01:20What does it take to get fired from the city of Houston?
01:24We took a deep dive into city disciplinary records
01:26and found the city often gives a long leash to employees who break the rules.
01:32Take a city inspector who liked to go fishing on the clock.
01:35Records show he did so five times over the course of three months
01:39before bosses finally let him go.
01:42Or there's an airport employee who crashed a city vehicle into a gate
01:46and didn't report it.
01:47She kept her job, as did a worker who was absent or tardy more than 100 times
01:53or another who was considered AWOL time and time again.
01:58We also found more than a dozen employees caught sleeping on the job
02:02who remained employed.
02:04Turns out the city follows a policy known as discipline without punishment
02:08modeled after this book, which uses a positive corrective coaching approach
02:13rather than an iron fist.
02:15But after we started asking questions, the mayor's office now says
02:18it will re-evaluate the cases we found,
02:22and if discipline was insufficient, it may take further appropriate action.

04:21We don't know if this, you know, way that they're going about things doesn't work in other facets.

07:39Making a lot of headlines and reportedly stole over $2.2 million from a dead man's estate.

07:51The Houston funeral director accused of stealing the identity of a dead man to gain access to his estate.
07:57It's getting a lot of attention for comments made after a court hearing today.
08:01Unique Green dodged questions specific to the case, but still had lots to say.
08:08Surrounded by cameras, that's Unique Green storming out of the courtroom Friday.
08:12I don't have nothing to say.
08:14Just days after getting released from jail on an $800,000 bond.
08:18But who paid it?
08:20Green didn't have many answers about that or about forged documents prosecutors say got filed to steal Lawrence Gammon's estate,
08:28including vehicles, retirement accounts, and this home in southwest Houston,
08:32all worth more than $2 million when he passed away last summer.
08:36I'm such a fellow.

08:44When Houston police raided Green's funeral home in the Third Ward last November,
08:48investigators allegedly found a Home Depot bucket full of organs.
08:52So what about those?
08:54They were for you to eat for lunch.
08:55Green is now free from jail on five felony charges after Gammon's family paid Green for funeral services they say
09:02they never got.
09:03The family provided his personal information over email, investigators say,
09:07and within weeks, Green allegedly filed fraudulent last will and testament,
09:12claiming to be his common-law spouse left with his entire estate.
09:16Green is now also accused of forging paperwork, including falsely claiming to have military experience
09:21to get funeral director and embalming licenses from the State Funeral Commission.
09:26And I know there was a lot in that clip, but you can hear Unique Green saying to the camera
