00:00And it really, pardon the pun, but it did come out of left field
00:02because I spoke to some fighters that were fighting,
00:04and they were just told, yeah, you're going to be fighting in Boston.
00:07They didn't even know it was going to be Fenway.
00:09So, like, it just sort of blew them away.
00:11And, you know, what a score for the company, isn't it?
00:14And for Dave and just for BKFC.
00:17I mean, the UFC had their White House card.
00:20You know, you ask me personally where would I rather do a show,
00:23Fenway Park or the White House?
00:25I'm saying Fenway Park, bro.
00:27White House is cool, but Fenway Park, man.
00:29It doesn't get cooler than that.
00:30No, I mean, it's the oldest baseball stadium in the U.S.
00:34There's a ton of history there.
00:36There's a ton of mojo, if you will.
00:38Like, a lot of legends have walked through that arena,
00:40have competed on that platform.
00:44And, you know, like I said, you know, never in a million years
00:46did I think I would be a competitor out there on that field
00:49throwing down, doing what I do best.
00:52Just, you know, countless games that I've been to with my dad
00:55and my brothers and my family to watch under Red Sox.
00:58Like, I graduated high school in 2005.
01:00I turned 40 next week.
01:01Like, I'm no spring chicken.
01:03But, you know, my 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 was when the Red Sox
01:07broke that big old curse and started winning again.
01:09So, like, I was a part of all that high school kid in Boston,
01:13going away to college, being really proud about being from Boston.
01:16And, you know, I just lived through that visceral experience.
01:19And now to have that come back and pay it forward
01:22to be able to go fight there is just incredible.
01:26And I got to imagine, too, there were some people,
01:29when you say, yeah, I'm going to start doing bare-knuckle stuff,
01:32this is the almost I told you so moment, huh?
01:35Like, as far as what the company's accomplished here,
01:37getting your car to Fenway, your phone had to be blown up.
01:40Like, you know, everybody's going to want tickets now.
01:43You're going to have to shut your phone off, bro,
01:44like a week before this, like, early to get locked down.
01:48Yeah, well, thankfully, you know, with the tickets,
01:51because it's at Fenway, everything's going through the MLB,
01:53which means it'll probably take a little bit longer for us to get paid.
01:59But I don't have to do physical tickets.
02:00It's a link.
02:01It's a dedicated link with my name.
02:03They get a discount for using my link.
02:05I get credit for the sales.
02:07And, you know, every week I get an update on how many tickets I've sold.
02:10And it's just been an incredible amount of support.
02:12I've got a ton of people coming out to watch me fight.
02:16My goal for this event, for this venue, was $30,000 in ticket sales.
02:20And I'm getting pretty close already.
02:21And I still have another three weeks, three and a half weeks.
02:23What's the link for people?
02:25People tuning in right now, what's the link for you?
02:27So if you guys are tuning in, you can jump onto my social media.
02:30You can jump onto my Instagram or my Facebook.
02:32I have the links up there with the code.
02:34But the code, for the discount code, for me to get credit,
02:37it would be my last name with one T.
02:39So it's B-A-R-R-E-T, all capital letters.
02:42I think that will save you like 15% on tickets.
02:45And then the fighter will get credit for the ticket sales.
02:48Awesome stuff.
02:49And it's great to see MLB involved with this and promoting it as well.
02:52The Red Sox are promoting this.
02:55You talked about your pride.
02:56And there's a ton of Bostonians on this card, a lot of local fighters on this card.
03:01And, you know, there's a few cities.
03:04People are prideful everywhere.
03:05But there's certain cities where it's next level.
03:08And Boston is one of them.
03:09And I didn't know if Kai Stewart was going to get out of the building alive last week
03:15after the press conference.
03:16Like, I've never seen so many fighters that aren't fighting a dude basically go,
03:20you know what, I really don't like you.
03:22And full disclosure, Kai comes on this show.
03:25He plays his part.
03:26He is who he is.
03:29But, man, he got under your skin and a lot of guys' skin.
03:32I thought Rico was going to jump over the table and, like, really start going.
03:35You know, at the end of the day, that's what I said to him.
03:37I said, hey, you know, I don't think it's going to happen.
03:40But if you happen to make it through Harry, you're going to have to deal with that fucking psychopath in
03:44front of you.
03:45And if you don't know who Rico is, you're going to find out real soon.
03:49And it's going to be a bad day.
03:50You're going to have a bad day, my man.
03:52And it's just, like, Rico's, I've been training with Rico for 10, 15 years.
03:57You know what I mean?
03:58And he's still one of those people that's, like, it's not, like, we have good rounds.
04:02We get good rounds.
04:03But it's not a round that I look forward to.
04:05Like, we're going to have to work really hard.
04:06We're going to beat the shit out of each other when we're getting that working.
04:09You know what I mean?
04:09So it's like, yeah, it's good to get work with Rico.
04:12But it's saying, like, oh, man, I'm going to get work with Rico.
04:14Is he like that every day?
04:16Because, you know, there's some dudes you can almost feel like it's not real.
04:19But with him, I almost think, like, he's holding it back.
04:22And he would say crazier stuff if he could.
04:24Like, you know what I mean?
04:26Him and I both.
04:28Like, there was a lot of things that were running through my head that I wasn't saying.
04:31And I was trying to, you know, make it too worked up in the moment.
04:36But, I mean, at one point, Rico's like, dude, if you don't shut your mouth,
04:38I'll have 100 people waiting out front to kick your ass when this fucking thing's over.
04:42Like, a phone call like that, people will be here.
04:45Oh, they're talking shit, out of town, says fuck Boston.
04:47You'll get everybody out front waiting for him.
04:49Yeah, it's not a game.
04:50Just like I said when we started.
04:51No, it's not a game.
04:51Yeah, yeah, yeah.
04:52Not a game to him, yeah.
04:54What I noticed is when, you know, that clip went pretty viral.
04:57So, you know, everybody on the BKFC post was like, oh, people from Boston suck.
05:02Like, this, that, and the next thing.
05:03They don't get it.
05:03Da-da-da-da-da.
05:04And then when you go to, like, the local media that also put that up that went pretty viral,
05:08you see everybody from Boston like, yep, that's exactly what we're talking about.
05:12Like, you're not, you, like, I grew up in a time where you couldn't wear Yankees stuff
05:16around Boston without having to throw hands.
05:19Like, you couldn't wear Yankees jerseys, you couldn't wear Yankees hat unless you were,
05:22like, right outside Fenway Park, walking into Fenway Park.
05:24And even then, it could be on site.
05:26And this kid's out here saying, fuck Boston, you guys are all soft, this, that, the next
05:30thing.
05:31So, I just, you know, I felt like it was a golden opportunity to shut up, to tell him
05:34to shut his mouth.
05:35And I'm going to carry that energy towards him when I see him in the future, too.
05:40You know what I mean?
05:41Like, now there's a beef.
05:42Now we're going to, now I'm going to have a hell of a lot of fun with it.
