A chemical tanker driver was killed after a crash near Kulai, Johor spilled highly flammable acetone onto nearby railway tracks following an accident at Simpang Kampung Seri Maju on Wednesday (Aug 5) night, disrupting KTMB Shuttle Selatan and ETS services.

00:06a crash at Simpang Kampung Seri Maju near Kulai on Wednesday night.
00:11Bandar Baru Kulai Fire and Rescue Station Chief Mohamed Fauzi Awang said the Johor Fire
00:17and Rescue Department Operations Centre received an emergency call at 8.14pm.

00:37Firefighters used specialised rescue equipment to extricate the 42-year-old driver's body.
00:43He was pronounced dead at the scene by a Health Ministry medical team.

00:54delayed after the crash disrupted the railway's power supply near the tracks.
