of reaction, you know, from the communities.
00:50And again, these are a difficult situation.
00:53People are having their relatives who are sick, who are dying.
00:57Health workers say community engagement remains a major challenge,
01:02with residents needing to recognise Ebola symptoms and know what to do if they become sick.
