00:00The Midwest, kind of the fringe of the area around the Ohio Valley, still facing some thunderstorms.
00:05We're dealing with historic flooding, and this semi-truck almost ended up on its side after getting stuck in floodwaters
00:11in Indiana.
00:13If you can't see the road surface, you don't really know where it is sometimes.
00:16That's muddy water.
00:18Rivers running way too high.
00:20Take a look at this.
00:20The White River in Anderson, Indiana.
00:23It broke its record.
00:24We talked about this last evening as we were getting deep up into a major stage, and we were expecting
00:30to see a record broken, and we sure did.
00:33The old record was 23.6 feet, and we hit 24.82, so we beat the old record by more
00:42than a foot.
00:43Now it's still deep into major flooding, so homes are still being affected by this, and we're going to see
00:49a gradual decrease in the river levels.
00:51But it's been a big problem there.
00:52Man, what a mess.
00:53So through this evening, there are going to be some strong and severe storms.
00:56We're going to be tracking these this evening in parts of eastern and northeastern Kansas, across Iowa, into western Illinois.
01:03That Field of Dreams game was great, wasn't that, last night there, if you're a baseball fan?
01:08The storm stayed away to the south.
01:10It worked out really, really well in eastern Iowa.
01:13But flooding rainfall will be returning to this area here tonight and into the day Saturday across much of the
01:19upper Midwest.
01:19At least the storm track is buckled north and pulled out of some of the areas that have seen the
01:25worst of it.
01:25Now there will still be some showers and storms into eastern Indiana on Saturday.
01:29Unfortunately, some of these could also be severe.
01:31So it only temporarily nudges north, and it comes back down into this area tomorrow.
01:36So we're going to see more showers and storms.
01:38Some of these will be severe once again, and that's certainly a concern as the storms are going to be
01:42rumbling.
01:43Sunday, more storms into the Ohio Valley.
01:45The flood risk is going to be lower than it was, but still present.
01:48Flash flooding is still a concern, and damaging wind will also be an issue as well.
01:52And then we're going to get a little break Monday and into Tuesday in eastern Indiana.
01:56So we'll look forward to that.
