00:06In fact, I find the songs to be extremely direct.
00:09Even though you have Dr. D kind of checking in with you, you know, even what he's doing, he's just
00:13painting this picture of a world.
00:15And that's what the record does.
00:17The world has metaphors within it, like the utopian city versus the freedom and the chaos and the danger of
00:23living in the desert, you know.
00:24But there's no concept to this album other than it has this high concept of being a transmission from 2019.
00:32Its origins were rooted in a comic I was working on with a friend of mine.
00:37And I found that the things I was saying in that comic with him were the things I wanted to
00:41say with the band, you know, about the world.
