00:32that the Brewers just love being who they are?
00:35You know, they love being that little pesky team, and they love the guys,
00:39and they like their manager, and they like the guys around them,
00:43and that's the other thing, too, Joe, is that maybe they don't want to disrupt
00:46what they have going on, and I got to believe, Joe, you know,
00:50Matt Arnold, who's their GM, probably says to himself, he would never admit,
00:55are we good enough to beat the Dodgers?
00:57No.
00:58Okay, is there really anybody out there?
01:00Is Scoobal going to guarantee us beating the Dodgers?

01:04And we're probably still not good enough to beat the Dodgers,
01:07because guess what?
01:08Scoobal's going to pitch one time in a five-game series.

01:11You know, so the Brewers just, you know, look, we're going to indict them
01:17if they get knocked out again in the postseason, and then next year,
01:20where they're going to start off in April, they're going to be 12-14,
01:22and we're going to go, oh, maybe this is the year,
01:24and then they're going to come on, and they're going to win again.
01:27But baseball's a business, Joe, and you've got to fill seats.
01:31And if the Brewers, Joe, I've got news for you.
01:33If they're one of the best home teams in baseball every season,
01:36they're going to sell out almost every game.
01:38People want to go.
01:39They want to go see winning baseball in Wisconsin, you know?
01:41This is not like living in South Florida or Tampa
01:43where there's a million things to do.
01:45What are you going to do in Wisconsin?
01:46You're going to the games.
01:47You're going to Green Bay.
01:48You're going to Milwaukee.
01:49You're going to watch football, baseball.
01:51And you've got to build yourself that way.
01:53So, you know, Brewers would love to, at the end of the season,
01:57look back, hang up a pennant that they won the division,
02:01win a playoff, win a round in the playoffs.
02:04And then if they lose, they'll probably say, all right, well, you know, okay.
02:08That was the season that we had, and so be it.
02:11And it's not a disappointing season for them.
02:13Now, on the outside looking in, people, oh, why don't they do enough?
02:16Why don't they get Lindor?
02:18You know?
02:19Why don't they go get this guy, that guy?
02:21And I understand it, but not with this collective bargaining agreement.
02:26There's just, they don't have the opportunity to do some of the things
02:29that others don't.
02:30And what does it tell you that they have the number one prospect
02:32in all of baseball?
02:33By the way, after a year ago, calling up the other number one prospect
02:36in all of baseball, Jack Centurio, right?
02:38Now they have Jesus Made, I think is his name.
02:41He's the number one prospect in baseball again.
02:43They're going to call him up.
02:44He's going to be good too.
02:47Listen, I think the, out of sight, out of mind sometimes, right?

02:53I don't remember, I know if folks remember how good Clay Holmes looked
02:59early on in the season for the Mets.
03:01He had made some adjustment to his mechanics.
03:04He was adding some different pitch.
03:06And then he ends up, you know, getting one off the leg there
03:09against the Yankees, I think it was.
03:12He's been rehabbing, and all indications are, you know,
03:15this guy's a front-line starter.
03:17It might be the trade of the deadline if he can be that go-to guy
03:24for the Cubs here.
03:27I think it's going to be interesting, because I really did like what I was
03:31seeing from him.
03:32And then all of a sudden he got hurt, and then that was the end of that.
03:36Yeah, and look, you've got to understand that this time of the year,
03:40that's part of it too.
03:41Injuries, that's the other thing.
03:42You know, I would tell you this, Joe.
03:44This is what's going to happen, because it happens every year in baseball.
03:47So if you want another little prediction, some might get right,
03:49some might get wrong, not right on everything.
03:51There's going to be a team amongst the ones that we've talked about.
03:54Let's use Baltimore, Texas, Seattle.
04:01Who's the other team in the West that's fighting?
04:03Who have I missing?
04:03Seattle, Texas, and who's the third team that's fighting out West?
04:06Houston.
04:07Houston.
04:08There's going to be a team that's going to now lose a lot.
04:14And what we're going to say is, well, you know,
04:18the team is probably sitting in that clubhouse very disappointed
04:21that they didn't get anyone and the morale is bad.
04:24And I'm telling you, it's just the reality of the game
04:28that things go up and they go down.
04:30Now, is it possible that you bring in a player
04:34and that player infuses you?
04:36Maybe those two pitchers infuse San Diego.
04:39Maybe the Cubs feel a lot better about the guys they got.
04:42Yes.
04:43But I got news for you.
04:45Those teams were going to lose anyway if they're going to lose now.
04:47It has nothing to do with adding or subtracting players.
04:51Teams win and lose over the course of the season.
04:54And in September, there's going to be some team
04:58that's going to get super hot and that's going to roll all the way
05:01to the ALCS or the NLCS that we didn't see coming.
05:03They may not win the World Series because they don't have the money
05:07of the Dodgers or the Yankees.
05:08We get that, okay?
05:09But there's going to be some surprise team.
05:11It's sports.
05:12It happens every year.
05:13Someone in that Final Four is going to be somebody
05:15that we're not thinking about right now.
