00:03Hey, it's People in 10, and Ariana Grande is hitting pause. After months of public speculation
00:09over her health and appearance, the pop star says she'll be stepping back from the spotlight
00:14after her tour ends in September. But during an emotional four-minute speech in Chicago,
00:19Ariana made it clear this was not reactive or impulsive.
00:23It's a decision that was made from a thoughtful and empowered place.
00:27She said this tour has been one of the most healing experiences of her life.
00:33And human beings just need a break sometimes. She ended by thanking everyone for all the love
00:38and promising she'll see them again. And Perez Hilton is in the hospital after scaring fans
00:44with a disturbing livestream on TikTok. The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office confirmed to People
00:49that deputies were called to his Florida home after concerned viewers reported the video,
00:54which included graphic scenes of Perez covered in blood. Authorities say he was alone when help
00:59arrived and was transported to the hospital for medical attention. He was previously hospitalized
01:03twice earlier this year for sepsis and a blood clot. This time, the sheriff confirmed his crisis
01:09response unit and licensed mental health professionals were on the scene to support his family.
01:15And it was an emotional Sunday at Dodger Stadium where Jake and Romy Reiner threw out the ceremonial
01:21first pitches, just like their late dad Rob on multiple occasions in the past. It's been over
01:26seven months since their parents were found dead in their home and their brother Nick awaits trial for
01:30murder. So this was a tough one, but also a happy tribute because a passion for baseball runs in their
01:36family,
01:37which Rob and Jake told people back in 2023. Rob was inspired by his dad, Carl, to become a lifelong
01:44Dodgers fan and he passed that on to his own kids. Jake even interned with the Dodgers in high school
01:50and he co-hosts a podcast to this day that follows the team. He says he'll never go to Dodger
01:56Stadium again
01:56without feeling his dad's presence, a legacy that lives on.
02:02Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper are making the internet ask its favorite question this week.
02:08Are those wedding rings? The couple was spotted walking hand in hand in Paris,
02:12each with what appeared to be a band on their left hand ring finger. No confirmation so far,
02:17but they've been linked since October of 2023. Maybe they got ideas at Gigi's friend's wedding a month
02:23ago. Who knows? Tis the season for summer photo dumps. Amy Schumer went no filter for her recent
02:30vacation, sharing bikini boat pics and quality time with her famous friends. Gabrielle Union gave
02:36us a peek inside a star-studded wedding weekend, while Coco Jones and Donovan Mitchell said I do.
02:41She and Dwayne Wade were having a blast. Gwyneth Paltrow finally joined TikTok and wasted no time
02:47taking it worldwide. I'll be there in one second. I'm doing this TikTok. By now we've all seen Kim K
02:59and her niece Penelope Lake-Maxing together, which the Gaines family can probably appreciate because
03:04Chip, Joanna and all five of their kids headed into nature together for the most peaceful mountain
03:10retreat. And the results are in for one of our cutest contests yet. For five weeks,
03:18we asked you to vote on the People app for your favorite pups, senior sweethearts and delightfully
03:23goofy good boys and girls. Brought to you by Halo Collar. Now it's time to meet the winners. First,
03:30there's Frankie, a ball of energy who's happiest when chasing his next adventure or occasionally geese.
03:36Four-pound, four-month-old Kona is small but mighty with a gentle spirit that helped heal her owner
03:42after the loss of another beloved dog. So sweet. Then there's Franklin, the beloved mascot who keeps
03:48everyone coming back to Pocacet Hardware in Massachusetts. Charlie proves age is just a number.
03:54At 16, he's the star of two children's books spreading messages of confidence and kindness.
03:59And then there's Nash. Talk about main character energy. Nash is a friend to everyone,
04:05especially when a pup cup is involved. Thank you for making People Loves Pets Dog of the Week such a
04:11success.
04:13And we know some pups who helped bring in a big birthday in Cali.
04:30No sorry needed. They're just happy to be included. And mom Meghan Markle's B-Day celebrations this week.
04:36She turned 45 with her fan by her side and is jumping for joy into a brand new year.
04:43Across the pond, the royal kids are celebrating a royal first. When Prince William and Princess Kate
04:49brought George, Charlotte, and Louis to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, it marked their
04:54first public outing together in Bonnie, Scotland. But for Louis, this was also his first public sporting
04:59event with his parents. Period. And he made the most of it, trying on a Team Wales bucket hat,
05:05paying close attention to all the action, and even high-fiving the game's unicorn mascot,
05:09Finny. He also had a classic little brother moment. When his mom said he's been working on his handstands,
05:15he ratted out his sister, saying Charlotte thinks he's not very good at it. Ooh, tea. Very relatable
05:22sibling behavior. And it's a new single chapter for Bunny XO. Now that her divorce from Jelly Roll
05:29is officially final. But while she did share a 4th of July kiss with a younger guy.
05:34So what? I got kissed under the fireworks. I hope I get kissed under 10 more
05:38fireworks shows. She's not dating anyone right now and doesn't plan on it. Instead,
05:44it's time to focus on Bunny, which includes a recent breast augmentation, a new Rolls Royce.
05:50Hello. And a source tells People she's even meeting with producers for a potential reality show.
05:55They say she's in her full-blown Hollywood era, and she's go, go, go when it comes to building her
06:00empire. But while she's living it up with friends and following her own path, she and her now ex are
06:06totally cool. That dude is my best friend and I love him to death. Now it's a sit down with
06:13Lacey
06:13Chabert. Hi, Lacey. Lacey, we know and love you for all your Hallmark movies, but now there's more to
06:20love because you have a series. Paris is always a good idea. Obviously, we are immediately in,
06:26but for all the partners that are going to be forced to watch this, tell them how to win them
06:30over. First of all, it was exciting to do a limited series because we have six episodes to delve into
06:35the story and into the journey of the characters. And my character, Chelsea, goes on this pretty epic
06:40adventure of revisiting three past relationships from her life. And while doing so, she really
06:46revisits and confronts the version of herself who she was in those moments in her life. And it's a
06:52beautiful sweeping romance. We travel to Ireland, Paris, Spain. It's amazing. I just feel so alive.
07:00Promise me you'll remember this if the date is a disaster. Okay. This series was adapted from a book.
07:06And since we are in the middle of summer, our favorite time to read, what other books are
07:10currently on your TBR shelf? I immediately read Paris is Always a Good Idea. I'm also reading the
07:15Summer Beach series by Jan Moran right now and loving those books. And I'm also reading anything
07:21my nine-year-old wants to read. So we're constantly reading and trying to encourage her to read. And
07:27I enjoy reading. It's definitely an escape. We checked. And as of two years ago,
07:33you'd appeared in over 40 Hallmark movies. That's a lot of falling in love. What is your favorite main
07:38character or favorite love interest? It's impossible to choose a favorite. My favorite would be my husband
07:44in real life. I mean, Brennan Elliott and I have done 10 of them together. I love them. Andrew Walker
07:48and I have done many together. We always have fun. Everyone. I mean, they're all so wonderful. So I
07:55can't pick just one because I feel like I'd be leaving out a lot of friends.
07:59We have interns with us here today. And Emma was actually your character, Gretchen Wieners for
08:03Halloween. Between that, the wild thornberries, hot frosty. You're iconic. What is the most popular
08:09thing fans say to you or ask you in the wild?
08:12I mean, of course, if I find myself wearing pink on a Wednesday, everyone's like,
08:15you're wearing pink. It's Wednesday. On Wednesdays, we wear pink. Or if I'm wearing
08:19and it's not a Wednesday, I get in big trouble. But you know, people stop and say, that's so fetch.
08:25That is so fetch. Gretchen, stop trying to make fetch happen.
08:30People used to say that to me a lot. And my daughter, when she was really little,
08:33she didn't understand it because she hadn't seen the movie yet. And then once she finally saw the movie,
08:37she's like, that's why people say that to you when we're out at a restaurant. Oh, I get it.
08:41And the most unexpected thing you've been stopped for?
08:45I recently signed a playbill from when I was in Les Miserables. So I was in the show on Broadway
08:50from 1991 to 94. I played Young Cosette and Young Eponine and I understudied Young Gabrache,
08:55which I got to play unexpectedly on my 10th birthday. And I had a lovely fan come up to me
09:00and have me sign the playbill. They realized that they had saved it. And it was from the time I
09:05was in
09:05the show. It meant so much to me. It brings back the best memories and love the show so much.
09:11Your daughter is about to turn 10. Time really flies. What are your plans to celebrate the Big B Day?
09:18Yeah, Julia is about to turn 10 and we're very serious about planning our birthday parties
09:22and we're really into DIY. So she and I both make the decorations usually and she is having a capybara
09:31crafting party. Let me explain. We're doing lots of arts and crafts, which we have prepared. I mean,
09:37we are making bracelets. We are decorating canvas bags, high level. And then it's going to be capybara
09:42themed because she's obsessed with capybaras. It's just, she brings me such joy. She's a light of my life.
09:49Lastly, you're headed to Christmas Con later this year. So fun. We know it's a few months away,
09:54but what can you tease for us? You know, the first time I went to Christmas Con,
09:58it was my first convention in recent years that I can remember. I did not know what I was in
10:04for.
10:04I was absolutely blown over by the amount of kindness, support, you know, and now I get to go
10:12to the Hallmark Christmas experience in Kansas City. And it means everything to me to meet the
10:19people that we really make these movies for. Yes, it's a business and I love working as an actress,
10:23but at the end of it, in my heart of hearts, like I make these stories to hopefully touch people
10:27or inspire or just bring a little bit of happiness. And so when you get to have those one-on
10:32-one
10:32conversations with the people that actually watch and enjoy and they tell you the stories of how it
10:36brought their family together or what it means, I don't take it for granted. It really, it always
10:41makes me emotional because it's, it touches my heart. Okay, to wrap up, we're going to put 10 seconds
10:46on the clock. Tell everyone why they should check out Paris is always a good idea. I think you should
10:51watch Paris is always a good idea exclusively on Hallmark Plus because it is an epic romance.
10:56I think you'll see yourself in the characters and it's the perfect summer escape.
