00:00We're the Horrors, and we're at Reading. We've just done a two-hour signing. I quite liked it. I had
00:09some Smarties stashed in my pocket that I gradually ate. The crowd were amazing. It was really good. I think
00:19it might be the best English festival crowd we've ever had.
00:24We have set this task of playing our summer festivals, which ends next week, and we're doing a gig with
00:30the Stooges, which is something we're pretty much looking forward to.
00:34They were the only band we saw at Bastonbury, weren't they? Well, the only band I saw.
00:38As we were playing, they came on stage, and we wandered out from our tent and saw them in the
00:42distance on the other stage.
00:45We're actually playing with them next week, and that's the final outing for the Horrors for this summer, the final
00:51outing for our album this year.
00:54As of the week after, we're going to go and get on with the next one, I suppose.
00:57Yeah, get straight into the studio. That gig will be cool, because it's Sunshine Underground. It's quite interesting.
01:04Stooges are a great time to play with, so it's a good end to the tour, I think, but we're
01:10anxious to get back into the studio and maybe try and get the album out by March, April next year.
01:15I think it's the 31st of August, so it's just the dawn of the end of the year, and we've
01:20been playing constantly since the end of last year.
01:23So for us, starting there and getting on with our, you know, the next thing is kind of, there's our,
01:31it's Rolf Harris' wife.
01:34It's Rolf Harris' wife come to pull some faces for us.
01:40Yeah, that's our tech. He's fired.
01:43But yeah, we're kind of itching to just get back into the studio, I think, aren't we?
01:46Yeah, I mean, yeah, we haven't done it for a while, so we're writing sort of in a circle, a
01:50big circle.
01:50I don't know, we usually do it all together.
01:53We've got a few ideas floating around for, you know, stuff to work on, but most of it's going to
02:00be just freshly written.
02:01We're not the kind of group that kind of travels with an acoustic guitar and sits in the back of
02:04a van and just strums out some chords and people start singing along,
02:07which, when you play festivals, you realise a lot of bands do.
02:10We work in a very different way, and I think, you know, for us to kind of focus and concentrate
02:15on what we're doing next time round,
02:16it needs us to take a step away from playing live, so that's what we're kind of waiting to do,
02:21I suppose.
