At least two people died in a landslide in La Trinidad, Benguet, while more than 80,000 others were affected as Tropical Storm Maymay, the remnants of Tropical Depression Luis, and the enhanced southwest monsoon (habagat) continued to bring heavy rains across Luzon and parts of Mindanao.

The landslide buried a popular eatery in Barangay Shilan on Thursday, Aug. 6. One person was rescued and remains in serious condition, while police said it was the first recorded landslide in the area. (Video courtesy of PNP La Trinidad MPS)
