00:00Because I happen to think that we got a very underrated situation here.
00:04Landon Root is a guy that all his underlying metrics, Craig, tell us that he's a better
00:11pitcher than what he has shown.
00:13He's got 123 innings pitched.
00:16He's over 50% ground ball rate.
00:20He's only allowed nine home runs and 23 starts.
00:23But here's the kicker.
00:24He's another guy that walks everybody.
00:27But he doesn't give up hard contact.
00:29And he's another one of these chandlers.
00:32If he doesn't walk, guys, where are the runs coming from?
00:36And Kyle Freeland is the weirdest pitcher I've ever seen.
00:39He's better at Colorado than he is on the road for some reason.
00:43I can't understand that.
00:45How is that even possible?
00:47Yeah, you know what?
00:49Kyle Freeland is on an interesting list right now, Joe.
00:54I believe that there are, and I don't have all the numbers, but I believe there are five
00:59pitchers that are currently in Major League Baseball that have pitched 1,000 innings with
01:05their current team.
01:07Five pitchers in Major League Baseball with 1,000.
01:10And that's it in all of Major League Baseball.
01:12Because Sandy Alcantara is one of those, because we were looking that up the other day with the
01:17Marlins.
01:17But Kyle Freeland is on that list.
01:19He's pitched over 1,000 innings with the Rockies, so as crazy and as unfortunate his
01:24career has been, he's actually been somebody that somehow, through the years, not every
01:31year, but through the years, has been able to somewhat pitch, not masterful, but average
01:38at Coors Field.
01:39So he's one of those two.
01:41By the way, Webb on San Francisco is another one of those that's pitched 1,000 with his
01:45team, Zach Wheeler with Philadelphia.
01:47But that's it.
01:48Just a handful of guys right now in baseball.
01:52Freeland's an anomaly.
01:53He's got nearly an eight ERA on the road and a five ERA at Coors.
01:59Don't ask me.
02:00I have no idea.
02:01You take it.
02:02Five is good.
02:04That's what I'm saying.
02:05He is a guy that pitches to a lot of contact.
02:08But listen, he is a lefty, though.
02:11So that'll usually the matchups matter here.
02:13And the Giants, worst since the All-Star break against left-handed pitching.
02:19And I don't anticipate a whole lot of runs here.
02:22I think you can get it still seven and a half, maybe eight.
02:25And you're not getting that.
02:27Who are we kidding?
02:28There is not going to be a lot of runs in that game here tonight.
02:31Good night.
