00:00:45what's going on everyone welcome in t-bob baby here we got eddie
00:00:49nicky steven che and as i said making his wub debut i got joy choice what's up man thank you
00:00:56for
00:00:57having me this is incredible so uh did you know that you were going to be on tv when you
00:01:01came in
00:01:01this morning no i had a couple energy drinks i was going to make myself work uh go into the
00:01:06gym and
00:01:06work out hell yeah maybe five minutes ago i got invited this is the best i love this company so
00:01:13much we got ron deutsch on tv yeah with on on three minutes notice unbelievable carson was like i think
00:01:19deutsch is going to work out should we ask him to come to the show i was like oh hell
00:01:22yeah dude ronnie
00:01:23deutsch uh how would you describe yourself to the people that are just brand new to you
00:01:29uh i'd say i'm fairly easygoing i don't really take anything too seriously
00:01:34uh i just like to have a good time and you're our resident beer chugger yes
00:01:38yeah yep yep top one percent hakeem olajuwon fan in the world i'd say so yes i think he's the
00:01:45best
00:01:46of all time did you kiss one of our young male co-workers i did get tricked into uh releasing
00:01:55that
00:01:55information yes look i didn't what let he who has not kissed one of their young male co-workers throw
00:02:01the first stone what what young male co-worker i don't i don't re i don't sante oh okay he's
00:02:09an
00:02:09attractive guy well everything was getting aired out all the office relationships yeah and then white
00:02:15boy rick white boy rick was like deutsch are you gonna say anything about me and you kissing and i
00:02:19was
00:02:19like we can't like we kissed i was like i knew i i kind of remember i kissed sante so
00:02:25you kissed
00:02:26multiple no rick was just trying to oh he walked you into a trap oh yeah he was doing ricky
00:02:31bits right was it a drunken kiss or was it just out of joy or i think i think montoya
00:02:37just said
00:02:38she'd get us a shot if we kissed on the lips oh okay it's cool we're at halibut yeah man
00:02:42sometimes you just gotta kiss your boys for a shot it's ron deutsch that plays um well thank you
00:02:50for joining the show today it's gonna be a lot of fun uh lmvp races heating up pca you'll see
00:02:57the
00:02:57shirt on our guy right there now the odds on favorite to win in lmvp eddie should he be favored
00:03:03over otania this moment definitely i think last week collectively uh was the best week of the cubs
00:03:09season uh which is crazy to say because they have had two 10 game winning streets but they swept the
00:03:14dodgers statement statement series built on the foundation built on the foundation of a couple of
00:03:22statement games unfortunately it's a che bloodbath all right eddie continue they also had a an insane
00:03:29makeup game on thursday uh against the blue jays where they were dead as a doornail for eight
00:03:33innings they came back and won in extras and then they won a series over the weekend against the royals
00:03:38uh pca in the thick in the middle of it all so yeah i think so i think he should
00:03:43be the favorite right
00:03:44now so it's definitely like he's got i think think about i think for shohei there's maybe a little
00:03:51bit of mvp fatigue also he's not pitching now he's hurt so all those elements play pca has all the
00:03:58numbers like if you're a war guy even though war's under attack this week it seems like but if you're
00:04:03a war guy uh he's got a uh 8.0 war otani's 6 5 no other play in the mlb
00:04:08has more than 5.6 so he's
00:04:11smashing there he's uh easily the best defender in baseball he's saved the most runs um he leads
00:04:18the league in outs above average uh he's third in ops he's got 30 stolen so he's got all the
00:04:24numbers
00:04:24but then also like look at the flow of those games last week right i think about the game against
00:04:30scoble where he comes up man on second two outs he gets the hit to send him home he steals
00:04:35second
00:04:35then he manages to find his way home or the walk-off where he steals third they in extras they
00:04:40they missed the ball then he managed to get home he's just he's got kind of the swagger to him
00:04:45he's got the numbers if he could finish he should absolutely be the nl mvp yeah i mean like you
00:04:51just
00:04:51said and i don't know why war is under attack like i know it's not the end all be all
00:04:55but uh he should
00:04:56not be penalized for being an elite center fielder yeah like i understand a lot of the balls go to
00:05:01center field that's just the nature of the game but still his jump how fast he gets to places where
00:05:06nobody can get is a factor of why he should be the mvp too yeah and again if you look
00:05:10at the number
00:05:11and it's it's kind of tough to talk like baseball numbers on a show like this because you start to
00:05:14feel like you're just like rambling but i guess all anybody needs to understand is that he's not just
00:05:20winning in these categories he's like really distancing himself from the second base player
00:05:26he will be platinum glove winner uh by the end of this year i think it should be important to
00:05:31note
00:05:31and big cat made this point on twitter is that last year in right field kyle tucker was the right
00:05:36fielder seya suzuki is not a good outfielder by any means fielding wise and pca and center field has
00:05:44made seya a good enough fielder ian haff is a gold glover in left field but like pca has made
00:05:50the entire
00:05:50defense better it's not like he's just in one area he's covering a lot of a lot of areas i
00:05:55didn't like
00:05:55that graphic was because it was very i mean that that's an eric cosmo graphic it was very biased
00:06:00towards showing it didn't have any stats winning uh for pca pca is on a historical pace to be like
00:06:07top five of the last like 15 years uh or maybe maybe the century for war this is interesting
00:06:13because i yeah i see this graphic though and i don't find it to i don't think that looks bad
00:06:19for
00:06:19pca i think that shows that he's hitting i mean that he's worse in every category if not tied well
00:06:24yeah exactly but i mean he's basically tied with the best hitter in baseball but he's also the best
00:06:27defender in baseball the best hitter in baseball is a very good pitcher but he's not pitching not
00:06:31even but i guess you have to understand i guess you have to understand the context like you're
00:06:34saying more than just walks all the time he won the game by himself yeah his walk rate's been really
00:06:41strong yeah i read that dude it was 4.5 last week last year now it's up to 12 he's
00:06:46nearly tripled it
00:06:47this season like he's so dialed like i think a lot of his struggles uh because he he didn't start
00:06:51the year particularly well no like four to six weeks he was not great he didn't end the year
00:06:56well he was hitting like seventh in the playoff playoffs last year i think a lot of it for pca
00:07:02is just getting settled in between the years you know like i think he puts a lot on himself he's
00:07:07a
00:07:07very emotional guy so i think now that he's settled in a lot of things have clicked for him how
00:07:12has uh
00:07:12our guy white socks dave been handling this uh he has walked back everything he said really
00:07:17because he's in a group chat with you guys and he texted every time pca makes an error uh me
00:07:21and
00:07:22chuck naso and him two white socks fans and myself that's just that's just white socks playbook they
00:07:26they were uh they relished they reveled i don't know which is the right word there and uh schwarber
00:07:32struggles in the out anyone who's any cubs player who is like hype and people like that they just
00:07:37they like when they fail that's it uh so he's got the patience at the plate also the thing to
00:07:42highlight
00:07:42with him is just what he's done against lefties uh was it a a 594 ops against lefties last year
00:07:49now
00:07:49945 nearly doubled that better than he is against righties actually i want to say one more thing on
00:07:53the way out the game against uh the blue jays the makeup game he bregman hits the home run i
00:07:59outside
00:07:59of that pca wins the game by himself he gets on base yeah to get the tying run you know
00:08:03bregman hits
00:08:03the home run but then in extra innings he has a hit to bring carson kelly home unfortunately you
00:08:09know we were out of um guys that could pinch it if we were going to have a catcher carson
00:08:13kelly is
00:08:13one of the slowest guys yeah he was thrown out at home he was laboring and then gets terrible gets
00:08:18home on the wall i forgot he got thrown out at home so yeah he he had one he had
00:08:22the game yes uh he's
00:08:24on fire right now he's got to finish the fight there's still a lot of baseball seven weeks left to
00:08:28play but pca right now your odds on favor to be nl mvp mvp
00:08:37tap and y'all welcome back to wake up bars there it is guys every day the countdown continues to
00:08:42football being back and there's an interesting new ruling i'm coming out of the nfl yesterday
00:08:49where the nfl says now that any coach on the sidelines can throw the red flag it does not have
00:08:58to be the head coach in order to challenge a play and so it kind of begs the question do
00:09:03you think
00:09:03there's a situation out there where one of these head coaches would trust a subordinate to have
00:09:09that power i mean they trust them to call their plays uh yeah in a lot of cases it's fair
00:09:15um yeah
00:09:16i wouldn't this is going to lead this is just entertainment for us if it leads to controversy
00:09:21i don't think this is a bad thing at all yeah i think if you don't have a guy who
00:09:25is looking after
00:09:26these things i think it's negligent as a coach well so that was kind of my question eddie was like
00:09:31is this that different from what happens now because the head coach isn't throwing that
00:09:34until the booth tells him like hey we should challenge that so that's why i don't see the
00:09:39head coach giving up this responsibility because really like he's not the one saying like oh i think
00:09:45he was inbound he's the one deciding uh like the risk versus reward is it worth it if you don't
00:09:50have
00:09:50a clock timeout challenge guy like speaking to you like you're you're behind the eight ball right
00:09:55you gotta yes you gotta have a clock and analytics guy yes uh when you get into trouble yes they
00:10:01do
00:10:01okay they do i know for a fact they do but yeah i think i think that guy should be
00:10:07the one throwing
00:10:08the flag because i mean it's not we don't really see it in football right now but in baseball like
00:10:14the managers will look to somebody else who's watching it if that's one guy's sole job those
00:10:20things should be out quick so like yeah the bucks of a guy zach beats line who's like his job
00:10:24is to
00:10:25do the timeouts and the strategy like of timing he should be the one that has the challenge flag
00:10:30that can throw that's what i'm saying you want him to be able to throw it though because right now
00:10:33he has the power to tell the coach i think you should throw it i agree i i think you
00:10:38have that
00:10:38guy that's like hey i i think it should we should challenge it but then i think the head coach
00:10:43like that that's where the buck has to stop what are we three seconds ahead then
00:10:47that guy throws instead of the head coach who cares that matters the quarterbacks are hurrying
00:10:52up generally i get it but like i don't know i still think the head coach should be the guy
00:10:58who's has the solo shot that we're watching to see if they're going to throw it or not i don't
00:11:02want
00:11:02yeah it's a bummer we're losing that yeah jeff fisher fighting his big jacket
00:11:10yeah yeah yeah like these are the guys these guys had this ready to go challenge right you
00:11:17you guys didn't even tell me we had a highlight package i can't believe we're losing this
00:11:21we're not losing this coaches are not going to give up this you don't think so i can't i can't
00:11:25fathom dude like the nfl head coaches have as much if not more star power than almost any position
00:11:32outside of like quarterback running back and like wide receiver yeah that's yeah you know that's
00:11:36definitely true i'm going to make a prediction right now if this uh this does go through if we
00:11:42see head coaches uh uh relegate this power to other coaches that maybe are not as well known
00:11:50in the next before the year 2030 we're going to see a fan sneak onto the field and coach is
00:11:55tired
00:11:55and throw a red flag that's a safe bet mark it down your calendars uh we have until 2030
00:12:03before the chase hypothetical to uh we'll have a telestrator for you you're already counting down
00:12:08to the next world cup che of course uh what if big dom got to throw the flag that would
00:12:13actually be
00:12:14kind of cool that that might be one of the few guys that that would be allowed uh he's going
00:12:19to be
00:12:19the first head coach to pass the buck on being see that's the problem because they're gonna be like
00:12:23oh well he threw it and like but like i don't that's a red flag in itself like this guy
00:12:27can't
00:12:28even throw his red flag yeah exactly it's like yeah like let's we don't have a head coach that is
00:12:35responsible for the challenge yeah it's not that's a bad look it's it's literally yeah throw the flag
00:12:40but that's yeah i look why are we eliminating that it seems unnecessary or missing something that could
00:12:46be another another potential out where coaches you know the first thing before they get fired and
00:12:50are officially on the hot seat is like oh i'm giving up play calling to someone else yeah first
00:12:55one could be i'm giving up the challenge flag to somebody else that might be like a three game
00:12:59losing streak kind of thing yeah man genie's rolling in his grave you know the people he would
00:13:03have blamed for on this for like he would have been he misses out he was born at the wrong
00:13:06time
00:13:07uh speaking of red flags mike florio went on pmt yesterday he was asked about joe burrow and he made
00:13:14headlines where he's basically asked look is is burrow's future in cincinnati
00:13:19and florio answered tbd i would say this guys i actually you'll you'll start where where where
00:13:28do you land with this is there somewhere that do you want joe burrow out of cincinnati i'd like to
00:13:32hear from the number one joe burrow hater on the show i'm not the number one joe burrow hater on
00:13:36the
00:13:36show um america no i just wish i could watch him play football because he's good at it but i
00:13:41haven't
00:13:41had that opportunity um in a long time but i you didn't say everything florio said no i did not
00:13:48you said he could end up he said he thinks it went up in pittsburgh oh okay yeah that was
00:13:52okay yes
00:13:52so wait i i heard that with baker that was with baker oh my god so we haven't no no
00:13:58we're gonna get
00:13:58there though we are gonna get there but yeah he chay do you want burrow to remain in cincinnati or
00:14:06do
00:14:06i think he's fine and says i like that he went to college with jamar chase and they have that
00:14:10kind
00:14:10of relationship so i think that's good i think everyone will always be high on the bangles in
00:14:17the preseason with a healthy joe burrow in front of them he just needs to stay healthy the bangles
00:14:24need to invest more in their offensive line this has been a story for for years he's like a pretty
00:14:29guy with cartier shades he does not want to be in cincinnati his vibes are yeah now that's his hometown
00:14:36like you know it's his hometown team everything else he's kind of the hometown hero brought him
00:14:39to super bowl against all odds but yes his vibes not match cincinnati that said i would like to state
00:14:45for the record that i'm i'm kind of having this conversation under protest because probably my
00:14:51least favorite thing as a fan is when you you turn on your tv and you see national prognosticators
00:14:59trying to rip yeah your superstar that you're in love with that you hinge all of your hopes and dream
00:15:05on trying to rip them out of there and send them to a big market i think it sucks it's
00:15:09the worst
00:15:10feeling in the world so uh no i think burrow should stay in cincinnati and try to make it work
00:15:15dude
00:15:15maybe tyler shuck to the charges in a couple years no no no i can see that but no i
00:15:20mean i i went through
00:15:21this nobody cares but like yeah with the pelicans for years get anthony davis out of there get anthony
00:15:28davis out of there get him to la get him here get him there it's just the worst feeling man
00:15:32yeah i mean
00:15:32you're i mean you're trying to save that franchise in general kind of right now right what the
00:15:37pelicans yes it's um would you rather have nobody wants to trade for no no no it's uh it's it's
00:15:43it's
00:15:43dark they didn't they didn't sign a single free agent or make a single trade this offseason that's
00:15:48not the point the point is cincinnati i got your back i hope joe burrow stays with you did y
00:15:52'all see
00:15:52joe burrow and olivia after practice yesterday doing a uh a pseudo justin herbert not quite as in love
00:16:00as madison beer and herbert joe burrow and olivia pontin i believe it is the si swimsuit model do
00:16:07we have this picture guys i put in the slack um this was them after practice oh kind of similar
00:16:14kind of similar but obviously not as deeply in love as the newly engaged beer and herbert i mean
00:16:22there's no running the hands of the hair there's a little bit of distance some crisscross applesauce
00:16:27but maybe the beautiful beginnings of something here there's like other families and couples at
00:16:34at these right it's not just it's not just quarterbacks and their supermodel girlfriends
00:16:38yeah yeah uh yeah i think this is nothing i think uh i i just like this in the wake
00:16:45of
00:16:45the justin herbert madison beer image that we get a direct correlation of just a relationship at a
00:16:52different stage i love love yeah what's the standard here this is fine shout out joe burrow
00:16:59and olivia i hope it works out for them i hope works out for burrow and cincinnati
00:17:02now baker mayfield jay uh he's been news florio saying he thinks he could take less money to go to
00:17:09pittsburgh thoughts on that before he get to the next part of the story why why would you want to
00:17:14live in respectfully pittsburgh against florida florida also has no state taxes
00:17:20but like that argument's used all the time why isn't florida why aren't they a super team every
00:17:25year all florida teams they're not right but like this is not a true argument with like the
00:17:32yeah yeah why does any player ever choose to go anywhere else if that's the end all be all in
00:17:36every decision so what what is the argument for him going to pittsburgh what is he's pissed i think
00:17:40it's a revenge fantasy that florio was projecting yeah florio lives in west virginia yeah is close to
00:17:47the pittsburgh dma so yeah that they will likely have a in opening a quarterback after this season
00:17:54with aaron rogers likely departing so yeah certainly that could be a potential destination so could
00:17:59minnesota so could you know and i would rather go to minnesota than pittsburgh with kevin o'connell
00:18:05um so they take the pittsburgh factor out of it do you see baker being willing to take less
00:18:11somewhere else because he feels that slighted by tampa i don't think he would take less like if
00:18:18the the number is being reported roughly two years 100 million dollars i think that's what he was
00:18:23looking for it looks like the years are not aligned if baker has a good year i am fully confident
00:18:29he's
00:18:29going to get more than that and get more than that from tampa if he has a bad year then
00:18:34it's like
00:18:34okay he's strung together two bad years does he take more years with less money at a new place like
00:18:42pittsburgh potentially but then as bucks fans would we be super upset losing a guy who just had two bad
00:18:50years in a row i don't think that would be the case so i think baker has for the record
00:18:55i think baker
00:18:55has a great year he gets paid by the bucks uh and he's there for the long term also the
00:19:02franchise tag
00:19:03is an option if um you know the bucks don't end up with a with a solid pick or able
00:19:07to move up so
00:19:08eddie that's what i was going to ask you i'd be shocked he's not a buck next year you've seen
00:19:11a lot
00:19:11of uh quarterback drama in your lifetime jason light getting out there and and saying just that that
00:19:16look we can't agree to a deal franchise tag is definitely in play do you feel like that's kind
00:19:21of an implied threat to to baker no i i in the end i i do think they figure it
00:19:29out right because there's
00:19:30there is i'm sure he's upset but i'm sure there is an emotional side of baker being like and i
00:19:36know
00:19:36he had that big game with the rams that kind of helped him on his trajectory to you know be
00:19:40reclaimed
00:19:41by uh the buccaneers but i feel like there is some type of feeling uh positive feelings that the bucks
00:19:47were like the team that really gave him the next shot right yeah like i think i think it's like
00:19:51a
00:19:51little messy now but i don't think it's like the end of the world yeah i think this is i
00:19:55think the bucks
00:19:55are baker's last team yeah yeah uh i don't know i don't know we'll see man uh the vibes in
00:20:01tampa
00:20:02really like i don't know so you're you're you're saying that you think good season but
00:20:07he's a good season he will get he will get a long term yeah i know i agree but i'm
00:20:11saying why are we
00:20:12projecting good season for the bucks with the leadership departures vea wanting out baker very
00:20:18publicly speaking on his displeasure uh like what are the elements that you're building your hopes on
00:20:24that the bucks will do better than last year year in which they started hot mvp favorites everything
00:20:29else yeah i mean they started out six and two levante david retired he'd been in the league
00:20:34for i believe 14 seasons so i don't think that's viewed as like uh everything's falling apart
00:20:40certainly the mike evans departure is bad the vita vea stuff i'm confident will get sorted out i don't
00:20:45think that he a guy who's you know pretty much key to the defense is going to be traded before
00:20:50the
00:20:50season starts he's also you know we had greg allman on last week the bucks put up murals in
00:20:56the four corners of the stadium one of them is baker and one of them is vita vea i'd be
00:21:00shocked if
00:21:01one of the guys that's on their mural that was unveiled last week gets traded and the bucks need
00:21:07to look from within too like they didn't make the playoffs correct like you like well that jumps in
00:21:12so why do you think they're going to be better this year sure yeah but the guys stinks guys on
00:21:16the
00:21:16wrong side of 30 like like why would they pay you if you didn't make the play like what are
00:21:20we doing
00:21:20here well and and the other the other part of this too the bucks have a lame duck head coach
00:21:26that's kind of what i think all this boils down to is like there there is certainly uncertainty at
00:21:32head coach and if you look around the league he's you know easily top three coaches on the hot seat
00:21:37potentially number one so do you want to tie up all these long-term deals with a coach you're not
00:21:44sure who's going to be here what if there's a coach next year who wants to run a four three
00:21:48defense and
00:21:48vita vea is a little bit less valuable what if you know the coach next season uh you know wants
00:21:53his
00:21:54certain guy at quarterback that's in the draft like you don't know these things so i think the bucks are
00:21:58doing the best they can with the information they have and i think things will become clearer i think
00:22:03vita vea will be playing for the bucks this year i think you know baker's gonna have a solid season
00:22:07for the bucks and we can reevaluate these things in you know hopefully february so that means they'd keep
00:22:13todd bowles a solid season yeah he's the house on fire meme right now yeah everything's fine you're
00:22:19you're you're you're in purgatory a little bit right now i i was in favor of firing todd bowles
00:22:25after this past season so you know exactly but you want your team here and they do well you know
00:22:30in the
00:22:30playoffs i'm not necessarily necessarily saying super bowl but if they you know make it to the
00:22:35divisional round nfc championship game then certainly todd bowles should be back but um you know
00:22:40if those things don't happen i think there's major questions about how far he can lead this team
00:22:45all right coming up next let's head back to the diamond we got some mlb headlines to get to the
00:22:49dodgers continue to struggle the brewers dominate even with the loss last night and can the cubs
00:22:56catch milwaukee all coming up here on web
00:23:02all right so here's what we're gonna do we're gonna we're gonna rapid fire through a couple mlb topics
00:23:06and we're getting these quarterbacks right here eddie i'll start with you dodgers lost eight of nine
00:23:12swept by the red sox swept by the cubs lose two or three to the d-backs uh no any
00:23:17panic in you
00:23:18for the dodgers eight of ten excuse me they won last night eight of ten
00:23:21no i wouldn't say the dodgers should panic at all the dodgers like they just like just get to the
00:23:27playoffs and then they're fine like okay they have scoobal shohei and uh yamamoto and it's like
00:23:34one of those guys just don't have it let's throw in glass now or blake snell like it's just
00:23:38they're on a different level so i would say no jay what about the brewers brewers uh they lose last
00:23:44night but as as good as anyone in baseball miserowski continues to be unbelievable the odds
00:23:50makers yeah they got the second best odds still a bit of a gap between them and la is there
00:23:55anything
00:23:55that you could see that would make you believe that the brewers should should be a a high have a
00:24:01higher chance of competing with the dodgers come playoff time i think the brewers are the best team
00:24:06in baseball and i say that as a guy who does not like the brewers so i the the dodgers
00:24:12certainly
00:24:13they could put it all together in the postseason kyle tucker unfortunately has been playing well over
00:24:17the past like week or two uh but the the the brewers to me just play the right way they
00:24:25have great
00:24:25pitching they can play small ball if they need they got power jackson chariot four home runs last week
00:24:30like this is a team that is dangerous both defensively and offensively great pitching
00:24:36um playoff experience like i think absolutely they could they could beat the dodgers in the playoffs
00:24:42what about this so everybody like the cubs one of the hottest teams if not the hottest in baseball
00:24:47right now they're five games back of the brewers cubs have a relatively easier august they got the
00:24:55white sox series coming up it's going to be great but then you look at the brewers they got they
00:24:59got
00:24:59padres dodgers braves this august and then in september seven games between the cubs and the
00:25:06brewers do y'all think the cubbies can catch them um i want to sit here with a like sense
00:25:13of bravado
00:25:13and confidence but like we haven't done it yet so there's really no reason for me to believe
00:25:18unfortunately now chase sometimes the old the old school cubby fans here that we have here they can
00:25:24be a bit more reticent to give themselves over to hope whereas sometimes i feel like you can be more
00:25:29optimistic i think the cubs are not as good of a team as the brewers right now and i say
00:25:35that with
00:25:35them being you know red hot and stuff like that can things change in september and october certainly
00:25:41if the pitching gets back but you know right now they're missing their usual closer daniel palencia
00:25:46who's on his way back edward cabrero who's a very good starter you know is out so um until they
00:25:52get
00:25:52fully healthy if they get fully healthy i think absolutely it is a coin flip uh but right now i
00:25:57i don't i don't think the cubs are going to be winning the nl center it's not a shot at
00:26:01the cubs
00:26:01either like i said i think they're coming off their best week of the season yeah just like it's more
00:26:05of
00:26:05a respect to the brewers like at what point is it like they're just really good yeah brewers and
00:26:10raised kind of occupying the same category uh in that regard all right let's flip over to the nfl
00:26:15uh teddy bridgewater has officially hung up the cleats too uh had some good memories with teddy
00:26:25back in the day so i guess that is the question what do you make of teddy bridgewater as a
00:26:30starter
00:26:31in the nfl like if he was the quarterback of your fan base were you happy i think vikings fans
00:26:37had hope
00:26:38yeah certainly first trumpet yeah yeah he finishes oh and two in the playoffs for his career what are
00:26:44you giggling about eddie i'm sorry this is not good tv but this is like a internal fight for years
00:26:50within our crew with white socks dave and chief they argued about teddy bridgewater for literally
00:26:55years this is perfect because we're kind of using as a mendoza line like if you're better than him
00:27:00then you're happy if you're worse than him you got to move on yes like chief is maintains that he's
00:27:04a
00:27:04good quarterback and dave just says he's the worst but he's awful so uh but i probably misphrased that
00:27:10but he did go five and oh when breeze got hurt back in uh 2018 for the saints you probably
00:27:15remember
00:27:15that one jay you probably suffered at the hands of new orleans teddy so in the off season going into
00:27:22the 2020 season so after 2019 jamis winston had a terrible season he was 30 touchdowns 30 picks
00:27:27uh and the bucks were going to move on at quarterback there were two options one of them was teddy
00:27:34bridgewater and i was preparing myself for him to be the bucks quarterback the other option was tom
00:27:39brady tom brady ended up being awesome um and one of the best teams ever but i was prepared for
00:27:46teddy
00:27:46bridgewater and i was i talked myself into being excited about teddy bridgewater because his super
00:27:53power is he doesn't turn the ball over and we just had a guy who threw 30 interceptions but yes
00:27:58he is
00:27:58not by i think any standards a guy that you sign and you're like all right super bowl is our
00:28:04track
00:28:04it's like okay he's our quarterback hopefully our defense can win it for us and he won't lose the
00:28:09game so he is a game manager i'm going to ask about some players that is going to age uh
00:28:13this program
00:28:13but i think it's going to be age appropriate for us we're going to talk hall of fame coming up
00:28:17next
00:28:17because the 27 class looks absolutely insane in terms of how you're going to make decisions there
00:28:23uh but what about the hall of above average if i offer you teddy bridgewater and andy dalton
00:28:28who are you taking i think dalton yeah i watched a lot of andy dalton the red rocket yeah i
00:28:36always
00:28:36kind of believed in him um we're saying who's better who's who belongs in the hall of very average
00:28:42uh who yeah who's who's better who's better in the hall of these guys are all clearly in the hall
00:28:47of above average that we're going to name here so are we saying who's more average or who's better
00:28:51um oh god i guess this is tricky this is this this now now you put me in a bit
00:28:57of a mental pretzel
00:28:57here sorry so i i guess okay let's just go with who's better i'm saying andy andy dalton went oh
00:29:02and i think four in the playoffs i believe bridgewater were no and two andy dalton better uh what about
00:29:09chad pennington or mark bulger mark bulger's my guy god mark bulger was kind of good mark bulger's
00:29:15my guy made a pro bowl mark bulger taking over the greatest show on turf back in the day
00:29:20he put up some pretty good numbers yeah i think i'd lean bulger i love chad pennington if he didn't
00:29:25hurt his shoulder i think he's like a great quarterback he doesn't have super strong arm but
00:29:29he's a great leader super accurate he was the completion percentage check down god i remember
00:29:35him setting all those records back in the day what about mark sanchez or david carr
00:29:41sanchez if you do that with the new york jets you deserve a little bit higher of a nod right
00:29:48he went to an afc championship yeah now what about david carr mark sanchez post-playing career
00:29:53oh oh god mark had a lead for a while there yeah yeah
00:30:02he kind of fell apart on him all right we got some more hall of fame talk coming up next
00:30:06again guys the 27th class here's some of the names adrian peterson gronk richard sherman
00:30:12roethlisberger cam newton andrew whitworth antonio brown gerald mccoy levion bell a lot
00:30:18potentially in this crew we'll get to it next here welcome back to wake up barstool so i want to
00:30:29get
00:30:29into this hall of fame class uh but first wade boggs started to trend on twitter yesterday uh he
00:30:37tweeted out a picture from his account chicken man 30 10 no way yeah that's chicken man 30 10
00:30:46because he's had 3 010 career hits and he loves chicken so he made it the his official wade boggs
00:30:52twitter account it's chicken man 30 10 another great deal he's 67 years old guys this is real this is
00:30:59real 67 years old and it caused me to go into wade boggs hole and i'm glad that deutch is
00:31:04here
00:31:06because deutch have you heard about wade boggs legendary beer record on the plane
00:31:10was it like 50 something beers drank cross-country the claim is 107 beers 107 beers they had a lay
00:31:21it
00:31:21was a cross-country flight with a layover and not all the beers were in the air there were pre
00:31:26-takeoff
00:31:27beers and post-landing beers now you're our best drinker on this show do you believe that wade boggs
00:31:33drank 107 beers no chance you think it's impossible yeah i mean just even i've done stuff back in
00:31:41college and then time goes by and then people naturally want to add to it like i have stories
00:31:47like a fish store oh yeah yeah like there's days i drank maybe 30 40 beers all day drinking in
00:31:54college
00:31:54and now my friends are saying i drank 50 or 60. i think it's just the way guys operate you
00:32:00always
00:32:00want to add it's like a fish story but as did you see him do you want on his bad
00:32:05side yeah he looks
00:32:07pretty badass dude if that's really his body that's incredible and he's fully off the beers if that's
00:32:13currently his body okay okay hold on we have a special guest here we have a special guest here
00:32:18i want to arrest him what is he doing i saw the tweet eddie that he triggered the whole world
00:32:23what is
00:32:23he doing he did a he did a telestrator for the outs debacle from the red sox blue jays game
00:32:32yes
00:32:32he blew that so bad he learned baseball a year and a half ago you want to pretend that he's
00:32:38you want
00:32:39to talk about the fourth out rule time time i know the fourth out rule dude but you here's the
00:32:45thing
00:32:45you i i can already tell what happened you you read one twitter thread that all of america read and
00:32:50then you showed up and you're like i'm an expert i know this is that correct well no to be
00:32:56fair i
00:32:57don't think i i think we all kind of exited more confused than when we went in like i i
00:33:02don't think a
00:33:03lot was solved uh i don't know which camera to look at when i'm doing landscape mode where are you
00:33:08supposed to look uh the other one yeah that one now now now you're straight off i look like a
00:33:14mug
00:33:14shot right now okay i'm uh so so is che behaving himself or do i need to be upset he
00:33:19also was
00:33:19i i hate that che was like oh pca should never be dh'ing the guy played 17 games in
00:33:2517 days dude
00:33:26let him recharge his battery in like five days let him recharge you worked two days last week
00:33:33let him recharge his battery yeah you're gonna take any all 162 games you take a vacation every
00:33:41other month what are we talking about that's fair that's fair that's a good point uh all right
00:33:48you don't need to be mad at che he did you failed on a bang though the bang was what
00:33:54i feel i paused
00:33:56it because the the the number of outs showed up so i paused it circled it and i said bang
00:34:01you hit
00:34:02a mic bring uh jimmy big cat i i i know that you got a busy morning but here in
00:34:07about 30 minutes
00:34:08you're going to lock back into wub because che is giving us his top five quarterbacks with most
00:34:12pressure going into 2026 so it's gonna be a big text me text me matt text me that and i
00:34:18might zoom
00:34:18back in i'm already triggered i'm already triggered all right also deutsch is here we got
00:34:24i can't believe you're on national television right now like you just doesn't and i say that
00:34:32with all the love in my heart because you know i love you but like you're not a national television
00:34:38yeah i i agree with you big cat i came in this morning to work out and they're like you
00:34:48want to
00:34:48come on and i'm like i guess so perfect perfect i love it all right love you boys i'll talk
00:34:53to you
00:34:54later take it easy dude uh all right so we do have chase let's come i've got jay glazer coming
00:34:59up as
00:34:59well we'll circle back to this hall of fame thing and we got supreme debate also deutsch i feel like
00:35:04there's an after dark stream in your future drinking 107 beers i don't know i don't know what
00:35:10it looks like but uh this this this may be in the works that would be a two-dayer i
00:35:15would think
00:35:1548 hours to get it done supreme debate coming up next here on wake up barstool two days is still
00:35:21impressive all right it's time for supreme debate we have the conversations that other morning shows
00:35:28are not willing to have nick tranny kick us off yeah uh i saw a lot of shame for the
00:35:35buffalo bills
00:35:36jumbotron god a lot of size shaming it is 33 feet tall and 81 feet wide that's pretty big i
00:35:46think we
00:35:46need a new name for something bigger than a jumbotron okay so you're saying that jumbotron
00:35:52adequately describes the bill screen that's jumbo so now but then but then what do you call like
00:35:59illinois's new screen yeah or or uh the falcons where raps all yeah or so fine yes because there's
00:36:06a there i don't i don't love the jumbotron shame what happened to titantron is that a thing did i
00:36:11make that up did y'all hear that oh yeah that was wwf yeah yeah oh okay that was just
00:36:16specifically
00:36:17wrestling yeah i never knew that i thought i thought it i thought it was kind of a jumbotron type
00:36:21deal
00:36:21i don't know i would like a jumbotron documentary i would too had the first one it was uh for
00:36:28baseball
00:36:28i was i was on the jumbotron wikipedia today sony made it i think theirs was the first they they
00:36:33trademarked jumbotron okay yeah so this is that big you said like it's it's still i'm sorry it still
00:36:42looks very tiny it's crazy to me though they spent two billion dollars on the stadium uh-huh yeah look
00:36:48at that that's illinois okay you can't be getting screen shamed by illinois football like that when
00:36:54you spend two points two billion dollars on the stadium i why do people want a bigger screen
00:36:59you're there to watch the game if you're there to watch if you're gonna look at the screen just
00:37:04go home replay is the worst spectator sport though the jumbotron matters it does replay getting amped
00:37:12up replay i get a replay i can certainly see the argument but during the game like the i don't
00:37:19know i think the players use it a little bit like tiki barbara said that he's running you know a
00:37:23big
00:37:23running against the redskins and he was looking up so someone didn't you know catch him from behind
00:37:26that to me is the only real use of a jumbotron i guess i used to love watching a replay
00:37:31and see if i
00:37:31like screwed something up or like what happened or like oh when you're playing you would oh yeah like
00:37:36like look up and be like oh god that's gonna hurt tomorrow yeah exactly like film room's not gonna
00:37:44go well yeah uh all right eddie what do you got uh so last week uh white socks manager will
00:37:49venable
00:37:50made a big mistake he made two mound visits in the first inning by rule you have to pull
00:37:56the pitcher if you make two mound visits in the same inning um i should use a telestrator for this
00:38:02my apologies um so they had to take out pitcher noah schultz noah schultz he was their top prospect
00:38:08he's been struggling this year but conspiracy theory that's going around chicago right now
00:38:13is that he did the two mound visits intentionally to not kill the rookie's confidence so it wouldn't
00:38:20be like i'm pulling you wow i screwed up and it's him taking the bullet for him exactly that's good
00:38:25that's a good coach that's a heady play yeah i feel like i've circled all the way back around
00:38:29but that's pretty embarrassing for a manager to make two mound visits and take that on the chin
00:38:36like that right he's regarded as one of the best managers right will venables uh i wouldn't say that
00:38:42but people like him and he was he was pretty heralded for the job when he got it let before
00:38:47last year
00:38:48if this if he did do this that makes me respect him a ton for the rookie's confidence that's what
00:38:54a
00:38:54coach should be doing yeah it was it's a nice gesture if it's real i just don't know like i
00:38:58said
00:38:59he looked pretty stupid yeah as a second year manager going out there twice and being like oh
00:39:04no i'm sorry i messed up the rare eye of the beholder story here where you can really frame it
00:39:10to defend
00:39:11whoever you want in it whether you're trying to protect schultz or venables shout out venables
00:39:15get him out of there all right jay what do you got so last night uh i know s3 for
00:39:22sure in the
00:39:22back in the hobby trading card game that's right the most coveted new card the cooper flag one of
00:39:29one debut patch got pulled there's been bounties put on it by several people including an only fans
00:39:36creator but uh the dallas mavericks i thought put a kind of an embarrassing bounty on it where they
00:39:42offered the main thing they offered was a cooper flag jersey a chance to meet cooper flag and 32 years
00:39:48worth that's cooper flag's number worth of lower bowl premium tickets which i don't think is a
00:39:56very good offer compared to what similar types of bounties for um this other card so i mean how much
00:40:02would like this this millions of millions millions of dollars yeah millions millions of dollars golden
00:40:08put out an uh a bounty that was uh one and a half million dollar cash advance and you would
00:40:14get
00:40:14the auction money so like this is a multi-million dollar card what i think this person should do so
00:40:20so shout out to roadie breakers a rhode island-based breaking company they pulled it i believe someone
00:40:25named jason williams is getting the card so they bought into the break for whatever they bought in for
00:40:30we'll get ship the card i think that this person should hold out get a sponsorship deal and bury it
00:40:38somewhere so that way somebody sponsors this treasure hunt a real treasure a real treasure hunt
00:40:45because you know the person that pulled it again i believe it's their name is jason williams or is
00:40:50going to be receiving it they're going to be forgotten in history roadie breakers is going to get
00:40:55the credit for pulling the card put the spotlight on yourself make some sponsorship money build up a
00:41:00treasure hunt for this when's the last time we saw a treasure hunt it's been a long time i would
00:41:04be so
00:41:04hyped i would be a modern day treasure hunt every day one of the things that breakers are doing is
00:41:09they're putting like really nice cards and they're hiding it somewhere in the city just give a rough
00:41:14location wait so they're already doing this there's already some of this there there is a trend where
00:41:18it's like yeah find this card here yeah but like they're not burying it they're not burying all right
00:41:23it's outside the light post at wrigley field like right by the marquee like go get it behind a bush
00:41:27yes
00:41:28okay i kind of love this though yeah but buried in a treasure box that would be a great story
00:41:33for you
00:41:33know probably several days if not weeks can i can we circle back to the mavs bounty that they put
00:41:38on
00:41:38it yeah yeah bad they're assuming that the guy that gets the card is a mavs fan and wants to
00:41:44go
00:41:44to every game for 32 years 32 years yeah i'm gonna die i would die before i had a chance
00:41:51to use all
00:41:51those tickets i guess i have to spend the rest of my life here i had that's horrible i had
00:41:56this debate
00:41:57with a friend last week is there any team that you would take the bounty for for season tickets for
00:42:02for 32 years because i have one but i i'm curious what you guys thought so i would just say
00:42:08that
00:42:08living here baseball would be tempting just because there's so many games yes and to just know in your
00:42:18back pocket i could go to any game at any time i wanted would be pretty sick that that was
00:42:23mine i i would
00:42:24consider the cubs 81 games for you know 32 years i think a million dollars is still better
00:42:29um yeah but you would technically make more but i would still take the lump sum but i would consider
00:42:35the cubs that's it and it's like the whole thing's a gamble like i think he will be great but
00:42:40if cooper
00:42:40flag doesn't turn out and then you're smacking yourself for holding on to it yeah also 32 years
00:42:46of mavericks games i mean just look at the last 32 years it hasn't been they've been they've been
00:42:52okay there's been good runs seriously dirk they i know they want a title but still over time like
00:42:57you're probably subjecting yourselves to a lot of subpar basketball there i feel like cubs tickets i
00:43:02know that they're you know in a bigger market they're they're doable i mean doug watley has season
00:43:06tickets to the all right but what if you what if you never could get them but what if you
00:43:12never had
00:43:13to crack your wallet that's the whole point it'd be free and then you could sell them like you could
00:43:18sell them and just make some money on the side when you're not then you're feeling obligated to
00:43:21go to every game like it's more of a burden than anything yeah baseball is tough because with
00:43:27homestands you're doing it three typically three sometimes four days in a row i don't know if that's
00:43:32the most desirable i'm saying there would be a way to have personal enjoyment and make close to the
00:43:38same amount yeah i i'm i'm with eddie i think i think i think they had that's the only way
00:43:41that would do
00:43:42basketball indoor no i i just like i i know i'm not showing up to bulls hawks joy would you
00:43:48take
00:43:4832 years of mavs tickets or would you take the lump sum i don't even know if i'd want to
00:43:54go to a
00:43:54one mavs game so i'd probably go i'd probably go lump sum yeah like i'm thinking if someone had like
00:44:01great seats to one mavs game i'd probably just rather go to a bar in dallas and watch it i
00:44:08would yes
00:44:08now listen we do say this although if you watch shark tank i feel like that's what all those
00:44:14people would ask cuban for you know they go to the mavs season tickets yeah so to throw in
00:44:19maybe it's more popular than we think are you not a cooper fly guy he's he's main you're new hampshire
00:44:24i like him i like watch i'd rather watch almost anything on tv
00:44:30like the idea of going to a game is incredible until you're there and it's cool but then i'd
00:44:36rather just go to a bar and watch it at a bar and then you realize you have 32 more
00:44:42years of this
00:44:44absolutely not uh i hope dan's watching though because the treasure hunt idea is excellent
00:44:49that's a 10 out of 10 idea you get a sponsor roadie breakers anyway changes led you down the road
00:44:53of gold
00:44:53make it happen uh all right supreme bait as a country we're too addicted to football uh did
00:45:00y'all see the hall of fame game ratings it was it averaged 7 million viewers it averaged more than
00:45:08every uh nba regular season game last year and every single nhl game including the stanley cup finals
00:45:16that's my supreme debate last week i think that's gonna be the highest rated cardinals game of the
00:45:19season so no but that's the problem is that you were right there will be other random cardinals
00:45:24matchups that will probably beat seven but seven million people watch we're so right back in
00:45:29haynes king oh it's a really good game game was awesome i mean the game was awesome the sparkly
00:45:34helmets look good too do you think haynes king is going to be used as like taysom hill in carolina
00:45:38he's already hurt oh what what did this happen uh i think it was coming out of the game
00:45:47oh after the game when he touched that yeah oh well would you rather have a million dollars or
00:45:53tickets to the hall of fame game
00:45:57see that's the problem see that's the problem yeah the america we would probably say the hall of fame
00:46:02t bob would you rather have a lump sum of two million dollars or a disney fast pass for life
00:46:07oh it's just a fast pass okay not fast pass i don't know the passes but if you told me
00:46:14a like an annual pass like an annual park hopper pass which is what for the rest of my life
00:46:20like i could just go without paying for tickets and hop to different parks during that day
00:46:25i would take the annual park hopper pass no two million cash uh t bob no
00:46:31how much disney tickets are is that a bad is that about trading it uh yeah so i guess it
00:46:37makes
00:46:37the mavs bounty not seem that there's there's somebody out there that would do it then i could
00:46:41uh yeah then i could be a disney influencer and spend every single day in the happiest place of
00:46:46years 32 years i think he would actually net out on top every time he takes his family there it's
00:46:51a
00:46:51grand uh it's it's expensive it's expensive no i i look my in-laws for a day people on vacation
00:46:56like
00:46:56i have some i have some ins that help out but yeah it's it's what i'm saying you could i
00:47:00think you
00:47:00could realistically make your money back i think that you would go that off yeah actually no how
00:47:06about this club 33 i want club 33 access you don't know about club not a clue yeah exactly
00:47:12jay glazer gonna be joining the show next talking all thing nfl training camps are the biggest story
00:47:17you should be paying attention to more welcome back to wake up barstool right now it is my pleasure
00:47:32to welcome in jay glazer the man who is more connected in the nfl than any man out there in
00:47:38fact he's currently on his 34th annual training camp tour jay how are the energy levels here uh as
00:47:47you're gallivanting around the country they suck i have spent hey this this tour is great when i was
00:47:55you know 26 and single 36 and single 56 and married not as great but no it's you know i
00:48:03um
00:48:03i remember like a couple like i don't know how many years ago dan quinn said to me what are
00:48:08you
00:48:08doing here like what are you still doing this for i said what do you mean he said haven't you
00:48:12kind of
00:48:12moved up and on for this like i was like you know insider fox i was hosting the ufc at
00:48:16fox i'm on like
00:48:17my third season of ballers i'm like tq there is no up and on for this man you guys like
00:48:21this is my
00:48:22family you know it's my community and that's why i love coming around um but every place it's it's like
00:48:27a
00:48:27reunion and it's uh yeah you you're i'm throwing a lot of energy back and forth uh what's cool though
00:48:34like every team lets me train at their facility if you go to my uh my instagram you'll see like
00:48:40i went
00:48:40through the broncos they're in pole they have a new 175 million dollar facility that is unbelievable
00:48:46but all like the recovery stuff they have like going through all that stuff i'm like man i'm i'm
00:48:51going to training camp it's like spa days here at the broncos oh that's sick dude uh okay let's start
00:48:56with the rams then because they've been the team of my first stop yeah uh and that was your first
00:49:01stop they've been the team of the offseason everything has been miles garrett miles garrett
00:49:06now it's aaron donald but from your boots on the ground experience you're saying that we're we're
00:49:12there's another name that we should be talking about more yeah like trevor duffy you know they got
00:49:17him first they're raving about they still are they're like man everybody's forget about this guy he's one
00:49:22of the best corners in the league but i'll tell you something funny about miles like the very
00:49:26first day of practice i'm there and i'm standing over there and miles kind of comes through and i
00:49:31you know i train miles a little bit uh when he was the browse but i've known him for a
00:49:34long time he
00:49:35kind of comes over and he sees me i'm like hey dude did i tell you like this is paradise
00:49:39he's like
00:49:40it's unbelievable the weather here is great i said plus you know mcveigh like all he does is want to
00:49:45win like everything in his mind win win win and you haven't done a lot of that in cleveland obviously
00:49:49and i said also like i think sean may give you a couple extra reps today because he just wants
00:49:54to
00:49:54you you know kind of wreak havoc on the offense and then miles turns to me he goes then i
00:50:01shall
00:50:01and just runs off onto the field i was like that's pretty badass right there uh yeah then i shall
00:50:07like
00:50:08a praying mantis out there man he's like he's like twitching everybody's like jumping all over the place
00:50:11he's pretty sick now he comes back with him oh god so i i do have to ask about aaron
00:50:17donald do you
00:50:18have any insight there have you heard any smoke i mean obviously it feels like we're doing a decision
00:50:21by the end of the week it feels like he's going to return if he does do you have any
00:50:26insight at to
00:50:26what level you think he's at currently i mean aaron donald's the best whoever he's the best that ever
00:50:33did his position and yeah i you know we we text we texted the other day too and i'm like
00:50:38first of all
00:50:38i'm like dude you don't need training camp um uh but he's like yeah i'm just trying to make sure
00:50:43not just physically but mentally he can kind of go through a season uh and whatnot but he said you
00:50:49know feeling great he just wants to make sure you know everything feels great kind of for the long
00:50:53haul uh but i think aaron donald you could just he could probably not do anything and throw him in
00:50:59week one and he'll wreak havoc it's funny like they used to give him rest days right and everybody
00:51:06thought i was veteran rest days and it wasn't it was days to sit aaron so they could see how
00:51:11good
00:51:11everybody else is or bad everybody else is in the defense because when he's in there he just
00:51:15messes everything up he just destroys everything and then all of a sudden your corners look great
00:51:19and your linebacker everybody looks fantastic and when he's not in there it's a totally different
00:51:22ball game uh jay big bears fan i know you went to bears camp what's something that stuck out that
00:51:27might get me excited or maybe not excited oh the difference of caleb this year and last year look
00:51:32they went in last year not not sure um it's funny ben johnson and i were talking about he said
00:51:37i almost got to dial him back now you know last year i was to kind of push push push
00:51:41and make sure
00:51:43i kind of lift him up more and he's like he's so dialed in i want him to pull back
00:51:47literally even
00:51:48have a little bit more fun but he's so you know kind of like i don't like saying laser focused
00:51:53i don't
00:51:53like that term it's too cliche um but he really is and when i was there it was a physical
00:51:59practice real
00:52:00physical and he's like that's what i want from these guys you know it's kind of an interesting
00:52:03thing because you want real physical practices because it's like how do you go in a fight not
00:52:08spar right but at the same time guys are getting dinged they lost a bunch of guys you know uh
00:52:13you
00:52:13know a span of a couple days um that's before luther burden went down but it's he definitely wants
00:52:19this to be a very physical team uh jay i am a buccaneers fan i know you're at niners camp
00:52:27what are the
00:52:27early reports i know that he may have missed a practice or two but what are the early reports
00:52:31on mike evans and how he's looking oh man i just know that when they got mike evans in um
00:52:39they were like this is exactly what we need mike evans is like the ultimate professional uh he's
00:52:44going to be huge over there for purdy for uh for kittle for mccaffrey and you're right he's been banged
00:52:51up but he's again he's another vet we've already seen like he gets dinged he misses time he comes right
00:52:57back in he drops 115 on you uh jay now speaking of niners camp it's it's been a a rough
00:53:04off season
00:53:04thus far uh even with kyle shanahan getting in the accident he he starts um on the injury report
00:53:12uh you got to talk to him what's the latest to coach shanahan yeah i was worried about kyle there
00:53:17for a while we were we were talking um unfortunately i've had uh ample experience with concussions
00:53:25and and what little i had of a fight career um so i was just talking somewhat about um
00:53:34when i got knocked out bad in a boxing match in like 88 and the remnants of it lasted for
00:53:40a while
00:53:41and i didn't understand it i didn't get it and you kind of question your manhood of like why it's
00:53:46happening um but i was like dude once you kind of get through that you don't think about it again
00:53:51but it's it's it's frustrating because if you know i break my wrists i know what happens i put
00:53:57pins in their screws and they cast it i got you know six weeks here and eight weeks there and
00:54:00that's
00:54:01it but for head injuries there is no timeline everybody's different yeah and that's the
00:54:06frustrating part and then when you're in it the scariest part is you feel like it's never going to
00:54:11end i know he was dealing with that a lot but um i think the other cool part of this
00:54:16was he was like
00:54:19man i got to watch my own funeral and i didn't realize how loved i was which is pretty cool
00:54:24pretty cool statement right there and like the outpouring that you get when you have something
00:54:28like this um but it was definitely a scary situation for him and that's i know the living in
00:54:34question was really hard for him of when this is going to get back and dude there are pictures of
00:54:39him when it first happened he looked worse than any fighter i've ever seen after a ufc fight
00:54:45rather than they fight in my life it was so bad and yeah he's uh he's very very very lucky
00:54:52that
00:54:53this was the extent of it it was really bad he got it was man it was terrible how if
00:55:01you just if
00:55:01you didn't know what happened and you just saw the pictures you would be like oh my god this guy
00:55:06how's this gonna get through this jeez glad he's okay yeah i don't know how to ask a light-hearted
00:55:11yeah impossible yeah just just how's your body feeling after being next to the substation in
00:55:18san francisco that's a good question i think i got energy from it i'm fine wow okay but hey but
00:55:25you
00:55:25guys know i'm all screwed up so deal are they are they are they putting anything into that i know
00:55:32i
00:55:32know they did the study and everything you do because i don't know how long it's been there but
00:55:37then why didn't they have like massive injuries for years and years and years and years and years
00:55:43you know and and i might be speaking out of turn because i haven't paid enough attention
00:55:46to how long it's been there jay the only crazy thing that i read when they moved neither am i'm
00:55:52a
00:55:52skeptic but when they moved into levi's i think they've they they've led the nfl in injuries and
00:55:59they've been like top 10 in 12 of the 13 years so like overall since they moved in and say
00:56:04so i don't
00:56:04know i don't know it's just crazy it's bad luck for the nighters hope they they can get it fixed
00:56:08uh let's talk about it but they weren't but they've been at this same facility for years and years and
00:56:15years okay so even before levi's yeah this facility um yeah so that's what i i think i think i'm
00:56:22not
00:56:22i'm not sure about it but i'm um i'm pretty sure that they've had the same training facility for a
00:56:28long
00:56:28so i remember going there under mike nolan and being the same and that was 2003 or something
00:56:35like that okay so okay maybe too much made in the substation uh but i may be wrong so you
00:56:41mentioned
00:56:41the uh the new facilities in denver i know you and coach peyton are really close uh bo nicks to
00:56:47me is
00:56:48a guy that i i mean i tried to be a hater and hold out doubting bo nicks all the
00:56:53way up until last year
00:56:55and i finally ate crow gave myself over to him you mentioned caleb's improvement what is nicks
00:57:01what's kind of his aura his feeling entering this year those guys love bo nicks and listen
00:57:07if bo nicks can um can kind of last sean payton's bullying that that that toughens you up and like
00:57:15the thing like drew you know drew breeze he'd give it back to sean and bo will give it back
00:57:20to sean
00:57:21um i think it was real a very um mature decision if you will for sean payton to give up
00:57:29play calling
00:57:29duties to that goes against everything he thinks of but for him to now get like a he wants a
00:57:34an
00:57:34overall view of the team where he can you know put his uh his fingers everywhere um i think it
00:57:39was
00:57:39smart you know and to give this to davis webb for those two guys to you know see what they
00:57:45could do
00:57:45and i know he really vibes with davis webb but bo nicks man they love him in that place love
00:57:51him and i asked him too i said how's the body feeling you know has the ankle that he's like
00:57:54it's good you don't you know i don't really i try not to think about it i don't really have
00:57:58to think
00:57:59about it so but he's uh listen when sean drafted him um he had this crazy idea he calls me
00:58:07up he
00:58:07says hey i want to show everyone how much i love bo nicks that i think i want to fly
00:58:12to where he is
00:58:15and we have our first round pick i knock on his door and he opens his door like hey you're
00:58:20drafted
00:58:21by the denver broncos i've loved him this much and i'm like sean you you're look i don't have to
00:58:26tell
00:58:26you how crazy you are all the time that was crazy and by the way i think he kind of
00:58:32more than half
00:58:32meant it uh jay i've seen you've been to a lot of places i want to ask you about two
00:58:37rookies
00:58:37specifically in dallas obviously they had a lot of uh you know changes on the defensive end
00:58:42uh after trading micah parsons but uh caleb downs obviously the safety from ohio state how how is
00:58:48he doing how's that defense looking and the world champs in seattle you know losing kenneth walker
00:58:52and charbonnet with the injury how is jadarian price looking oh jadarian price gonna be a i think
00:58:57fantastic for them and that was probably the best value pick of the first round um because he was
00:59:04look if love was in this draft he would be you know obviously the number one running back in this
00:59:09draft and for the world champs to get the number one running back or the number two running back
00:59:13even right is and that's what john schneider does john schneider man if they just handed the ball to
00:59:18mark john right he would have won three super bowls there he won one with the packers um he is
00:59:27incredibly great at what he does for a living um and caleb downs i think
00:59:33camp is like this one everything's real fast for him right now you there's so much also for rookies
00:59:39um more than just what goes on the field that you got to learn how to be a pro but
00:59:42their whole thing
00:59:43is like once the game start that's when he's going to shine because what he's best at is you can
00:59:48do
00:59:48different game plans for him and do different things for him so it's almost going to be like team to
00:59:51team to team what are we going to do with caleb downs and that's when he's really going to shine
00:59:55well and and and that's funny because that that's kind of seems like something that mike mcdonald's
01:00:01been incredible at in seattle is entering this sort of era of positionless defense and and and these
01:00:09these formations that can kind of mutate and change after the ball is snapped uh i've been reading a lot
01:00:15of mcdonald's interviews lately and how he describes the teaching aspect you know starting with the
01:00:22concepts so that everybody understands the interlocking parts and then the execution that
01:00:27leads to when you talk to coach mcdonald does this feel like a guy that is ahead of the curb
01:00:33that is
01:00:34that is kind of uh uh innovating how to how to coach that side of the ball look he's brilliant
01:00:41when it
01:00:41comes to game plans i mean unbelievable and you know players love him um they relate to him but the
01:00:48biggest thing for me is i sit in their team meetings a lot and from his work a year to
01:00:54now
01:00:55his presence in that room is a thousand percent better like unbelievable at first it's like oh man
01:01:04i'm you know i'm this young guy and i'm trying to make sure these guys you know they understand me
01:01:08and they buy in now obviously they buy in and him in front of that room um man he's powerful
01:01:14he's
01:01:15captivating and he is yeah he he's a for a guy like that to win the shoe bowl this quickly
01:01:22and still keep jumping up and improving more and more and more in what he does and he's and the
01:01:28thing
01:01:28too guys he is like the most humble dude in this league and that's huge right you're trying to keep
01:01:34your team humble right he wants to make sure he's humble and it's i know he talked to jimmy johnson
01:01:42um to get some advice from him uh you know how you know what's the biggest pitfalls after you win
01:01:49you know to you have to warn your players and your coaches about coming back um what do i have
01:01:54to do
01:01:54what's kind of you know just for advice on you know how to how to go after two in a
01:01:59row
01:02:00uh jay is there a is there a storyline or something that happened a player anything out
01:02:06there that you think kind of the general public maybe want to ask you about or be aware of that's
01:02:11really like captured your interest that you think like oh man more people need to be thinking about
01:02:15this i don't think who stood out you know jordan love stood out a lot to me when i was
01:02:20in green
01:02:21bay because again just seeing his the way his growth right and from when he came in and you
01:02:28got to think too like what aaron rogers went through replacing brett like i don't know how
01:02:35he did it how much you know people were hating on him to be a young guy to do that
01:02:38same thing with
01:02:39jordan love like nobody wanted him they wanted aaron like you know for him to to deal with that
01:02:44especially in a day and age with with social media when you're just getting beat down all the time
01:02:48for him to constantly get better and better and more and more of a leader um yeah i've i've
01:02:55to see him grow that way i got a lot of confidence in in jordan love i think he's a
01:03:01a he's turned into
01:03:04an elite quarterback an elite leader um and it just keeps getting better and better this time i was just
01:03:11like man this guy's presence just keeps getting stronger and stronger uh jay a more general question
01:03:16you've been doing this for 34 years and by the way real quick you know just talk we talked we
01:03:22still like drew breeze and sean payton when they did the shoot bowl there's not a lot of quarterback
01:03:26developers in this league matt lafleur has won so it's the fact that him and love together that they
01:03:31can continue to grow and grow and grow that's i've got a lot of confidence in those two but i'm
01:03:35sorry
01:03:35good no so like the the days of the dorms are are mostly gone there's only a few more few
01:03:41teams that do
01:03:42that do you think something's missing like do you miss those days or because i do man i'm missing my
01:03:48l4 l5 i don't want to i'm gonna be sleeping on those mattresses and i used to like like pittsburgh
01:03:53i love
01:03:54pittsburgh's campus at st vincent it's great and you got like monks walking around like campus like
01:03:59you know legit monks with their robes everything it's great um it's a really cool beautiful place
01:04:04but like those mattresses are like i tell every player like buy your own mattress have it come in
01:04:09donated to charity afterwards yeah but back in the day i used to sleep in like dorm rooms in the
01:04:15early days i'll tell you the funniest one ever was um i'll tell you the funniest giants back in the
01:04:21day
01:04:23um i like the new york post would give me like 250 bucks a week and new york one tv
01:04:29was giving me
01:04:30450 a year so i had to get myself to giants camp and i needed a place to stay and
01:04:35my cousin was going to
01:04:36like university of albany uh suny albany and and he's like well you could use our frat house we
01:04:41haven't moved in yet so i'm like great i had like this crappy little motorcycle i'd take it up
01:04:46somebody drove up my suitcase for me and stuff and i get this place it wasn't a frat house it
01:04:51was a
01:04:51crack house oh and and i go in this place i'm like you gotta be kidding me so i like
01:04:56there's like a
01:04:57burnt out couch the tv's rolled over all the bedroom doors they're locked i'm like this is horrible
01:05:03well i lay out like my clothes on the couch to use as a as a sheet and i roll
01:05:09up like jeans to use
01:05:10the pillow and in the middle of the night just like six foot seven crackhead in a robe and and
01:05:18shower
01:05:18cap comes climbing through the window and man nothing prepares you for that
01:05:28so i take an arizona ice tea bottle and i throw it at the at the dude and he like
01:05:33runs out the he
01:05:34goes back out the window and i tell strahan and michael uh basically borrows steals betting from the
01:05:42giants and brings it over to me and i'm like hey can you can you get a knife also like
01:05:46a steak
01:05:46knife he's like i got you so that's how my first camp in albany was with the giants
01:05:52do you guys have time for one more yeah yeah absolutely so i'm at raven's camp one year okay
01:05:57i mean you can't make this stuff up i'm a raven's camp and i go to this crappy little motel
01:06:02because
01:06:02the only thing by raven's camp wherever it was back in the day and um and and i go in
01:06:08this guy's like
01:06:09all right mr glazer all we have is like a full bed or twin bed i think i think it
01:06:13was full bed full
01:06:14size bed smoking room and i'm like no i can't have a smoking room and he's like it's all we
01:06:19have
01:06:20it's raven's family week it's all we have so i'm like man so i go down a room and i
01:06:24look at this
01:06:24room and i'm like man i don't have a problem with the spiders and the spider webs all over or
01:06:29the
01:06:29french fries on the floor the little pieces of uh wallpaper kind of pulled off but i do have a
01:06:35huge problem with the blood is splattered all over the world so i go down and i tell the manager
01:06:41hey man you come with me he goes mr glazer told you it's the only room here in town i'm
01:06:45like dude
01:06:46come with me like we can do this the hard way the easy way you're coming with me so he
01:06:50comes down
01:06:51and he's like moaning i said dude just shut up until we get to this room dude and we get
01:06:55to the
01:06:55room i said hey i don't got a problem with the spiders and spider web and the french fries but
01:06:59dude what is up with this blood splattered all over the wall and the dude says oh yeah i'm gonna
01:07:05call housekeeping about that maybe you gotta call like jack bauer or something
01:07:14oh man jay it sounds like you've earned a trip to the green briar are you heading to the green
01:07:18briar this year no no i'm waiting for them to get back uh back uh in new york all right
01:07:23man well
01:07:24green briar's cool though man green briar's beautiful it's just out in the middle of nowhere and it's not
01:07:29geographically great for me to for what i'm trying to i'm trying to i'm trying to you know like i'm
01:07:34going
01:07:35where am i right now i'm in atlanta you're in atlanta right and i'm going normally i'd go like
01:07:40carolina and washington but i'm just jumping up to washington because we're practicing against the
01:07:44dolphins and i'll go like either carolina eagles or something and i'll stay up there in new york or
01:07:49you know uh i try and make it close by hell yeah man the legend 34th annual trading camp toy
01:07:54jerry glazer thank you so much for the time this morning brother appreciate it uh absolute legend
01:07:59good friend of the program there jay what a beast nobody i mean it's crazy it's so connected in the
01:08:04league uh coming up next it's time for stephen chase top five quarterbacks with the most pressure
01:08:10entering this season cannot wait put him on the big screen welcome back to wake up parcel it is time
01:08:19it's a moment you've all been waiting for all morning long it's time for stephen chase top five
01:08:23quarterbacks with most pressure entering the 2026 steven season steven take it away all right can we
01:08:30start with the honorable mentions with this so yes um honorable mention i'm going deshaun watson and i'm
01:08:35just saying that because this is kind of his last chance he does he doesn't crack my top five nobody's
01:08:39really expecting a lot from the browns this season but if he has a bad year you'd think he's probably
01:08:45done especially given all his office is off the field transgressions objectively the the funniest
01:08:52thing deshaun watson could do would be to have a great year though what do you do yeah i mean
01:08:57just put the browns in a blender and put every other quarterback desperate franchise in a blender
01:09:03you'd have to think assuming he's a starter which is penciled in right now as his leash is not super
01:09:10long not that shader sanders is a great player universally or seen as universally a great player
01:09:15but he did make a pro bowl last season he had some starts that were all right you'd like to
01:09:19at least
01:09:20see what you have so i would i would assume if they start off 014 015 the calls for shader
01:09:25are
01:09:25going to get louder all right so deshaun watson oli what else we got uh last honorable mention i'm
01:09:30just going to give to the full vikings quarterback room jj mccarthy what's going to happen with him
01:09:34kevin uh kevin o'connell is seen as the quarterback whisperer so if you can't succeed with him
01:09:39where's a logical place that you go and then also former number one overall pick kyler murray
01:09:44who seems to be slightly ahead in the quarterback race former number one overall pick discarded by
01:09:50arizona if he cannot turn around with kevin o'connell and beat out jj mccarthy where does he think
01:09:55so that's what i would have y'all been able to make sense of this quarterback battle from afar i've
01:10:00been
01:10:00seeing a bit of it online it seems like they alternate days of who wins the battle and and that
01:10:06and and the weirdest part is yes but then like people paint it as that guy's won the entire time
01:10:12so i'll see one thing about you know the college dominating the entire time but then it's like no
01:10:16actually jj's dominant i've i've i've no idea okay who's number five number five i'm going with
01:10:23bryce young so the the panthers coming off a division winning season is he the guy he's gotten
01:10:29steadily a little bit better each season but this is a guy who barely cracked 3 000 yards passing last
01:10:35year is he going to be the guy to lead the panthers and dave canals into the future he's coming
01:10:40up on
01:10:40that time where uh they haven't given him a contract extension yet um are they going to commit to him
01:10:46kind of long term i think that's very much a question has there ever been a panthers quarterback
01:10:51that could be considered top five most pressure in the nfl i don't i don't i don't i don't know
01:10:57about
01:10:57this one off the bat that's all i'm saying i don't know about this one off the bat yeah he
01:11:01was
01:11:01awesome i didn't say yeah okay okay okay who's number four uh number four is justin herbert is
01:11:08he finally going to be able to get it done jake malice i think all the way down i would
01:11:12have gone
01:11:12higher i would have gone higher i think i think the top three is pretty deserving because number
01:11:19three we've got a guy we've already talked about today joe burrow yep can he stay healthy
01:11:25what is his future the guys that are on this list very much are what's going to happen with them
01:11:30in the future joe burrow you think is safe because he is seen as an elite quarterback but
01:11:34can he stay healthy can he and the bangles take the next step if they can't again this season
01:11:39what's the future going to be is our heads going to roll is he going to be potentially in a
01:11:43different
01:11:43team is he going to potentially be on the trade block is jamar chase going to be upset who knows
01:11:48he only gets hurt when uh tiger woods gets hurt their cert their surgeries are always aligned
01:11:52they're bound somehow tigers tiger stripes yeah uh number two we have a guy who left a bad taste in
01:12:00everybody's mouth at the end of last season cj stroud four picks 43 completion percentage uh in that
01:12:06playoff game is he going to be very similar him and bryce young same draft class are the texans going
01:12:12to build around him their defense is ready made to compete for a super bowl is he the guy to
01:12:18lead
01:12:18them there who would be number one i thought i'm racking my brain who would be number one on this
01:12:23list guys i thought it was going to be cj um should we all guess one oh okay okay i'll
01:12:30guess one oh yeah
01:12:31guess um in a weird way like the broncos are so ready like is there an argument for bonix it
01:12:38is super
01:12:38bowl or bus time yeah for the broncos that's why i'm going with matt stafford oh okay i they are
01:12:46far and away the super bowl favorites they brought in so much on the defensive side that
01:12:52he has to win one yeah i mean that like yes they give it and i know he just won
01:12:56mvp and everything
01:12:57but to your point the expectation level anything short of super bowl is a failed season uh but it's
01:13:02it's josh allen it's not so i looked at this as most pressure like josh allen and lamar jackson
01:13:08certainly they have new coaches but you can kind of if they don't have a super bowl winning year you
01:13:14can
01:13:14kind of chalk it up to that i don't think anyone is crazy worried josh allen's not going to have
01:13:19a
01:13:19great season um certainly dj moore is there they've added to the offense in baltimore new coach things
01:13:26are hopefully taking a turning over a new leaf maybe they can get to the afc championship game
01:13:30can they win at all maybe but i think the number one most pressure on a guy and it kind
01:13:33of pains me
01:13:34to say is a guy that just turned down 100 million dollars and that's baker mayfield
01:13:39i mean i when i put this list together it's about guys who you're not totally sure what's
01:13:46happening with them after this season these guys are playing for their jobs literally uh and and i
01:13:52think baker is going to be sad i think he's going to be a buck but especially after turning down
01:13:57the
01:13:57contract and the comments made both by him and by jason light it's it's uncertain what he's going to do
01:14:06i think he's the pivot point of hit not only that team but the entire division and what that
01:14:11looks like uh moving forward you can't let big cats we fell for it again we can't let big cats
01:14:16i do not think baker was gonna get triggered i don't want baker to be on this list to be
01:14:20clear
01:14:21you made the list this is this is this is an unbiased list i mean you could have deck prescott
01:14:27in
01:14:27there instead of bryce young i think that probably makes more sense there see per this list i think cj
01:14:32stroud's under more pressure than anybody per the parameters of this list like there is no world
01:14:37that baker's under more pressure than cj stroud a super bowl ready another team will scoop up baker
01:14:42mayfield if it goes awry in tampa like cj stroud of course oh no cj well they'll take him in
01:14:48and
01:14:48compete but like cj stroud will be viewed as like a non-starter in the nfl if he doesn't do
01:14:53well with
01:14:53this texas team i think herbert too should should be one or two yeah herbert entering year seven's
01:15:01crazy already and we're still at the same spot where it's like what if yeah exactly it's crazy
01:15:08doyce who do you think has the most pressure on this list
01:15:13i think there's a lot of pressure on lamar and josh allen
01:15:18but i get where chase coming from as far like those two are going to be safe no matter what
01:15:23but i get i get where he's coming from with this list yeah the fifth spot was up for debate
01:15:29and you
01:15:29know i think i think it is really just more like we're uncertain about where these quarterbacks will
01:15:34will land any of them could honestly win the super bowl outside of bryce young um and people
01:15:40wouldn't be crazy surprised but they also could have steven if the baker if the bucks won the
01:15:49super bowl this year i would be nobody would be surprised i would be truly shocked if they won
01:15:54the super bowl this year i mean they've been a playoff team you know outside of last year
01:15:58several years in a row with baker i would be surprised with most of these guys to win the super
01:16:03bowl i would tell you look texans defense sure burrow we've seen him get there yeah bryce young
01:16:08would be crazy justin herbert justin herbert would be pretty crazy as well i mean these are all
01:16:16bengals not but like these are all basically perennial playoff teams the bengals are hit and
01:16:20miss if burrow is healthy well there it is steven chase top five quarterbacks under the most
01:16:26under the most pressure entering 2026 deutsch uh who's a better protagonist tommy pickles or doug
01:16:33funny it's a really good question i mean i don't have a tattoo of doug funny on my upper thigh
01:16:41i gotta go tommy pickles tommy pickles taking the home number one best protagonist of nickelodeon
01:16:46shows you watch growing up coming up next we got do you care to close out this tuesday edition of
01:16:51wake up barstool all right we do it every tuesday exercise our free will we close out the show a
01:17:01little
01:17:01game of do you care where i'm going to give you a story and you have to decide whether or
01:17:06not you
01:17:07care uh world series game seven if it were to come to pass would be scheduled on halloween october 31st
01:17:17do you care that's kind of scary black cat action i i think i like it i think i love
01:17:25it
01:17:25i think i i think that it would it might get weird with like i guess people want to do
01:17:29halloween
01:17:29parties or something but you could do some very cool stuff in production with with a halloween game
01:17:36seven i think i care a ton i think seeing will people be in the stands in costume yeah i
01:17:41think
01:17:42for game seven that's crazy yeah i do yeah i don't want the cubs if napoleon dynamite catches
01:17:48a home run yeah but like the cubs losing in like heartbreaking fashion then they got to walk
01:17:53past walter white a bunch of walter white exactly yeah i hate this fan interference from austin powers
01:18:01would be so funny this is potentially the obviously the biggest game of the baseball season conflict
01:18:07like halloween's got to be a a no sports day in my opinion really just because trick-or-treating
01:18:12that's that halloween is bigger than christmas in my opinion for kids that's like the super bowl
01:18:17for kids especially this part of the country was so nice last year i know it can go awry but
01:18:21last
01:18:21year was like out of a movie perfect day uh maybe you're right chay uh kawaii leonard
01:18:26it's not me if you've heard this before allegedly had secret sponsorship deals with dactronics
01:18:32so we now know that there's like two more kawaii leonard getting paid on the side stories
01:18:39i don't think you can be surprised at this point just like show up to one appearance like what i
01:18:44don't understand how easy this was to yeah yeah like you could have you could have fulfilled the
01:18:50most basic requirements of making this look somewhat legitimate yeah like maybe he did i don't know i
01:18:55don't know the full details in this but i'm gonna say that i actually don't care uh because i haven't
01:19:00really cared about kawaii leonard but for what feels like a decade now since toronto basically
01:19:05and all these stories just are so dense and kind of like make your eyes glaze over a little bit
01:19:12i
01:19:13mean deutz how good is kawaii now don't really hear much about kawaii anymore i know he was coming
01:19:20off his best year last year in a long time i ranked him as the top five player that's what
01:19:24i'm saying but
01:19:24but he still meant like kind of like he can play at that level and i still felt like he
01:19:30didn't mean
01:19:30much to the nba the clip the clip as a whole was we're very bad but i mean he is
01:19:35he's awesome if
01:19:36he's on the raptors i think the raptors are easily a top six team in the east next year so
01:19:41i think it
01:19:41will matter right now in the off season when we already have one of these stories i don't think
01:19:46this matters uh i'm not skipping the mizzou one because the u.s senate recognizes the mizzou 1960
01:19:53football team as national champions they are now one of five teams to claim the 1960 national title
01:20:01along with minnesota old miss washington and iowa there's somebody i need to congratulate
01:20:06right so you definitely care green greg congratulations champ national champs we also
01:20:11got uh reese and jeremy in production natty champs uh a shortstop jacob wilson breaks the record for
01:20:17most consecutive games on the air at shortstop 111 games nice job jacob is that the extent
01:20:25didn't that kind of suck like what what he's done is objectively incredible hasn't made a mistake at
01:20:31his job and yet that's that's just kind of uh that's just kind of whoa whoa i i i i
01:20:38beat david an
01:20:39argument last week and dave said i was right on some stuff yesterday really yeah so not to brag
01:20:44we're uh we're moving in the right direction uh no jacob wilson could never work here uh total okay
01:20:51do you care there's a total solar eclipse tomorrow uh none of the u.s is going to be though
01:20:58eclipse
01:20:59to like in totality only apparently parts of greenland iceland and northern spain we'll see that full
01:21:06eclipse at no we're not seeing it parts of alaska the northern appalachians
01:21:14eastern canada and northern africa will be partial i was going to be really mad because they made a
01:21:17huge deal out of that a few years ago when everybody got the glasses yeah yeah so okay yeah
01:21:24so april 8 2024 yeah at least it's not we got an eclipse heading already i will say i think
01:21:31it was
01:21:31maybe 2017 or 2018 in new york city there was a big eclipse and i i didn't do the lenses
01:21:36i looked
01:21:36right at it big mistake really couldn't see for like 20 minutes you burnt whoa were you terrified it was
01:21:42bad i'm never gonna do that again like you couldn't see and like i i i could my i could
01:21:47see
01:21:47things but there were giant black spots like where i would be looking at you directly were you panicked
01:21:52yes very scary yeah that's like oh that's that's one of the funniest that's one of the funniest
01:22:00trump moments is when they were like don't look at the sun and they show him like straight up at
01:22:06uh okay do you care seven up is changing their recipe to feature more lime wow no you can't do
01:22:15this you can't change it that seems crazy we've been doing this for decades dude just make a new
01:22:20version of just call it something else this is what they do though and then people are going to
01:22:24complain and want the old one back and the old one's going to get a lot of sales and popularity
01:22:29so
01:22:29i'm on to this i do like the seven up mascot it's just their red dot i do forget its
01:22:34name but i like
01:22:34that he's the mascot jay do you care that the nba is going to tip off on a tuesday with
01:22:39a 2 p.m
01:22:40afternoon game with the knicks i'm pretty sure it always tips off on a tuesday 2 p.m afternoon game
01:22:44it sounds kind of weird but hey more basketball during the day love it there you go there it is
01:22:48hey
01:22:49deutsch thank you so much for letting us interrupt your workout time you're the man thank you nicky
01:22:52thanks for having me jay we'll see y'all tomorrow dude for more wake up barstool
01:22:56got dan mullen coming on tomorrow
