00:00We're going to go through the first seven days with our latest rescue puppy.
00:03We have a goal of taking her off the lead by day seven and hopefully not losing her.
00:08Sheila is the bravest rescue we've ever had.
00:13She was a bit cautious at the start, but it didn't take her long at all to start coming out
00:16her shell.
00:21All the dogs were super excited to have her here,
00:23but it didn't take long before Moki, our doberman, started to push the boundaries a little too much.
00:39We don't mind the dogs doing this because they're all just trying to figure out what they can and can't
00:44get away with.
00:44So Moki being Moki, tries her luck again.
00:48She's telling her off really young.
00:49Yeah, she is.
00:53It's alright, she's telling Moki off for pouring her, yeah.
00:55But this didn't scare Sheila or put her off.
00:58She just carried on as normal, which is so good to see.
01:01And the testing didn't stop there because our other rescue pup, Rusa, then tries to mount her.
01:06Rusa, Rusa no, Rusa no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
01:09So we're coming to the end of day one.
01:11In day two, you'll see the dogs figuring out where they stand in the pecking order.
01:15We had Sheila and Rusa in crates next to each other.
01:18Sheila was messing around in her crate and making a whole bunch of noise,
01:21and Rusa had something to say about it.
01:30In day two, all the dogs started to play with each other a bit more,
01:34but you could tell they were still figuring out who was top dog.
01:43Our oldest of the pack, Kobe the Golden Retriever, was definitely letting everyone know.
01:51Nicely, Mokey, nicely.
01:53Good girl.
01:58Nicely, Mokey, nicely.
02:00Sheila, come on.
02:01Come on, Sheila.
02:02Good girl, nicely, Mokey.
02:04Good girl.
02:06You tell them, Kobe.
02:07We found a tickle spot for Sheila, which was absolutely adorable,
02:10and we're about to take her on her first ever walk.
02:13We gave her breakfast about an hour before the walk, but she didn't really touch it.
02:17She probably felt quite nervous in this new environment.
02:24It was our first time walking, Sheila, so we didn't really know what to expect.
02:28She didn't have much confidence on the lead just yet,
02:30so taking her off the lead by day seven would definitely require quite a bit of training.
02:37Come on.
02:47Having Kobe and Mokey there off the lead was important to show Sheila that everything was okay.
02:51Come on, then.
02:52Come on.
02:53Come on.
02:54Come on.
02:55Good girl, Mokey.
02:57Sheila.
02:59All right.
03:00You want me to take it in?
03:01Yes.
03:02Good girl.
03:03And before we knew it, her confidence grew in literally the space of about five minutes,
03:08and she could enjoy the walk with all the dogs.
03:10Mokey, come.
03:13Good girl.
03:15She wants to get involved, look.
03:24You're going to help pick that up, Sheila?
03:26Her first walk went so well.
03:28We're now going to go home, and this is where Sheila and Rusa really bonded for the first time.
03:37And then it was time for bed.
03:39Sheila actually went into Rusa's crate and didn't mind sharing, which was so cute.
03:43She was also chewing on Ella's bra, Sheila.
03:46That's not a toy, is it?
03:49Come on.
03:50Give me your foster mum's bra.
03:52Sheila.
03:54Sheila.
03:55Good girl.
03:55No, no, no, no, no.
03:56Good girl.
03:57In day three, it was time to wash both our rescue pups.
04:00Sheila came to us after spending three days in the back of her truck and absolutely stank.
04:05Rusa also likes to roll in all types of nasty stuff, so a wash was well needed.
04:10We ran the shower first for the both of them so they could get used to the noise.
04:15And then it was time to put the both of them in.
04:18Honestly, had no idea what to expect.
04:20Would they freak out?
04:21Would they try and bite me?
04:22I tried to just go with their body language.
04:24I put water on the both of them, and to my surprise, they seemed completely fine.
04:29After their groom, they're going to meet up with Kirby and Moki again, so enjoy this montage of their shower.
04:35Good night.
05:10Good night.
05:12Good night.
05:37And then of course after their shower, it's mandatory that your dogs go absolutely nuts.
05:48We got in some training with Sheila.
05:50She's a really smart girl.
05:52Down.
05:53Yes.
05:54Good girl.
05:55So I'll call her first and you call her.
05:57Sheila come.
05:58Sheila come.
05:59Good girl.
06:00Sheila.
06:01You're holding on to her.
06:02Sheila.
06:03Yes.
06:04Sheila come.
06:06Come.
06:07Yes.
06:08Good girl.
06:09Sheila.
06:11Yes.
06:12Good girl.
06:13On day four, we actually added another temporary member to our pack.
06:17A tiny Chihuahua called Bailey.
06:20No, he's not bothered, is he?
06:22Look at how her hair grows.
06:24And we still have an unplanned visit with a band breed, a trip to town, and of course, letting Sheila
06:29off the lead for the first time.
06:36It was a little tense at the start, but after some getting used to, they were all fine together, and
06:41we thought it would be nice to take all five dogs on a walk.
06:44I can't believe we now have five dogs here.
06:47Come on, dogs.
06:49Come on.
06:51Bailey's the leader.
06:53Moki, come.
06:57This was really good for Sheila to feel safe with her whole pack now.
07:01We also wanted her to get used to being around people and not needing to say hello to everyone.
07:09After the walk, all the dogs had a sleep, and bearing in mind we're only on day four, Sheila really
07:13started to come out.
07:14She's got her shell already.
07:19By the way, I'm so sorry for these weird noises I'm making.
07:23It just gave her the zoomies.
07:26Oh, Sheila.
07:32We kept playing around with Sheila's teeth and ears, just so she would get used to when a vet would
07:37eventually check her out.
07:38She really didn't enjoy this, so we made sure to do this every day.
07:42Good girl.
07:45Good girl.
07:46Sheila is only a baby, and she still needed to have lots of naps during the day.
07:50She slept with the dogs, which was cute, and also found the weirdest spot.
07:54After her naps, she would literally be bouncing off the walls, and then got completely taken out by Rooster.
08:00I'm sorry, but this is hilarious.
08:09The dogs were getting ready for bed, but we had one last little play with them, hiding under the blanket.
08:15Sheila didn't really understand, bless her.
08:20A lot happened in day five, but before that, having nervous fosters in our house means we want them to
08:26feel as safe and secure as possible.
08:29Mr. Fluffy Friend have kindly sent us the world's number one anxiety-relieving dog bed.

09:16Now back into the video.
09:17Day 5 was a big one, so if you didn't know, XL bullies have recently been banned in the UK.
09:23We were getting some work done in our garden and I thought it was a perfect opportunity to expose Sheila
09:28to loud noises.
09:29But what we didn't know is the owner of the gardening company had a dog in the van.
09:33He said she's friendly, so I said bring her in to have a little play around.
09:37She comes in and she's this massive XL bully.
09:40And I'll just let you see how this all played out.
09:44She's a lot.
09:44Shh, go be shh.
09:48Hi Sheila.
09:50Four actually, there's so many different dogs.
09:52Go be shh, Sheila.
09:58There's probably so many different dogs here.
10:00There you go.
10:03She can't be down.
10:06It's a lot.
10:07Because there's four dogs, she's coming into the...
10:08Her name is Lady and she's two years old.
10:11Lady probably felt pretty overwhelmed when she first came in because there's so many dogs checking her out.
10:16But she's the friendliest thing I've ever met.
10:18She dealt with all the dogs so well.
10:21Lady.
10:23Hello.
10:24Hello.
10:26Hello, lady.
10:29There you go.
10:30Both Sheila and Rusa were so good with her.
10:33They've come a long way from being those scared rescues.
10:35What do you guys think of breeds getting banned?
10:37I personally think that's all on the owner.
10:40You can find a horror story in the news about any breed, even a Golden Retriever.
10:44Breeds such as XL Bullies, Dobermans, and to be honest, even Sheila have got so much energy
10:50and they need to be stimulated and socialized properly.
10:53These breeds get into the wrong hands and it looks bad on the breed, but really, it's the owner's fault.
11:03Lady and Moki started playing and it got Sheila all excited.
11:17Every dog was having a sniff of Lady and Sheila even tries to jump on her.
11:21Great work, Sheila.
11:22Kobe and Moki showed Lady how they play and then it was time for her to go.
11:27Sheila then had her first ever vet visit.
11:30It was just a general check-up, but we also wanted to get her used to being in the vet
11:34and making sure it was a positive experience for her.
11:36Oh, she's very cute.
11:41She likes the treats.
11:53When we got home, we noticed that Sheila and Moki were really starting to bond.
11:58Moki's only one and a half, but she took on the motherly figure.
12:01She definitely noticed how young Sheila is and it even got to a stage where Moki was pretty
12:06much letting Sheila do whatever she wanted to her.
12:08I don't know.
12:50Sheela would literally be non-stop biting Moki, but she just refused to correct her.
12:55I thought I'd just leave them to sort it out.
12:57I'm sure Moki will eventually let her know how annoying she finds her.
13:00She slowly drops her head to sleep.
13:04Tell her off Mokes.
13:08Correct her.
13:10She just bit her nipple.
13:12Look at her mouth.
13:16Day 6 was nice and simple.
13:18We took Sheela to town to get her used to being in crowds, being near lots of cars, and also
13:23to take her into a shop for the first time.
13:26We brought Kobe along because he's the most calm and collected.
13:29Will be the perfect role model for Sheela to follow.
13:36Does she want some makeup?
13:39She was so confident so we thought let's push her a little bit and show her an escalator.
13:46Good girl, well done.
13:48See look, Kobe's on it.
13:51Good girl.
13:55Well done, there you go, look.
13:57Good girl.
14:02Of course they both got lots of pets and we even managed to stop off in one more store.
14:07Sheela was a pro at this point and super chilled out.
14:09Thanks Kobe.
14:10We got back and all the dogs went crazy.
14:12I'll just let you watch and enjoy all four dogs playing.
14:40They rested and now it's finally on to day 7.
14:43We walk all the dogs together and we're actually going to let both Sheela and Roosa off the lead.
14:50They ran off straight away and I thought here we go.
14:53Don't worry, it was an open field and I used to run track so I knew I could get them.
14:57But we did their first recall and this happened.
15:00Good girls.
15:02Good girls.
15:03Yeah.
15:05Sheila.
15:06Sheila.
15:08Sheila.
15:10They were doing really well.
15:12They generally stayed with the pack until Sheila spotted a bird and literally ran off into the distance.
15:25We thought she was gone but luckily she came back.
15:27Mission kind of completed.
15:29I think it's back on the lead for her.
