How did your school years and A-Level results shape you?
Transcript
00:00I know people who got grades that are lower than what they expected and they still made
00:05good things out of it. I think it's about staying positive.
00:08Wishing you all the very best for a bright future and choosing the right course which
00:12suits for you. I mean like me myself, my daughter is also finishing her A-levels as well. But
00:18you know like she is better for the parents to advise what they can and sometimes the
00:23kids choose their own courses.
00:24Clearing can work out better than you might think. That's what I personally found. I underperformed
00:29in my A-levels to what I wanted but I was still able to go to the university I really
00:34wanted
00:34to. I ended up going to Uni of York. That was my goal anyway. I just had to study something
00:38similar but not exactly what I wanted to do. And I'm still happy for it. It's made me better.
00:44I was lucky enough to get the grades I needed. I actually slipped down to a B on the subject
00:52that I was going to study at Uni even though I've been top of the year.
00:56Whether you want to do an apprenticeship, whether you want to redo your A-levels, whether you
01:00want to go to that university that you don't think is actually good. Trust me, people really
01:05only care about a good attitude because people with a good attitude, they're easier to work
01:11with and do things with. So don't worry about grades too much. Have a good character.
01:15They didn't have a huge impact on my life. Like I managed to get a good job, the best job
01:21probably. I'm doing what I like. I'm 37 and you know, I'm following my dreams.
01:26It's all going to be okay at the end. What will be, will be.
