00:00This morning I have been helping Heathrow with their initiative for volunteers to be able to greet and meet loved
00:07ones if you can't be there yourself.
00:10And basically what you do is you can get in touch with Heathrow Airport on their Twitter and ask them
00:16to give them a hug, give them a coffee, just say hi.
00:18The most that people want to do at Christmas is be with their loved ones.
00:22And if that can start at the airport when you haven't seen somebody for such a long time or you've
00:27just really missed them, what a lovely thing.
00:29The one that I particularly loved was a guy who'd met a lady in America.
00:33He was a soccer coach out there but he was English, she was American.
00:37And they met and they fell in love.
00:39Now due to the paperwork and the way things are in America at the moment, two years later he's still
00:44not out there.
00:44So they've got this love affair where she calls in from work for one hour every day and for six
00:50months he's not seen her.
00:51They've only literally just been talking on Skype and she turned up today.
00:56He was stood there saying with a big sign, all I want for Christmas is you.
01:00And it was a really touching moment.
01:03My family adore Love Actually, like so many other people.
01:08I personally can't watch it because whenever my stuff comes on, I hate it.
01:13I hate seeing myself on camera.
01:14It's weird, like even when you hear your own voice on a tape recording or something, that's weird.
01:18So to see yourself as well and all the strange faces you pull, which I do a lot of, I
01:23can't bear it.
01:23I'm like that or I leave the room.
01:25So no, the family love it but I always leave.
01:28I had to film the scene where I jump on Hugh Grant at Heathrow about eight times.
01:35I didn't want to do it the first time.
01:37I was just convinced that I was going to kill him.
01:40I just kept running.
01:42My legs were going like the clappers and I would run.
01:45And at the last minute I would stop and I'd go, no, I can't do it.
01:47What if I hurt?
01:48He's back.
01:49And it was just getting more and more silly.
01:51And we were laughing and in the end crying.
01:54I was ruining my makeup from the nerves of it all.
01:57And we were just both in stitches.
01:58But in the end, Richard Curtis just said to me, just go for it.
02:02You know, just go for it.
02:03That's what we love about this character is that, you know, she just doesn't care about anything else.
02:08She just loves him and so that's what I just try to do.

05:42Our house at Christmas is one big party.
05:45We have loads of people come to ours.
05:48There's music from the minute we get up,
05:49whilst we're cooking breakfast, whilst we're cooking lunch.
05:52We unwrap loads of presents in the morning in our gym jams.
05:56Then food, it's just very much about food, drink, music.
06:00People come in and out of the house all day.
06:02You know, those people that kind of have had enough of their own family after 10 minutes.
06:06They come to us for a bit of light relief.
06:08And it's really lovely.
06:10Like I say, it's just one big Christmassy party.
06:13And finally, your favourite tradition at Christmas?
06:17My favourite tradition at Christmas is I do love going to church.
06:23I'm not a really religious person, but I do find at Christmas,
06:27it's a nice time to contemplate, to think about what you've lost,
06:32what you've got, who you miss and just kind of take stock of your life.
06:38I think it's a nice place to do that in church.
06:40And that's the one time that I like to go is on Christmas Eve
06:44and think about what really matters and light a candle for those that I've lost.
06:49And we also have a sillier little thing,
06:52which is when we all open a present at one minute after midnight.
06:56We're all allowed to open a little sneaky present.
06:59And yeah, and then we kind of had that little kind of desire met
07:04by opening those little things.
07:06Keeps me going, keeps me ticking, because I'm a big kid.
