00:00Now it's a sit down with Lacey Chabert.
00:02Hi, Lacey.
00:03Lacey, we know and love you for all your Hallmark movies,
00:06but now there's more to love because you have a series.
00:10Paris is always a good idea.
00:12Obviously, we are immediately in,
00:14but for all the partners that are gonna be forced
00:16to watch this, tell them how to win them over.
00:18First of all, it was exciting to do a limited series
00:20because we have six episodes to delve into the story
00:23and into the journey of the characters.
00:25And my character, Chelsea, goes on this pretty epic adventure
00:29of revisiting three past relationships from her life.
00:32And while doing so, she really revisits
00:34and confronts the version of herself
00:37who she was in those moments in her life.
00:39And it's a beautiful, sweeping romance.
00:41We travel to Ireland, Paris, Spain.
00:44It's amazing.
00:45I just feel so alive.
00:48Promise me you'll remember this if the date is a disaster.
00:51Okay.
00:51This series was adapted from a book.
00:54And since we are in the middle of summer,
00:55our favorite time to read.
00:57What other books are currently on your TBR shelf?
00:59I immediately read Paris is always a good idea.
01:02I'm also reading the Summer Beach series,
01:05by Jan Moran right now, and loving those books.
01:08And I'm also reading anything my nine-year-old wants to read.
01:11So we're constantly reading and trying to encourage her to read.
01:14And I enjoy reading.
01:16It's definitely an escape.
01:18We checked.
01:19And as of two years ago,
01:20you'd appeared in over 40 Hallmark movies.
01:23That's a lot of falling in love.
01:25What is your favorite main character or favorite love interest?
01:28It's impossible to choose a favorite.
01:30My favorite would be my husband in real life.
01:33I mean, Brennan, Elliot, and I have done 10 of them together.
01:35I love him.
01:36Andrew Walker and I have done many together.
01:37We always have fun.
01:40Everyone.
01:41I mean, they're all so wonderful.
01:43So I can't pick just one because I feel like I'd be leaving out a lot of friends.
01:46We have interns with us here today.
01:48And Emma was actually your character, Gretchen Wieners, for Halloween.
01:52Between that, the wild thornberries, hot frosty.
01:55You're iconic.
01:56What is the most popular thing fans say to you or ask you in the wild?
01:59I mean, of course, if I find myself wearing pink on a Wednesday,
02:02everyone's like, you're wearing pink.
02:03It's Wednesday.
02:04On Wednesdays, we wear pink.
02:06Or if I'm wearing and it's not a Wednesday, I get in big trouble.
02:10You know, people stop and say, that's so fetch.
02:13That is so fetch.
02:15Gretchen, stop trying to make fetch happen.
02:18People used to say that to me a lot.
02:20And my daughter, when she was really little,
02:21she didn't understand it because she hadn't seen the movie yet.
02:23And then once she finally saw the movie, she's like,
02:25that's why people say that to you when we're out at a restaurant.
02:28Oh, I get it.
02:29And the most unexpected thing you've been stopped for?
02:32I recently signed a playbill from when I was in Les Miserables.
02:36So I was in the show on Broadway from 1991 to 94.
02:40I played Young Cosette and Young Eponine.
02:41And I understudied Young Gabrach,
02:43which I got to play unexpectedly on my 10th birthday.
02:46And I had a lovely fan come up to me and have me sign the playbill.
02:50They realized that they had saved it.
02:51And it was from the time I was in the show.
02:54It meant so much to me.
02:55It brings back the best memories.
02:57I love the show so much.
02:59Your daughter is about to turn 10.
03:02Time really flies.
03:03What are your plans to celebrate the Big B Day?
03:06Yeah, Julia is about to turn 10.
03:08And we're very serious about planning our birthday parties.
03:10And we're really into DIY.
03:12So she and I both make the decorations usually.
03:15And she is having a capybara crafting party.
03:20Let me explain.
03:21We're going to be doing lots of arts and crafts,
03:23which we have prepared.
03:24I mean, we are making bracelets.
03:25We are decorating canvas bags, high level.
03:28And then it's going to be capybara themed
03:30because she's obsessed with capybaras.
03:32It's just, she brings me such joy.
03:35She's the light of my life.
03:37Lastly, you're headed to Christmas Con later this year.
03:39So fun.
03:40We know it's a few months away, but what can you tease for us?
03:43You know, the first time I went to Christmas Con,
03:46it was my first convention in recent years that I can remember.
03:50I did not know what I was in for.
03:52I was absolutely blown over by the amount of kindness, support, you know,
03:59and now I get to go to the Hallmark Christmas experience in Kansas City.
04:03And it means everything to me to meet the people that we really make these movies for.
04:09Yes, it's a business and I love working as an actress.
04:11But at the end of it, in my heart of hearts, like I make these stories to hopefully touch people
04:15or inspire or just bring a little bit of happiness.
04:17And so when you get to have those one-on-one conversations
04:20with the people that actually watch and enjoy,
04:23and they tell you the stories of how it brought their family together or what it means,
04:26I don't take it for granted.
04:28It really, it always makes me emotional because it touches my heart.
04:32Okay, to wrap up, we're going to put 10 seconds on the clock.
04:34Tell everyone why they should check out Paris is Always a Good Idea.
04:38I think you should watch Paris is Always a Good Idea,
04:41exclusively on Hallmark Plus because it's an epic romance.
04:44I think you'll see yourself in the characters and it's the perfect summer escape.
