00:00If you're someone that loves pretty things, then look away now, because this one isn't for you.
00:04Welcome back to Worn Weird, my monthly series where I talk about the freakiest and funkiest shoes on the internet
00:09and runways.
00:10This week, I'm discussing, or rather penning an ode to the five-toe sandal.
00:14Some people lie awake at night thinking about money, work or relationships.
00:17I think about these shoes. They're just that good.
00:20Made by Australian brand Curtsy. I first saw these on Instagram six to eight months ago.
00:24But as the summer's gone on, I've seen them doing the rounds online,
00:26as well as being on the feet of a lot of cool girls and freaky footwear affascinados.
00:30Of course, these aren't your average sandals.
00:32Coming with an extra wide footbed, a narrow wedge sculptural heel,
00:36and the piece de pedi resistance, a leather thong strapped between each and every toe.
00:40These shoes are simply so attention-seeking in their originality, divisive in their design.
00:45They're a style for fashion girls and fashion girls alone.
00:47Of course, this five-toe style isn't anything new.
00:50If you're a fan of the Vibram Five Finger that's been trending for some time,
00:53or even the Margeo Tabby, which has a very iconic camel toe-like split
00:56between the toe and other four digits, you're definitely going to be a fan of these.
01:00They're kind of like the sandal equivalent.
01:01They come in flats as well as a wedge and several different colours.
01:04And if you're after a high-heel silhouette, Geoffrey Campbell has a stiletto version too.
01:08It goes without saying that these shoes aren't for everyone.
01:11They'll divide your WhatsApp groups just as easily as they divide your toes.
01:14If you want to hear more about why I love them or shop them for yourselves,
01:17head to the link and buy it.
