Ten Negri Sembilan assemblymen were sworn in as State Executive Council members before the Yang Dipertuan Besar at Istana Besar Seri Menanti in Kuala Pilah on Friday (Aug 7).

Mentri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim will personally lead three major portfolios — Islamic Affairs and Security, Finance and Land, and Investment and Infrastructure — for the 2026-2031 term.

Two members were retained, eight are new.

00:26Lingi Assemblyman Datuk Mohamad Faizal Ramli, now helming rural and regional development, and Palong Assemblyman Datuk Mustafa Nagur, retaining his
00:36youth and sports development portfolio.
00:38Eight new faces join the ex-co line-up.
00:40Datuk Zaifulbari Idris takes on education and human capital, Siao Kongchun leads local government and housing, and Siti Noor Umaira
00:49Haseem, the only woman in the line-up, holds the women, family and community development portfolio.
00:54Rounding out the team, Datuk Mohamad Asna Amin on industry and digital, Datuk Mohamad Razi Mohamad Ali on agriculture and
01:02cost of living, and Suhaimizan Bizar on health and national integration.
