00:00Story time, let's get ready, with Fergie and friends, with Fergie and friends.
00:10My darling daughter, there's nobody more in the world that I love more than you and Beatrice
00:16and I'm just so grateful to you both for supporting me through this crazy, this crazy time
00:23and I just love you and thank you for reading this story, Yush.
00:30So today, I am reading All in One Piece by Jill Murphy. Elephants are my favourite animal, so this is
00:38very important to me.
00:41Mr. Large was getting ready for work.
00:44Don't forget the office dinner dance tonight, dear, he said.
00:48Of course I won't, said Mrs. Large. I've been thinking about it all year.
00:54Are children allowed at the dinner dance, asked Lester.
00:57No, said Mrs. Large. It'll be too late for little ones.
01:01What about the baby, asked Luke.
01:04Granny is coming to take care of everyone, said Mrs. Large, so there's no need to worry.
01:12Granny arrived at tea time. The children were already bathed and in their nightclothes.
01:17Granny gave them some painting to do while she tidied up and Mr. and Mrs. Large went upstairs to get
01:23ready.
01:25Luke sneaked into the bathroom while Mr. Large was shaving.
01:29Will I have to shave when I grow up? He asked, patting foam onto his trunk.
01:35Go away, said Mr. Large. I don't want you ruining my best trousers.
01:41The baby crept into the bedroom where Mrs. Large was putting on her make-up.
01:47Mrs. Large didn't notice until it was too late.
01:51Look, said the baby. Pretty.
01:54Don't move, said Mrs. Large. Don't touch anything.
01:58Outside on the landing, things were even worse.
02:02Laura was clopping about in her mother's best shoes and beads.
02:06And Lester and Luke were seeing how many toys they could cram into her new tights.
02:13Downstairs at once, fellow Mrs. Large.
02:16Can't I just have one night in the whole year to myself?
02:20One night where I'm not covered in jam and poster paint.
02:23One night where I can put on my new dress and walk through the front door all in one piece.
02:29The children went downstairs to Granny.
02:32Mr. Large followed soon after, very smart in his best suit.
02:37At last, Mrs. Large appeared in the doorway.
02:40How do I look, she asked.
02:44Pretty mummy, gasped the children.
02:47What a smasher, said Mr. Large.
02:49You look like a film star, dear, said Granny.
02:52Hands off, said Mr. Large, to the paint-smeared children.
02:58Mr. and Mrs. Large got ready to leave.
03:00Goodbye, everyone, they said.
03:02Be good now.
03:03The baby began to cry.
03:06Just go, said Granny, picking her up.
03:08She'll stop as soon as you've left.
03:10Have a lovely time.
03:12We've escaped, said Mr. Large, with a smile, closing the front door behind them.
03:16All in one piece, said Mrs. Large.
03:19And not a smear of paint between us.
03:21Actually, said Mr. Large gallantly, you'd look wonderful to me, even if you were covered in paint.
03:28Which was perfectly true.
03:30And just as well, really.
03:38With Fergie and friends.
03:40With Fergie and friends.
03:43With Fergie and friends.
