01:23following the two major earthquakes.
01:25Held at the Parque Bolívar Convention Center, 43 public servants received the Heroes and Heroines of Venezuela Medal.
01:32The award recognizes rescue teams, regional workers and officials who provided critical search, recovery and human deterring support following the
01:41June 24 quakes.
01:42The power for magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 quakes caused significant loss of life and structural damage across seven
01:50states, triggering an immediate national response.
01:53Authorities highlighted the continuous cooperation of temporary camps and essential aid services, praising the dedication of workers aiding affected communities
02:02nationwide.
02:08In the sense, Venezuela's acting president de Celerarías highlighted in her speech the role of the state and the Venezuelan
02:14people in responding to the emergency earthquake.

04:05Meanwhile, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic have announced a joint agreement to gradually restore full diplomatic and consular ties, following
04:12recent bilateral talks.
04:14In an official joint statement, both governments confirmed that, as a result of the dialogue between both parties, they have
04:20agreed to initiate a process of gradual normalization of their diplomatic and consular relations, supported by a roadmap that will
04:27be developed by mutual agreement.
04:29The statement emphasized that, the implementation of this roadmap will comprise in first stage, the adoption of necessary measures for
04:36the restoration of consular services, and subsequently moving towards the normalization of diplomatic relations.
04:50In other news, the Vatican's Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, arrived in Guatemala for an official visit aimed at
04:59strengthening bilateral ties as part of the 90th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
05:05During his visit, the head of Vatican diplomacy will hold working meetings with the leading authorities of the national executive
05:12branch.
05:13In addition, as part of the ecclesiastical and protocol commitments, the high-ranking Vatican official will preside over a solemn

07:47Colombian President Gustavo Pedro made an official visit to Cuba, during which he urged the international community as a whole
07:53to show solidarity with the largest of the NTLs.
07:56President Gustavo Pedro's official visit to Cuba concluded this Saturday with a strong call to the international community, and in
08:03particular to the U.S. government to cease aggressions against the island.
08:06In turn, Pedro invited U.S. authorities to establish a dialogue among civilizations to prevent an invasion or a missile

10:04Colombia has raised the orange alert after geological authorities registered unprecedented seismic activity and gas emissions by the Purace volcano.
10:14The alert was upgraded to orange after the nation's geological service said that the seismic activity and gas emissions have

10:27Authorities urged residents and visitors to avoid the upper areas of Purace, Piokolo and Kurikinka volcanoes, warning that certain emissions
10:37of pyroclastic material and toxic gas poses a direct threat to life.
10:42The Purace is part of the Kokonucos volcanic exchange and is located in the southwestern department of Cauca, about 27
10:51kilometers from the city of Popayán.
10:53The volcanic complex has shown gradual signs of reactivation since 2021.
11:07Meanwhile in Greece, firefighters continue to battle several wildfires found by strong winds in different parts of the country.
11:15Authorities have reported that the country is struggling to contain the multiple wildfires in the metropolitan area of Athens and
11:21on the island of Kefalonia in the Eoin Sea due to strong winds.
11:26Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis stated that Greece has faced extreme weather conditions and winds that often reach 100 kilometers per
11:36hour.
11:36Areas such as Porto Hermeno have been evacuated.
11:39Meanwhile, local authorities report that dozens of homes have been damaged or destroyed by the fires.
11:45As of Sunday, wildfires in Greece had scorched more than 12,000 hectares of forest and farmland.
11:51Because of the climate crisis, Greece suffers from wildfires every summer due to high temperatures, frequent heat waves and droughts.

12:48A shooting at a restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho, in the northwest of the United States, left several people dead
12:55and at least two injured, according to authorities.
12:58The attack began on Saturday afternoon inside the establishment and later spread to the surrounding area, triggering a large-scale
13:05police deployment and the closure of access routes in the area.
13:08In this context, the police chief reported that the alleged perpetrator of this shooting also died, though he did not
13:15specify whether he is included in the victim's toll nor did he confirm the final number of fatalities.
13:22The investigation is still underway and so far, authorities have not revealed the identities of the victims nor the suspect,
13:29nor have provided any information about the possible motive for the attack.

14:52Iran denied Donald Trump's claims about Strait for Moose reopening, stressing that the Waterway will never return to pre-war

15:00Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Bagheye rejected a statement made by US President Donald Trump, where he claimed that a
15:07deal was reached that included the full reopening of the Strait for Moose and an end to Iran's nuclear program.
15:13In response, Bagheye denied the allegation, saying that the closure of the Strait was due to the US sabotage and
15:19the naval blockade of Iran, and stressed that the country's nuclear program is peaceful.
15:24Furthermore, the official addressed that the Strait for Moose will never return to the pre-war situation, saying that talks
15:31between Iran and Oman have the goal of reaching a mechanism that will secure the interests regarding the Strait.
15:43On the other hand, at least 14 people have been killed and 22 injured in a devastating suicide bombing in
15:49northern Pakistan's SWAT district.
15:51The blast targeted a crowded intersection directly opposite in the Cabal Police Station, where a civil protest was taking place.
15:59Local police confirmed the suicide bomber struck near police lines, killing bus officers and civilians in the area.

16:24In other news, the European Union will hold an extraordinary videoconference on Tuesday to address the surge of migrants arriving
16:31in the Spanish Autonomous City of Ceuta from Morocco.
16:34The meeting was announced by Irish Prime Minister Michael Martin, whose country currently holds the EU Council's rotating presidency, following
16:43a request from Spain and a joint initiative led by Italy and Denmark.
16:47A total of 22 European leaders called for a coordinated response, expressing concern over the situation and urging measures to
16:55prevent irregular crossings, combat migrant trafficking networks and ensure a unified approach across the bloc.
17:03Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez also called for the emergency meeting, saying that the EU needs a common response to
17:10the growing migration challenges in Ceuta.
17:20Meanwhile, Pope Leo 14 called for peace, stability and justice in the Spanish Autonomous City of Ceuta, after the thousands
17:27of migrants that breached its frontier early on the week, resulting in dozens of deaths.
17:32The High Pontiff's call was made during Sunday's prayer at the Vatican, where he expressed his concern for what he
17:39described as an alarming situation in Ceuta.
17:42Leo also reiterated his call for peace in conflicts across the world.
17:46The sudden arrival of 50,000 to 60,000 migrants in the territory on Thursday and Friday sparked a humanitarian
17:52crisis and recognized the migration debate in Europe and beyond, though most of the migrants soon went back.
