00:17saying he did not have time to arrange anything. Kinahan was arrested in Dubai in April. He was
00:23named by the United States in 2022 as one of the three leaders of the Kinahan Organized Crime
00:28Group. U.S. authorities offered a $5 million reward for their arrests. They likened the Kinahan drug
00:35trafficking gang to some of the world's most notorious crime networks. On Sunday, armed police
00:40guarded the entrance of the courthouse. Crowds watched and recorded on their phones as unmarked
00:46police cars sped away after the brief hearing. A lawyer for Kinahan, who had lived openly in Dubai
00:52for the last 10 years and until recently had been involved in organizing high-profile boxing
00:58fights, told the BBC in 2021 that allegations about him being a crime boss were false.
