00:03We're Avi Buffalo, three quarters of Avi Buffalo. I'm Avi. I'm Sheridan. And I'm
00:10Arian. And we're, most of us are from Long Beach and I'm from Huntington Beach, California.
00:17I started it out as a, the band as a solo project, recording in my house on my computer
00:23microphone and stuff and then put music on MySpace, which is a great tool. And people called
00:30us up for shows via the internet and got more shows, played more shows, met this guy, Aaron
00:36Embry, this amazing friend and beautiful musician. And he was down to record and wanted to practice
00:43recording with me because he was starting to be an engineer. And we just had a wonderful
00:48chemistry and I ended up making a record. My parents played me music when I was young,
00:55like everything from Paul Simon, The Beatles, Jenny Mitchell, James Taylor and classic stuff
01:00like that and Penguin Cafe Orchestra and Tubular Bells. And then I started playing guitar in
01:06like seventh grade and got really into like Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin. Then I got into
01:10Wilco, which was like an exciting thing because it was like some of those old sounds I was familiar
01:15with, but with new things like Yank H.L. Foxtrot and A Ghost Is Born. Got me really into
01:20spanning into I guess what would be considered indie rock or something and Jim O'Rourke and
01:24Nels Klein and John Coltrane back to the jazz stuff when I was learning some music. And so,
01:30I mean, I don't know, it's just kind of whatever, hope to keep expanding and making new things
01:35and hopefully make some hip hop and heavy metal and whatever at some point. I mean, I don't
01:40know what would be a good starting song, but there's our song What's In It For as a,
01:44been one people like to listen to. Home record, those are, the thing about the album is it's very
01:50different from the home recordings. My home recordings are all computer microphones that
01:53are kind of darker sounding and there's stuff, there's a song called, what is it, there's Raccoon,
02:01there's Where's Your Dirty Mind, which is on the album. It's a computer mic recording,
02:04but it's another one of those older ones. And I think that's, I think I'd say that one is
02:09one that I prefer people to, like, think about our band sound. I don't know if we'd have a motto,
02:17probably, hopefully, I mean, a series of mottos is just probably keep doing it and play music with
02:21a lot of different people and listen to music with a lot of different people and
02:26stuff. Keep it real too, yeah.
