00:00So Seth Walder at ESPN posted this article proposing five big trades during
00:052026 NFL training camps that he thinks could get done.
00:09Both teams needed to be done and should be done probably tomorrow because it
00:12would work for everybody.
00:13And one of the trades he suggests is a trade we've addressed a couple of times
00:17now and seems even more plausible, more, not more likely necessarily,
00:22but more doable is the idea that the new England Patriots trade for pass
00:28rusher cave on Thibodeau from the New York giants because post-draft now,
00:32as they enter training camp cave on Thibodeau is playing on his fifth year
00:35option worth almost $15 million.
00:37Patriots have plenty of cap space to accommodate that.
00:40They also drafted Arvel Reese, who's going to be a pass rusher.
00:44And so now you're telling me they have Brian Burns,
00:48Abdul Carter and Arvel Reese and then cave on Thibodeau.
00:52So their fourth pass rusher would be being paid $15 million.
00:55And the Patriots have a clear need at pass rusher.
00:58It also allows for Gabe Ackes to take his time getting acclimated to the NFL,
01:03coming back from these injuries.
01:04You're not rushing for your young rookie to immediately have success.
01:08So he proposes a third round pick for cave on Thibodeau.
01:12I think that's a slam dunk.

04:09Patriots need them to go out and get cave on Thibodeau.
04:12Because when I look at this Patriots team coming into this season,
04:14I think that it's basically a two man race and it's the new England Patriots
04:19atop of the ASC AFC.
04:22And I think the team that could probably be pushing them will be the Buffalo
04:26bills.
04:26I think those are the two best teams in the AFC and what you're going to
04:30need when you face Josh Allen consistently weak,
04:33you know,
04:34um,
04:35the,
04:35the two times that you play him,
04:36or if you have to see them in the post season is the ability to get
04:40after him with your front four.
04:43We've talked to Devin McCourty.
04:45We've talked to Tyler and they talk about how difficult it is when you play
04:49against a quarterback who has the ability to extend the play and be able to
04:54make plays with his legs,
04:55whether that's in the running game or the passing game,
04:58but more so on the passing game.
05:00Cause that's where some of these really big plays come from because guys,
05:03receivers get detached from defensive backs.
05:06So if you are the new England Patriots,
05:08you should be all in on cave on Thibodeau and trading for him.
05:13Like Shimes lead was earlier today,
05:14because that will,
05:16in my opinion,
05:17that's what you're going to need to win this conference.
05:22Because I think you can get right back into it.
05:24I told you it's you and the bills at the top of the conference.
05:29And if you do that,
05:30that's going to give you the edge that you're going to need against the
