00:00Hi Marie Claire, I'm Anna Villafania, and we are going backstage at Sinatra the Musical where I play Ava Gardner
00:06on the West End.
00:08My home!
00:09I spend a lot of time in my dressing room backstage, so it is full of things that keep me
00:14grounded, creative, and connected, of course, to the character and to the show.
00:18Then I take off all my personal accessories and jewelry, including this stunning Belova Sinatra collection watch, which was a
00:26gift from Tina Sinatra herself.
00:27Then it's on to the face. Ava was known for flawless skin, so I start with the e.l.f.
00:32Poreless Putty Primer.
00:34I use Chanel Foundation and Fenty Concealer.
00:38Gotta frame the face. Anastasia Brow Bar, I love you.
00:42Gucci bronzer.
00:43Smells so good.
00:44You have to define those cheekbones for the back of the house. I mean, this woman was famous for her
00:49bone structure, so.
00:50The eyes are a soft kind of glam, very old Hollywood, accentuating the corners.
00:57Liquid eyeliner making a comeback for the waterline, and we clean it up again with Fenty Concealer.
01:03I love that in the U.K. we do warm-ups as a company before the show.
01:08Ooh, cutie girl!
01:10This silver dress might be my favorite. It's based on what she actually wore to her premiere of Show Boat
01:15in 1956.
01:17The famous Ava Gardner wave.
01:19This is my dresser, Emily. I really don't know what I'd do without her. I mean, dressers are the unsung
01:24heroes of the theater industry.
01:25A princess!
01:28My entrance in the green dress is Musical Theater Dreams. I put on a ton of my Ava scent. This
01:34is how I open act two.
01:35I absolutely love this look.
01:38How do you think of the wedding dress?
01:40This is the last change of the show when I get to put lip back on because I no longer
01:45have to kiss Frank Sinatra.
01:47And we go out and sing Ring-a-Ding-Ding, do our curtain call, like our bows, and then we
01:54go into New York Ava.
01:55Thank you so much for getting ready with me, and now let's finish the show.
